  1. Thanks alot, Edman ZA! again a question: Can anybody tell me where in this step the red marked part has to be added: I can really nowhere see a sensful position.... Thanks a lot.
  2. Next question: In the partlist on rebrickable there are 9 of the technic steering arms with tow ball socket chamfered (part 32195b) - does anybody know if these chamfered arms are mandatory or if the un-chamfered version (e.g. these of 8448 supercar) are suitable as well? Thanks!
  3. yes - i agree about the Heli 4403 (the big red one in the middle). IMHO best Lego Heli-set released so far - despite the also very good 9396 and 8856 - but the 4403 looks gorgeous and it has a really ingeniously designed rotor driving mechanism which results in an outstanding swooshing-ability and playablity... IMHO a must build for any technic(!) lover...
  4. Another question: AFAICS the battery box is completely obstructed... so how to switch on/off the battery box if no access to the two red buttons? Do i always have to remove the battery box for switching on/off? or have i overseen something? Thanks for help!
  5. I'm really hooked     IMHO this model plays in the same league as the F1 cars of RoscoPC. For me your car is even "better" because it is easier buildable because the needed panels are much much cheapier than all this slopes and curves needed by similar models of RoscoPC... I hope there will be building instructions, e.g. a photo sequence... if yes, then a) i say thanks a lot and b) this will become a member on my Must-Build-list...
  6. just found at youtube a brand new MOC of Nico........... Just the following: it has 4 wheels and it is really really awesome... but i want not anticipate you, Nico, with presenting your model....but i could not resist making this small teaser - i hope its ok for you? ;-)
  7. does anybody know if this 2CV is at rebrickable? i haven't found it when searched all MOCs of Nico71.... or other question: Is there are BOM / partlist? thanks a lot! EDIT: forget my question about a partlist - i see that Torsten has generated one and it is included at last page in his PDF instructions... thnaks a lot. Again many Thanks to Torsten for making this professional BI!
  8. here comes a MOD which allows using all 3 speeds of the gearbox... it cost about 2 handful of standard technic parts - it gears down 1:3 the drivetrain directly before the fake engine...works like a charm... AND: This mode uses only parts available at the time of the 8860 (which is FOR ME always an important criterium when modding an official set) here are the pics: BTW: fiddling the fake-pistons with the crankshafts into the brickbuild cylinders and making them smoothly spinning (Step 17 in the official BI) is one of the trickies and most challenging steps in official BIs - until now...IMHO
  9. indeed - IMHO one of the best mid-size model/set TLG ever released - one of my alltime favorites... I even own two of them because the B-model is also worth a build... good review BTW
  10. yes, i have linked them in this topic: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=106630 BTW: kudos to you for this outstanding model - in technical aspects and the overall look and design as well... IMHO a must build... thanks for sharing this model.
  11. No it isn't but it was a typo by myself... I have now corrected the link in the first posting. Now it Works!! Try it out, it's worth... Full BI for a pirelli Black and white aventuador are coming soon on the linked website - now corrected link in my first posting
  12. I'm quite sure that nobody knows this Website: http://pixelts.de.tl/ A German guy, a real LDraw wizard, has made full stepped PDF instructions for - an incredible Lamborghini Aventuador (designed by stefan_betula_pendula) - the well known DTM Audi from Lipko - the outstanding Citroën 2CV from Nico 71 AFAIK these BI doesn't exist before this guy has made them... They are downloadable for Free from his website! Kudos to him because he made these 3 outstanding Car MOCs buildable for everyone... Lamborghini Aventador LP 720-4 50° Anniversario Download Instructions EDIT: Link corrected.
  13. couldn't say it better than Jim - way cool and brilliant MOC in all criterias.... best garbage truck until now and IMHO a HoF candidate BTW: this is a very senseful combination of LAs and Pneumatic (e.g. 42008 is a very unsenseful combinbation.... ) I like it a lot     Standard question: Any chance for BI?
  14. Nice review for a really good model. But if you like this model then i strongly recommend you buying and building the 8674 Ferrari F1 racer - a quite similar model in the dimensions but with a quite different building experience - and IMHO and much better building experience - IMO the front suspension of the ferrari works much better and also the steering is way smoother... overall the Ferrari 8674 is by far my favorite F! model TLG has released...
  15. Hi, currently i start to build this outstanding MOC of Andrea Grazi - many many thanks to Blakbird for making free BI some years ago! They are very good at least for experienced builders but nevertheless i have some questions. Here comes the first one: please take a look at this screenshot of the BI (page 57): Can anybody (who has already built this MOC) tell me what are these double "black lines" marked by my red elipse? is this a rubberband? or what else? and if this is "something" important, how to connect it to which other part? Thanks a lot in advance! PS. probably i have some more questions and the need for clarification - therefore i have opened a new thread so all of them are collected at some place, so other people who wants to build this MOC can see all of the answers at one place ...
  16. done - with a pocket knife and its bottle opener i could quite easily and carefully spread the joint so one half with the universal link could be removed... reassembling again takes just a few seconds... well, now i'm prepared to build this MOC - just waiting for some small part shippments from bricklink and the show can go on... ;)
  17. No the Black cat has NOT the same rims!! They Not only have a slighly different look but the dimensions differ also if only very slighly. But i have just tested it: if you use the bigger tyres of the Black cat with current rims (e.g. From 9397) then the tires doesn't fit exactly: you can spinn the rim within the tyre. This is impossible with the correct tyre&rim combination... So: you always Need rims and tyres if you want use the bigger ones of the Black cat 5571! Many bricklink sellers sell only the combination ie. you can not buy just the tyres. The reason: it makes no sense because you can not use the tyre without these rims! This is the reason why these wheels are so expensive. You have to calculate with minimum 22€ for ONE tyre+rim-set, probably even more! In Addition they are not only expensive but ultra rare...World wide there are only ~ 110 rims and ~ 130 tyres available at bricklink - this is less than the currently very rare red #3 connector ;-) I have bought 2 used but in good condition 5571 Black cat some years ago for the tow Truck MOC of Andrea Grazi. This is necessary because a lot of bricks and parts if the 5571 are needed for this MOC not only the wheels. But just for modify the arocs 42043 this is also Not a cheap Option because for a 5571 you have to calculate with at least 150€ (or you are very lucky or veeeeery patient) and for 12 wheels for the arocs you Need two of them.... You see: this would be a very expensive MOD :-))
  18. The rims+tires are the most expensive parts of grazis tow truck: they are ultra rare and if you try to bricklink them it will cost you at least 250€ (12)! Minimum! Probably even more... This and the Need of many also expensive system parts is the reason that the best (and IMHO more or less only) way to build this tow truck is to buy 2(!) 5571 Black cat model Team truck sets. Used ones are available for about 150€ at least here in Germany. For cheapier ones you have to be very patient and lucky ;-) Then you have a good starting Point... Then you need just a 8455 for the pneumatics, a 8448 (e.g.) for other System and studded technic parts and for about 150€ other bricklink parts... ;-) Ah, and do Not forget the 4 cylinder brackets of 8275 rsp. 8421 which are known to be very "cheap"... ;-)) All in all are very expensive MOC..
  19. any hints how and with which tools you have disassembled the U-Joint? Thanks in advance! BTW: sorry for bumping on this old thread but IMO it is not worth opening a new thread...
  20. Just wow  :wub_drool: :wub_drool: Unique technics (vertical remote gearbox), outstanding look, clean design - i'm quite sure building will be a pleasure and jaw-dropper... Conclusion: Another masterpiece from the master himself - Paul (crowkiller), let me cite one remark from your webpage: "...and while some may disagree with me, in my opinion, he is the best LEGO® designer on the planet." (from here - scroll to the end: http://www.crowkillers.com/story.php) - and because this is said from another master in lego-car-buildung/designing this remark has IMO a heavy weight. And despite the fact, that there are some really highly talented MOCer outside i wouldn't disagree but i would second Pauls estimation and judgement. This predator is a really valid successor of NKs outstanding concept car (not concerning feature-count but concerning design-elegance), the Ninja supercar, the GT-supercar (both build from 8458+8466) and some other official models... (BTW: all of them are strongly recommend to build for each techic lover)... BTW: This is the supercar i have expected from TLG herself for years... Together with Jeroens Alfa (winner of TC6) my current supercar favorite with a small winning margin of the Predator..... I will buy the instructions regardless of the price... hopefully NK doesn't read this ;-) PS. I recommend every lego fan, to build Nates C-modell of the creator set 4099 - an sheer brilliant transformer between a robot and a jet - its not technic but IMHO it shows best the incredible design talent of NK ...
  21. indeed - just could get one in veryvery good condition (BTW with box etc for just 37€) andf have built it today with my son... as always with Nates models a pure pleasure and enjoyment to build the moduls and see how some parts just fall into each other after certain steps of modul-"preparation"... in addition this model is real masterpiece in panelling - incredible astethic curves and lines just with a few panels of different sizes and some soft axles... I also own the predecessors 8458 and 8461 - both from the studded area combined with some liftarms and panels - and i have to state, that these models (especially the blue-white 8461) are also very nice and cute but Nates ferrari is a much much better design concerning simplicity, elegance and modul-usage - BTW: the front suspension works much better and is by far the best of all Lego F1-racers... Anybody who wants to see a studless design where each(!) part has a function and no parts are superfluous and the whole model breathes simplicity and elegance should build this Ferrari F1 8674... to make a long story short: i fully agree with you Anio
  22. Holy moly. Very clever gearbox and gear lever pivoting. Are the BI you offer at your webpage typical lego BI or photo instructions? Will it be added to rebrickable? Very well done!
  23. The ultimate doesn't Need this festure because you can simultaneously operate winch and boom Extension with both hands in the IR senders. Both functions have its own motor!
  24. From Nate i would buy blind any supercar instructions regardless of the prize. All his models - regardless if technic or creator and regardless if official TLG sets or his c-models of sets or his private MOCs - are a pure pleasure to build. And i'm sure the forthcoming predator will not disappoint me...
