Karie does a quick head count, realizing they have enough students to fill up the crate. "Well, the way I see it, we could take these students down as a group, or split up with half of us (including Noel) taking this group to the box. Then, the rest of us can deal with that other issue on hand. You know... that one kid in the foyer? We can pick him up and bring him to you guys. It's a thought, at least." Karie looks over the quivering male student, feeling a bit sorry for him. "You okay, kid? There's no shame in being scared." Karie turns her attention to Noel, grinning. "So there is a special someone?"

I only saw four movies this year (one of which was a release from 2012, but to hell with it, I saw it in 2013 and a top four list sounds less important than a top five, but I might as well talk about something anyways.) So here is my Top 4 movies I saw last year as well as funny quips about each. #4: The Lone Ranger- The movie gets a lot of flack, and rightfully so, it's long, a bit drawn out, and could have used an extra few shots at the script and some time in the editing room. However, the last twenty minutes was pure fun, and that's what I was hoping to get. It wasn't perfect, and it has it's flaws, but I liked it enough to own it on blu-ray. Also Bill Fichtner was awesome. #3: Jack Reacher- I'm not all that fond of Tom Cruise as an actor to be honest, but Jack Reacher was a fun, intense action thriller that was well acted and well put together. The car chase was also really, really good. I mean it's really good. Worth the price of admission good. And it was overall good. I had fun, I didn't know what was going to happen, it was good. Flat out good. #2: My Little Pony: Equestria Girls- Now, I know what you're all thinking, "But Kintobor, what about Star Trek: Into Darkness, or Gravity, or Frozen?" Well, I saw none of those movies because I'm not fond of Sci-fi, I'm not fond of astrology and just because your green screen effects look nice doesn't mean I have to sit in the front row to enjoy it (looking at you Avatar!!) and Frozen, despite getting rave reviews, happens to also be close to the release date of the Lego Movie, and when you have one gift card that only has enough money on it to see one, and only one movie, I think we all know what it's going to be. Hint: it's the Lego Movie. Now that we have that diatribe over: Equestria Girls has enough plot holes to shove a cruise ship through, but it was also fun. The music was fun, the comedy was fun, the animation was nice, it was if anything a pleasant surprise. I went in dreading the worst and came out thinking "I may have left my masculinity back there, but my god Twilight Sparkle was adorable and goofy and all that good stuff!" #1: The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug- Or as I like to call it: "Cloudy with a chance of Smaug". It's only real trip up was the fact that the ending was about as shoehorned in as the ending to Deathly Hallows part one, except with a dragon. But it was still entertaining, Stephen Fry stops in for a visit, and the Barrel Chase sequence was entertaining as hell. I think 2013 will be remembered as "The Year of the Chase Scene". So that's it for new releases I saw this year, now here's two movies I also saw last year that are tied for Best Film I saw last year in general and they're both Japanese. Oh boy. Tied for #1: Lupin the Third in the Castle of Cagliostro and Battle Royale- Both of these films are awesome. You need to see both. Do so now. The first one involves a two crooks going to find a printing press that shoots out better fakes than the modern day music industry and getting involved with a conspiracy behind the presses, and Battle Royale is all about a bunch of teenagers murdering each other on an island as punishment by the government for an event they weren't even responsible for. That was fun. Back to pony analysis.

Avalanche attempts to take on the Axeman, but the undead paladin swings his axe in front of him in one broad swing, sending quiet a few members packing. Althior attempts to resurrect something, anything, but can't, much to the party's avail. Violet steps in just in the nick of time to turn the tides. She jabs her shovel into the ground, a strange rumbling coming from the ground it stood upright in. Around the party the various undead sink back into the earth, the ground seeming to swallow them whole. Throlar tries to jab the undead knight, seemingly to no effect. It seems he'd have to switch to an elemental weapon. More undead quickly pour out of the tomb to replace their fallen brethren. "We still have Noel with us though, Heckz. We'll need to find this Amanda and bring her to them. We need to keep moving. What rooms have we not been too?" She felt awkward having just let everything out only to have the rest of the party walk in on the tail end of Sorrow and her's discussion.

I actually have a speak easy-esque area popping up in a bit. Hmm. this would make for an interesting multi party quest, with each party taking a side (Town Watch, Marketplace Vendors, Guild of Invision?) and going from there.

At this point it's a bad habit for the one's that continue to use the Hero's Cocktail. It burns through their system, leaving them groggy, slightly dizzy, and stupidly powerful. The question now is when will the Town Watch and the houses step in on the use of these substances. Kintobor, signing off.

"Quite the collection you've got there." Karie quips. "I'll take one of your meads, nostrums, and smelling salts, if you don't mind. I've got a few on me, but they're more for emergencies." She uncorks the lid of the nostrum and begins to chug it down. She turns around and realize the rest of the party's standing in the doorway apparently. "...how long have you guys been standing there?"

Heroica RPG- Quest #94: Go Now, In Peace

Nope. Taking a consumable is considered an action, which is the same as attacking. No problem though, your new move's fine. -

QM Note: Khorne, the battle's already begun. There's no way you could have taken all those consumables to make the Heroes cocktail. You'll have to think this out. -
Enemy mechanics, items, characters tend to get reuses to create consistency. It's less stealing and more along the lines of keeping things formatted.

Heroica RPG- Quest #91: The Sounds of Music

The two scientist's frown, looking disappointed in themselves. "Hmm. I do not know of the deepest caverns on Olegaia, to be honest. As well, there is no device that I know of that can find specific people or races. I don't even know if that kind of technology is possible. You'll need to figure out the general location of where you believe your people are yourself, Mr. Hybros. However, some way to map the subsurface... it's a curious thought, but that may be doable. Incredibly difficult, but doable." "Hmm, yes... it's something we'll ponder upon. I'm certain Legonardo would be interested to hear about this idea. On the note of the caves, your hall has a library, does it not? Why not check there? I'm certain you'll find some sort of an answer." The two men gave Hybros reassuring smiles, trying to make the best of what they could offer.- 286 replies

"Well, my adoptive father and sister walked in on us a few weeks ago. They left shortly thereafter. They're apparently still in Eubric." Karie sighed. Now wasn't the time. Not with Utuilë in the room. They'd been through enough. "When we return to the hall, I'll tell you there. It's... not something I like to dwell upon." Lab rat.

Karie's attitude still seemed down, but she gave a small, innocent, but genuine smile at Sorrow's comment on the marriage. "I'm not sure when it's going to be, but it'll be soon. It's just... weird, I guess. I've never been told by someone they're going to die. It was always just... so sudden. It's not something I ever expected to hear. I feel vulnerable. I feel really vulnerable." She sat on one of the desks and stared off into nothing. "Did I ever tell you what happened on my first quest?"

Okay, just making sure. Excuse me while I steal everything. Still not surprised.

Well what else do you want me to say? "Borrowed", "Copyright of", Made by Endgame: DO NOT STEAL"? I planned for a wave type fight, and I thought your Onslaught design would work well. It's a neat little concept really. Sorry if your upset. Knowing you Endgame, I'm not surprised.

Karie looks down. She's not afraid to tell Sorrow, she's afraid in knowing what the answer is. "No, you have a right to be angry with me. I mean, even I think this skirts a little too skimpy. I'm angry at these kids too, Sorrow, for the most part, but I've lived this whole thing out five years ago. It was all about being popular and trendy, and being with your own clique. Amelia fit right in with hers." Karie bit her lip. She remembered the few times she had friends during her schooling, if they could even be called that. She tried lightening up the mood. "Pfft. I don't even know where we are. I'm... kind of bad with maps and directions, and stuff along those lines. But if you feel like your forgetting things... I don't know what to say, honestly. Generally speaking, when it comes to that kind of stuff, I'm trying to forget things. Things I regret doing. Things others did to me that I wish I could forget..." Karie stops speaking, looking worried. "Sorrow. I'm not worried about you going senile. I'm worried about losing you."

QM Note: Did I say shortly? I meant a few hours. With the issue of party leader resolved, Althior is elected party leader, and Violet is officially welcomed into the group, despite some groans from a few members. "Thank you! Honestly... You need to assist the Shadeux, which means getting on quests where Shadeux reputation is being offered, and generally not getting involved with the Hinckwells. You can lose rep as well. Once again, worry about that first quest under your belt before you decide you want to go Dragoon. Those Expert classes are a long ways off.

I'm not sure if you're trying to be humorous or not. Generally speaking, sarcasm and humour are two things that never, ever, ever work when using text. If you're going to make a joke, or you're being sarcastic, it's good to use your emoticons. Like this one: Or this one: This one's perfect for sarcasm:
-
No, because you can't be in two places at once.
-
I'm not entirely sure where you've read this. The description of the class states they can use shields. Beisdes, at this point in the game, the Advanced Classes are pretty far away. Concern yourself in just getting a grip of the mechanics of the game and getting a character started.

If you want to do it, that's fine. I've got ideas for one shot's I want to get done while I wait for Baltarok to finish up, since that's the next location in the Haerasias's Vault arc.
