Well then in that case, would any of you mind if I started said topic? Might be nice to have a topic in place for when pics start rolling in.

I don't suppose someone should start a 2012 topic for the info that Mirandir has given us? ...where is that secret agent man, anyway?

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 6 Discussion
---Vertea--- replied to Rufus's topic in Special LEGO Themes
or hours.... Mithrandir seems to have sources over at the Ninjago topic, so we could possibly see more in the VERY near future. it IS about leak time, anyway -
I don't know if any of you saw the chinese website that feature 2012 stuff, but ther was a good look at Davey Jones' part there as well. A lot of the site had odd minifigs thrown together from parts of other minifigs, perhaps mockups from LEGO? Anyway, there was one using Davey Jones' head, beard and claw, but it had a regular minifig body and a very green version of the Blackbeard/Davey Jones hat. Sadly, I was unable to save any pictures of it before it was taken down this morning, but there might be members in some of the other forums who saved a pic.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 6 Discussion

looks like the links were taken down. LEGO prolly didn't like someone selling their stuff WAY in advance. On the bright side, this is a good indicator that the pics are legit. The new alien is amazing now especially if it keeps the white gun. And those naga tails in Ninjago are a must for me now. I have added all of the series 6 minifigs to my wanted list. I think they are all fantastic and all of them so far are introducing brand-new accessories and parts that are going to hugely expand the possibility of MOCs -
I saved pics of the tails and the gray alien with the new torso and gun. I forgot to save the pic with all the weapons and the new spinner or HF part, tho... But still, maybe Mithrandir can eventually provide picture of the new stuff, but for now, let's just chew on what we've got.

From HERE New snake bodies?

That's awfully neat. Kinda sad about the total takeover from vehicles, but reptilian themed stuff oughta bee sweet regardless. Any chance you have knowledge on other upcoming lines?
-
That's what I was thinking. I'll prolly see the lightning dragon soon, and you'll prolly see the two missing spinners soon. I wouldn't worry too much
-
My TRU had Wyplash and Kruncha in spinner form, though I did not see a Lightning Dragon there... I think you're the luckier of us two lol.

I has Garmadon, and no the arms are regular minifig arms. He's an awesome minifig overall and his spinner is just awesome evil. I was debating between him and sensei, but decided for him, since I don't have any majjor villains yet. I also picked up Earth Dragon Defence, which is an awesome set. NINE of the brown rocky bits! Also, the skeleton soldier Wyplash is actually kind of charming. He has this really cool printed detail on the right side of his head- there's a crack with a worm poking out! Very awesome. And he has a rice hat, so I finally have one. I'll prolly do a quick review of both sets in the near future, and then maybe a full review later, but I just don't feel like taking the Dragon apart yet lol. So it'll just be a pictoral review of the complete sets.

a bit late, but my TRU in Arizona has all of the summer sets. ALL of them. I picked up the Earth Dragon and the Garmadon spinner. I might do a review if I can find the time.

Me, of course! lol Here's to 20 years of LEGO love!

7/ Temple of Amset Ra by Gabe 2 points 13/ Attack on the Nile by Yatkuu and Pixel Fox 1 point 15/ Rise of the Dread Colossus by Aanchir 2 points 20/ The Walking Pyramid by Sandy 2 points A LOT of cool entries, but most of them looked more like super rad MOCs than actual sets... Regardless, I wish everyone the best of luck in this outstanding contest!

Any chance you could post pics of the disassembled alien commander head?

for the Pirate, is the brain a separate part, or perhaps a rubbery texture? It looks like a different part, being all transparent and what have you but can it separate?

D2C Contest: Leviathan Dragon Fish
---Vertea--- replied to ---Vertea---'s topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Yay for Dunkleosteus! He's a personal fave of mine :) That actually wouldn't be a bad idea... or really any prehistoric sea monster.... perhaps one that lives really deep so never went extinct... It would certainly fit an action theme. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 4 discussion

S4 in my local TRu in Tucson, Az. S3 abundantly available at my local Walmart. So far, I've picked up the Hazmat guy, the scientist, the geisha, the punk rocker, and the sailor. -

I don't have many interesting minifig heads that would work for a diver, but I'll see what I can do about that head... If I can get a nice set-style cave done soon enough, I'll go ahead and add that- thanks for the tip! hm... I could use the head from the Hazmat suit guy.... its suitably frightened lol. -

Thanks for pointing those out! I would hate to be disqualified. I've turned those into links, but I could have sworn I saw them on another entry- perhaps I'm crazy lol. And thank you for your kind words. I'm really glad it looks like a set- I have a really hard time making my MOCs look official, so that means a lot :) lol thanks. I really get irritated with how small the little subs are- especially against hordes of mutated sea-people and giant ocean-dwelling monsters. And Atlantis could have been a thousand times better if they had made a giant monster instead of the HQ. Glad to see another fan of lego beasts! :) You may have made my day. -
Atlantis has finished it's run giving us a much-anticipated look at the Temple and various guardians. But throughout the theme, I noticed a dismal lack of any REALLY large sea monsters. Sure, we got the Shark and the sea turtle, but how about something more exotic? How about a set that could dwarf the Atlantis HQ? How about a Leviathan? So without further ado, I present the mysterious new set #54321: Leviathan Dragon Fish Theme: Atlantis Price: $119.98 Pieces: quite a few Minifigs: 1 Portal Emperor, 1 Atlantis Diver, 1 Skeleton Year Released: Unknown The focus of the set is on the beast, but I decided to create a vehicle that wasn't tiny and useless or way too large. It's essentially an upgrade of the Wreck Raider incorporating details of the Seabed Strider. I chose the Portal Emperor as the atlantean warrior because he's the only one who it makes sense to give a Leviathan to. Hes Coming to get you, Jacques! Mouth Montage Fear his Jaws of Death! On the bright side, all the urine in the water might just deter the beast for a bit :P here we have the diver and his craft. YES, I am well aware that that head is NOT the eyepatch fellow from the official atlantis line and YES I do own him. I just thought it would be fun to use this head in a non-piratey theme. Water Craft montage Various shots of the craft from many angles. I was really happy with the way the shape came together :) Not sure if I can post this one Aaaand a BONUS PIC! I had a leftover shot of the creature from a side view, but the background was awful, so I did this instead. Basically, this is my dream set- a huge brick-built monster with well-armed opposition and at least one uncommon minifig. I hope you guys like it and I am really looking forward to comments and thoughts- at least a conversation or two lol. I'll be linking to my BShelf gallery which has some more detailed pics of the creature and characters, so you might want to check those out. And that's it! My Direct-to-Consumer Contest entry for the Atlantis theme. Best of luck to my fellow entrants and to all those of you who are going to enter as well. Thank you for stopping by! :D My Brickshelf: Gallery

General Pirates of the Caribbean Theme Discussion Thread
---Vertea--- replied to Oswald the Rabbit's topic in LEGO Pirates
I'm lucky enough to be albe to work in the back room of my Walmart so I can see all the new freight. Unfortunately, we've been getting TONS of last year's sets and the early 2011 sets, but none of the summer 2011 sets. There really isn't a whole lot of shelf space for a new series of sets or a new theme and judging by the constant reestocking of old sets, I doubt we'll have room soon. -
hm.... looks like the samurai helm is part of kruncha's head... but wyplash is wearing a minifig headgear(rice hat). does this mean there are two different molds?
