Eric has rolled his fifth shield in a row without a nostrum, and I swear I didn't do any fudging. Can we give Khorne some sort of title or something?

"I'm assuming we're repeating battle order, so if you wind up needing a hand with that vine, let me know, Sorrow." Karie attacks the Rafflesia unless Vine A is undefeated, in which case she attacks Vine A, switching to the Rafflesia if Vine A is destroyed.

For me, it usually relates to the quest I'm hosting. I'm tempted to change it back to Robotnik one of these days, but it shall not be this day.

"Honestly, Heckz, why does Noel need to strike the Rafflesia? We're taking a huge risk if he accidentally gets knocked out! Put him against something else, please, or let him sit back. The last thing we need is to get stuck in here with no way out!"

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Discussion
Kintobor replied to BlueberryWaffles's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Alright, this needs a boost. Time for more Turtle Talk with your neighbourhood analyst Kintobor. Note, spoilers below. You've been warned... The Good, the Bad, and Casey Jones- Just an all around perfect episode. Action, comedy, new characters, winks and nods to other turtles media, this was just a great episode, and a great way to get back from the hiatus. The whole episode builds to this fight scene in the layer, and the segue into it was a great nod to the first live action movie. Josh Peck does a great job as everyone's favourite neighbourhood vigilante Casey Jones, and I love the take on him. I don't know if I've said this before, but as odd as it was to make April and Casey teenagers, it actually works really well, since it makes them more relatable to the turtles being teenagers themselves. Also, love the war paint going on with Casey under the mask. Now just release the darn mini fig, Lego! The action was awesome, we got to see Irma for the first time (who was fun for the minute we saw her), Raph was a blast, and I came out of the episode really having a good time! The fight scene on top of the subway train deserves special mention. All in all, great episode! One of the best episodes so far! The Kraang Conspiracy- We finally get some answers as to what April is in terms of why the Kraang need her, and it's quite a bombshell, if a bit predictable. Okay, it's not 100% predictable, but still, it's a WTF moment, in a good way. John Kurtzman was a fun character, and I hope we see more of him. I like the idea of a reporter turned investigator, it makes the world seem bigger and less turtle focused, as if there's other things going on outside of the lair and what we see. Also gotta mention Nolan North's portrayal of the Kraang, since he just does such a great job portraying the Kraang and their strange, robotic, and sometimes downright eerie voices. Also, more on April's mom, but no clear sign of what happened to her, other than "she was abducted by the Kraang before April was born". In terms of production value, it keeps getting better. The scene in Kurtzman's office is just awesome in terms of it's ambient lighting with the flashlights. It really gives it this spooky look to it. The fight scenes were entertaining, and the episode got rather menacing at times. The April clones were downright bewildering and spooky, and Derpril was just... what? I don't know, it was weird. I half expected all the April clones to start yelling "Fun! Fun! Fun!" Someone go make that, please. Then we get to the reveal. April's a human/Kraang hybrid. A mutant. It's like coming out of Bioshock Infinite. Everything I know is wrong. And I think I love. -
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014 Rumors & Discussion
Kintobor replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
Oh, this looks cool! Just as a standalone set, the lair looks great! I'm just worried about it's price at this point, since the only set that I really need is the Karai Motorcycle Chase. But, I may pick this one up just to get the Shredder Variant, since it does look a bit better than the dark red one. Also, if I do get it, Karai's getting a little stool or something. As for the movie sets, not all that sold on the truck. What I want to see is that lair! -
Thanks!

Hey guys, I got a question. Does anyone know which quests the Apothecary appeared in? I'm just looking for a list of people who'd own it, workers, and what not for an upcoming quest.

I did notice it when I went into the class, since she was originally going to go Sorcerer/Sorceress, but I had, what, one gem? I knew she was going minstrel, so she had to go Witch, and it kind of stuck. She doesn't like the fact that she's hexing people, and if you asked her out on her hypocrisy, she'd use "self defence" as an answer. She doesn't like to hex people, but she does it to ensure others and herself don't get hurt.

Karie was clearly struggling with the vines, her one hand glowing an ominous purple, constantly moving and jittering, the other encompassed with a black, inky tendril. She breathed heavily as she replied to Sorrow. "Like my blood's on fire and I'm being ripped in two! It's not something I enjoy doing... but it's pretty handy at times! Thailon, why are casting magic when it has no clear effect on the vines! Just swat at the darn things!" OOC: No problem! I understand. What I'm saying is if you target one of the vines, and the vine gets destroyed, or isn't destroyed by the time someone's attacked, create an extra action just in case, like "Karie attacks Vine F twice, unless Vine C is still alive. In that case, Karie attacks Vine C until destroyed. If Vine C is destroyed on first hit, Karie attacks Vine F." It doesn't need to be that complicated, but that's the idea.

OOC: Why are you having Noel use his ether when we'll need it later on? If attacks from the back, it's the same as attacking from the front in terms of damage. Also, I'd give Noel an conditional target, since we need two people to take out Gimbur's vine, and he's at the least amount of health. "Hawke can take a bit more damage! Everyone target the vines grabbing the students, as well as something on Hawke!" Karie attacks Vine C twice.

OOC: Double Shield! Karie wrangles with the plants, in a feeble attempt to stop them from strangling the students, surprised at her amount of success. "We should... focus on the students while I've got this.... blasted thing under my control! The short guy should be a priority!" OOC: I'll post my action once we see the battle order.

Heroica RPG- Quest #94: Go Now, In Peace
Kintobor replied to Kintobor's topic in The Heroica Archive
Ah, crud. I need an order for McCreary and Violet. -
It depends, really. I want my Big Bad to be a tough fight, I want the party to have to hassle with the Special Attacks and Passive Specials and think outside the box. A party that can rinse, wash, repeat every battle isn't having the same experience as a party that rinses, washes, and OH CRUD, WE JUST USED TABASCO SAUCE!!! Overall though, yeah, lesser battles can be quick and dirty, but I think Bosses should to some degree be a much bigger hassle.

Heroica RPG- Quest #94: Go Now, In Peace
Kintobor replied to Kintobor's topic in The Heroica Archive
QM NOTE: Can someone please post an order and an action for Althior? If not, I'll assume the round repeats. -
Thanks for being honest guys, I appreciate the feedback. I tried to get some dialogue with Irene showing up, but my intentions with her fell through with what wound up happening during the last week. It was hard for me to get engaged with the amount of things going on at Christmas, the Power outage, and then eventually my grandfather suddenly passing away. At that point, I just wanted to wrap things up. I was tired, exhausted, and I just wanted to move on. I'm glad you found the quest enjoyable, and I hope you got what you were looking for with the interactions between Dr. Don and Dr. Raph. I hope you pay attention to 94, JimB, it's going to get pretty crazy really shortly. The Bonaparte quest is still a way's off, but it's much different in tone. As it stands, it's a hunting expedition for a giant sea monster of sorts. It won't be for a while, but it'll be interesting to say the least with some curious characters. When I decided to throw Irene in, I intended you guys to run into Maude and Helga outside the Tritech headquarters. They would've offered you money if you ratted out Irene. But that never came to be after what had just happened in my own life. I was trying to get across how valuable and influential the item was that these two houses would send out groups of people to retrieve it for keeps. Oh well, I intend to bring back Nicole eventually, maybe with a full quest involving her, but it won't be for awhile. I'm glad you enjoyed the Wolfgang battle! Some of my favourite NPC's were in that group. Lupine the Third is probably still out there, mulling over his hand, along with Daniel Collins (who first showed up in 71) and Pinkamena (who is definitely showing up again. If a party decides not to kill someone, they wind up becoming a Chekov's Gunman. ). I'm glad you were along, Zepher, and I hope to dish out a better serving whenever you decide to go on another quest with me. Some of those "Friendly" faces you met will be showing up in some way shape or form down the line. You'll be seeing Irene and her Shadow Sister's again for sure, and maybe even the infamous burglar himself, Alfendi Lupine. Here's some of the references that were spruced throughout the quest. -Lupine the Third is loosely based off of Lupin the Third, famous anime thief. -Pinkamena was based off of Pinkie Pie from Friendship is Magic, straight down to her party cannon. -Fujioko was based off of Fujiko from Lupin the Third, who's generally always in some disguise or another. -The werenewt was a nod to Dannylonglegs's whole newt schtick in 62. We miss you Danny! -The sheet music the Tritech scientist's gave you is ocarina songs from Ocarina of Time. I also learned playing this that Sandy has never played a Zelda game.
-
Lupine then Third and his grandfather Alfendi Lupine are both werewolves, but don't transform into humans.
