Amazing! That head isn't as silly as I originally thought and the armor allowing four arms is fantastic. I think that I might have to swallow my pride and purchase one or two ninjago sets this year

I feel that for the price, this set isn't bad. It's a nice parts pack for smaller builds or for details and has plenty of new/recoloured parts as well as one very fantastic minifig. I think that 'playability' is defined by the individual these days since the old definition of 'playability in LEGO has become... outdated. There was a time where sets were build with functions galore in clever and unique ways, but nowadays, I think that features like that are few and far-between to the point where we should begin to redefine what makes a set 'playable'. Great review, though! You put plenty of commentary inn it and I like that a lot in reviews :) And your pictures are nice and clear, which is a plus On a side note, would you be opposed to taking pictures of the other sets pictured in the back of the instructions, perhaps with emphasis on the crab warrior? I'd like to see if I can make out any details.

I cannot thank you enough for providing these details. I am very much into creature figs, so aliens always excite me :) can you recall any details of the alien figs? teeth? tentacles? eyes?

many thanks :) I must say, I rather like the look of the Sphinx, despite its blocky aspects. The scarabs are adorable and I can see myself trying for multiples. I agree they could have used more characters. all they really need is another face to replace most of the Jack Raines and this line would be alright.

Well here I am hollering :D This series is looking to be one of the best sources of new parts in a long while. Already I can see some new uses for these minifigs (Stargate, anyone?)

Interesting.... I would very much like a set of dreadlocks and more black minifigs is good. Also interesting that bit about a new space theme. do you think you could describe the heads in detail or doodle them up in Paint? I would very much like to know more about new alien heads :)

the suits are now light gray! I like that the second wave has taken this opportunity to add more colors for the new parts :)

nice to see that the skellie shield in the hammerhead set was preliminary, though the atlantis style shield looks a tad bland. I'm REALLY happy to see a new Atlantis key in the Temple set. It looks like it's dark blue and gold with a symbol that looks suspiciously like a letter A on the front. All in all, the Temple set looks more that affordable. And I cannot wait to see the review for the angler set!

I got the magazine, and from the preview image, it would appear that the anubis heads have printing!

are there any more new molds from, say, Atlantis or Pharaohs Quest?

I'm gonna be squidman- or at least a squidman type critter wearing clothes, since I don't feel like streaking in green body paint through the suburbs.

I'm afraid none of us know or will know until we see clearer official images or demonstrations at Toyfair.

The Acklay and the Rancor

Has anyone noticed any changes in the Atlantis site? The Paharaohs Quest site and Ninajgo site are up, so I figure we should be on alert for new content. If they update, we could potentially get some stock images of finalized parts or storyline.

I wonder if the Anubis heads will feature printing like the Horus headdresses. If you look, the Horus mummy has no printing on the hat in the pyramid image, but the printing is present and really finalized-looking in the airplane set image. I kind of hope to see printing on the anubis heads, but either way, great molds.

Look at it again- It says Pharaoh's Ques(t) in a scrambled sort of way. Wonder what the other letters mean. thanks for the translations, BTW :)

wow... Some really good stuff. Kind of neat to see them all together. I think that people really went all out on this one and I congratulate all of you for making the effort to enter. And BTW- White, you misspelled my username next to my entry lol. There's an extra 'r' between the 'e' and 'a' at the end of the name. Don't mean to be a bother, but I figured I'd let ya know. I think it looks rather rebellious- like the name itself decided to be different for a day lol.
