  1. At this level, no. The Fields of Glory were designed with level 15+ in mind. If there's no quest that shows up soon, I'll make one myself to get you three out of the hall.
  2. Sign up for a quest. The only real way to level up is to battle, so you're just going to have to wait for one to show up and sign up for it.
  3. You could, but the Quest Master/host of the quest probably wouldn't let you on. It's just so that we can easily balance a party, since level ones are hard to balance for. We have three level ones, so it won't be long until someone clues in that a new quest specifically for low levels shows up.
  4. QM Note: Yes, you'll also be determining his actions until Sunday. Nothing to severe. You'll be getting an update shortly.
  5. "We have seen Jun as of late, seeing how our work is so time consuming, but last we saw him he was fine. It's his mother who both of us are worried about." "Yes, rather tragic what happened at the Baker's guild. Anyways, I'm not entirely sure about what you requested, but we will be more than intent to listen to what you have say." "No, I don't believe either of us have ever seen anything like you before. You are a curious case, Mr. Hybros." The two scientist continue to sip their cocoa, listening to Hybros. The two scientist's scratch chins, trying to get the fullest out of Hybros's dilemma. He could practically see the gears and mechanisms working their way in their heads. "Well, Mr. Hybros, I have good news, and I have bad news. If I recall correctly, you're looking for a way to help locate your people, and a means to reach them, like a drill? As of this moment, no one has ever attempted to build a drill of that caliber. However, that being said, it is doable. We'd need some way to power the machine, a big enough drill, various secondary functions... yes, I think that would be doable. I think Jun would agree in assisting you, considering your reputation. It will take us a while, and it would be a secondary project, but I'm certain we could get Legonardo to sketch something up and send it to Nicole to work on. It'd be excellent for mining, and other various tasks, such as well drilling, but you can be the first official user of it. She'd be in the city so you could check up on it's status when you feel like. However, it's the ability to find your people, that's what we're going to have trouble with. Do you know the exact location, Hybros?" The Tritech scientist readjusts his glass, setting his drink down and leaning towards Hybros in the chair, looking curious and reassuring.
  6. QM Note: So it's now one for Eric, one for Althior, and two for the QM decides. Khorne is the last person who needs to vote.
  7. QM Note: As it stands, the vote's two for Eric, one for Althior. Khorne and K-Nut, if you want to be party leader, that means Violet joins the party since we have a tie between the four of you in terms of whether or not she joins. If we make Althior party leader, Khorne will be temporary party leader until K-Nut returns. Just a heads up.
  8. Trying to build Lupin the Third's Fiat 500. And here I thought I'd never need those yellow bricks!

And thus the auto industry began in Heroica.

I actually thought about an automobile in a quest. It would fail horribly, but it would still be entertaining!

  9. "My heart? The thugs ran off after one of them pinned me to the ground and the other carved my heart out." She removes a strap from her dress to show a large hole carved into the left side of her torso. There was clearly a cavity where an organ went, most likely her heart, but as she said, it was no longer there. "I saw them last in this area, so I figured they needed to be hiding somewhere. I thought the most likely place was... the paladin tomb." "I may be undead but that doesn't mean I don't have emotions. There's this guy I really like, named Aldus. Me and him are engaged, and it feels wrong that I marry him without a heart to love him with. That's why I need my heart back." Despite her undead state, her cheeks turn rosy. Her voice goes singsongy and she looks off into the distance, as if she's day dreaming. She snaps out of it, looking about her, somewhat confused. "Oh, sorry, I forgot was I was saying. It was about my heart though, right? Well, if you guys could help me, I don't mind giving you a hand with your undead paladin problem, so long as you help me look for my heart. I mean, I got this shovel and all, and I've been watching Jensen do his thing for awhile, and I think I know what I'm doing!" She gives the party an eager smile, showing off her set of rotting, brown teeth. Will the party accept her offer? McCreary pipes up from the steps leading up to the crypts door, still hard at work. "If you lot could elect a party leader at this time, it would be most appreciated. I think I've almost got this stupid door. Which rune was it again?"
  10. I don't know if this has been seen yet, but I snatched these from the Fans United for SatAM forums. http://www.sonicsatam.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/1391713599349.jpg The image is a bit too big to post, but we have official designs on the Sonic Boom silhouettes that were featured here a while ago. More images here. Thoughts? Honestly, they look pretty good! I'm not entirely sold on Sonic's scarf and Knuckle's overall design, as well as the bandages, well, everywhere, but Tails looks really cool with the tool belt and the goggles and I'm actually really surprised how good Amy looks! Reminds me of her Fleetway look, and is definitely a lot more mature looking. And look what I just found! This might actually be pretty good!
  11. I hope everyone reading 94 is thoroughly confused. It means that all is as it should be.
  12. "Very well then gentlemen, let's be on our way. The tomb's not to far from here." "Just beyond that set of-" "I know where I'm going Scary, thank you." Scary scoffs and crosses his arms. McCreary shakes his head and begins heading towards the direction of the tomb, the party in tow. The skeletal trio can still be heard jabbering away in the background. "Gah, I thought they'd never leave. They weren't like that last group. Rather rude." "Did you guys hear about the new device the Ji Pei are coming out with? It can reproduce and emit sound!" "Bah! Nothing as interesting as Captain Patricia getting those heroes back to finish that job in Strivvi..." The party and McCreary continue their trek through the cemetery. Silence deafens the area as the only sound the party hears is their own boots crunching in the snow, the occasional crow's call breaking the otherwise eerie atmosphere. The party gets their first glimpse of the tomb, it's entrance similar to a mausoleum, it's bricks old and deteriorating. Suddenly, a loud CLANG!!! erupts through the cemetery, followed by another! CLANG!!! "What the hell is that noise? Come on. Knowing my occupations it's one of two things. The undead, or kids." The party follows behind McCreary, who's surprisingly agile despite his weight and age, finally coming to the source of the noise. A woman dressed all in white continually smacks on what appears to be the entrance to the tomb's innards with a old, splintered shovel. Her hair is a dull brown, and her dress is tattered in multiple places. What's most peculiar is her skin: grey and rotting. The smell wasn't all that pleasant either. As they approach the old edifice, they get a chilling feeling as if they're being watched... "Open, you... y-you stupid door!" She smashes the shovel against the stone door again. CLANG!!! "Violet! Will you please stop smashing that shovel against the door! Please!" Violet turns around suddenly, backing away from the door. A look of surprise and worry spreads across her face as she sees the Heroica members behind him. "Oh, Father McCreary! What's going on? Who are the men with you?" "Violet, there's no need to worry. These men I've hired are from Heroica. They're here to help us with our undead paladin issue. I just want to know what in the name of the gods you're doing smashing a shovel against the entrance to this tomb!?" "Well, you see, these thugs came at me a few nights ago and stole my heart." McCreary double takes as the words hit his ears. He looks at the party with concern. "This is getting suspicious. Since I'm the only one who can open the tomb, why don't you four talk to Violet and see what you can get out of her. If memory serves me right, this tomb's door is rather confusing to get opened..." McCreary walks away from the group, still scratching his beard as he inspects the inscription on the tomb's door. Violet's attention turns to the party, her speech a bit stunted, but clear. "Do you gentlemen... mind helping me get my heart back?"
  13. Well I found it humorous! It's a new player, and we generally allow it to slip. I don't think you were fully aware of the amount of backstory when you first joined, and neither was I. (Despite lurking the site for several years and following the game for about a year before joining. ) Welcome as well, hoanganhbeo!
  14. Karie watches the rest of the group leave out of the classroom, leaving her and her grandfather alone with the student. Quietness filled the room. "I guess that means I'm in charge for now." "Well, that depends on your take of Fonzies and Cherls, or whatever they're called. I know a few we can pick up, but if not, it would be wise to stay here until the rest of the group returns. Do you know where any of them might be? It would be wise to look around for supplies." Karie looks around the room, trying to find anything of use, still speaking with the elven student. "Can you fend for yourself? Have you ever held, say, a dagger before?"
  15. "Hmph, well you know what they say when you assume, yeti?" "It make's an asss at out you and me." "I think he knows, Thomas." McCreary interrupts the two. "We'll most likely meet her at the tomb's entrance. It's just a few minutes away from here, so if you're all ready to leave, we can keep moving. Throlar, Althior?"
  16. "I believe we've been over this, Avalanche. The cemetery's haunted, and has been since the day it was established four hundred years ago, back when this city was nothing but a small fishing village. However, as you can see, these three have some semblance of intelligence." "You're telling me, yeti, we're the first undead you've ever met? Certainly you've quested with a few? If not, consider us honoured!" "But not that honoured, if you think skeletons drinking wine's foolish." He opens up a bottle of Akrone red and puts it to his mouth, taking a brief drink. "Pour some for me, will ya Thomas? I'm dry." "Not everyone buried here winds up coming out of their grave. It's strange the reasons for how and why, but the undead here are rather content with just strolling the grounds after dark and chatting with other undead here. It's the undead with no humanity left in them you need to watch out for, who run on animalistic instincts or are simply under someone's thrall, they're the ones you'll be dealing with, and the one's you need to look out for. None of the undead native to this cemetery are of that ilk, so don't worry about these three, Avalanche. At least, until this paladin issue..."
  17. Enjoying a well earned siesta.

  18. "Beats me, go ask her yourself, heroes." "It's seems we'll run into her eventually. We can get the full story off her when we get to the paladin crypt."
  19. "Well, they lack intelligence. There not like most of us here in the cemetery, who have the ability to speak, have culture, that sort of thing. They're like animals: reptilian brain, acting on instinct, that kind of thing. Typical of a necromancer's standard resurrection or a nasty tainting. Sort of like Thomas Jefferson over there!" "Hey!" "There can't be too many of them. There's a serious bad vibe coming from that paladin crypt, so not even us residents go near it as of late. Which makes Violet's actions rather strange. She just marched in the direction of the tomb, shovel held firmly in her hands. Gods, that girl's really coming around. She used to stutter and mumble her words, but it seems that she's actually getting out of that phase. It's common to see that with some of the undead in here, they lack motor skills, or they find it hard to speak. We've been around for over a hundred years, and she's been here for about three, so you can see how we're sort of happy for her." "She's cute, too."
  20. "Violet's one of the undead here. She's been dating Aldus, who rests a little ways from her, for quite some time." "She's been running about the past few days, saying she's lost her heart. Last we saw her was about an hour ago: she was coming back from the gravedigger's shack with a shovel in toe." "That drunk Jensen probably forgot to lock up his shack before he left. Again."
  21. "Then let's go to the Gallery, and place the individuals I listed earlier in it! We're wasting time! If need be, I'll stay here with Utulië or whatever her name is. I'd like one more person though, honestly. After that, we can meet back here and move along." Karie was getting a little frustrated. "They're parent's are probably worse to deal with. Trust me on this."
  22. OOC: Excellent! Everyone's here! Let's get moving! "It seems all of us are here, then. Alright, the four of you, follow me. I hope you braced for the cold." Father McCreary moves from behind his desk and leads the party out the side door, and into the cold. The cemetery seems peaceful, blanketed in white. Late afternoon turns into early evening, and as the party follows McCreary through the tombstones, they come across three curious figures chatting under a tree, it's branches bare. They stand around a tombstone, goblets in hand, wine bottles surrounding the grave. "...No, no! I heard the play went without a hitch!" "Right, Jerry! Stirlance's cursed play went without a hitch. I heard rats swarmed the theatre." "Stirlance is still a second rate playwright." "Thomas, you know my stance on this! Lets not get into this debate again! Well, gents, which bottle shall we open next, we have Acrone Red, Falana Wine, White Devil..." "I've heard that White Devil hasn't aged well..." "Oh, hush! Ah! Guests! Evening gentlemen! Care to join our little discussion?" "It's a bit early to be out and about, don't you think? I've heard you three chitter-chattering away most nights as I walk home, "Scary", but that's usually in another three hours." "Well, we're sorry if we're worried about the undead paladin issue! We've been cutting our get togethers short because of them!" "It's always something around here..." "Absolutely Thomas. If it's not grave robbers, vigilantes, or rampant, unwanted spooks, it's undead paladins!" "Or Violet looking for her heart." Thomas takes a swig out of the bottle he's holding. The other two finish their glasses, the liquid unsurprisingly running down their ribcage and trickling to the ground. "That was quite nice. Now then, which to open next..." "If there's anything you want to ask these clowns, feel free. They're more or less the cemetery's gossip hotspot, so they'd know what the other undead residents are up to, as well as other going ons." "Look, we're not clowns, we're sophisticated gentlemen." "At least some of us are." "And what's that's supposed to mean?!"
  23. Okay, 61's images are back...
