  1. Sorry guys, no update today. My throat feels like sandpaper's been ripping through it, and I've been in Toronto all day. You will be getting an update tomorrow though. Also, anyone know where K-Nut is? I really, really don't want to kick two players from a quest. It looks bad on me, and it looks bad on the player, and I don't see the point of continuing the quest if the majority of the starting players aren't here to finish it.

Out of nowhere a swarm of bats flock to him, blocking any attempt the necromancer makes to attack the vampire. The Count laughs at Althior mockingly behind his black scrim. Avalanche downs a remedy, taking another swing at the Shadow, only to miss yet again. Throlar, looking pale, continues to fight, but it's clear something is wrong with him. Sweat rolls down his face and rims grow under his eyes. Violet, still cowering, manages to smack the occupied guard in the back of the head, dealing minor damage. Things seemed to be going south.... OOC: Throlar will remain in the party order for the remainder of the battle, just so I don't screw up the battle order entirely. He will not however receive the experience from it, since he technically didn't participate in it. As well, I need an action for Violet and Throlar.
  6. I think a D2C Bluecoat Port could be feasible, and fit our requirements. Have a crane, a tavern, a small boat, maybe a garrison for the troops, and a few villagers, cargo and animals. I sort of don't want this to be the "Pirate Market Village" if you get where I'm going, I'd like it to stand on it's own merits. Sort of like the Imperial Trading Post, but with Bluecoats and more current design techniques.
  7. Well in that case, the 09 line was also in the essence of the 89-93 line. And I never said the undead needed a ship. It's just a thought, really. This is a collaborative effort, so If we're going to pitch this to Lego, you've got to have the primary target audience in mind: kids. And if my four year old brother's anything to go by, they like action, supernatural stuff, and getting every minifigure. I think that would be fun too! Old ruins, Islander villages, pirates over spits. The question is, how do you sell it? Do you give the pirates a smaller ship to make way for a larger temple, or do we make a larger ship with the islanders coming up on their canoes? Also, will it be politically correct enough to sell? The views of what's okay and what's not has changed since the original islander sets came out, and I wonder if Lego would get flack for making a theme about natives and pirates running amuck.

  9. Well, honestly, I think kids would be more interested in enemies akin to Ninjago or Chima: weird, supernatural enemies. Soldiers and Armada would be good for us older fans, but in terms of a new sub-theme, I think a supernatural edge would be both interesting for kids, and different for adults. An undead skeleton crew I think would be the most interesting, with both crews chasing after some lost treasure. Each set could include a piece of the map that leads to the lost treasure or something, kind of like the Atlantis and Monster Fighters themes. There could be some Imperials, but I think three factions is a bit much. I could help with writing and building smaller sets. I'm no master MOCer, but I can build some stuff, and my writing's considered pretty good to boot. Oh, cool! The pirate emoticons show up first on this part of the forum! I didn't know that!

  12. Eh, Doctor Who's overrated. I've seen some Dr. Who, and while it's good, it's not something I'm going to catch up on. Gargoyles is bad enough with a 52 episode second season, but with at least 200+ episodes for the main "reboot" or whatever you guys call it, my time is better spent elsewhere, pun intended. I may watch some of the twelfth, but that's if I'm feeling up to it. "Whoovian, Whoovian, Tardis. Am I doing it?" Oh, right, Heroica, ahem, so, yeah. How many Dr. Who references have you made? Avalanche goes into an all out frenzy on two of the shadowy figures, managing to whack one, but is jumped by another as it leaves seering pains across his arm as it slashes at him. Throlar, looking a bit off, manages to hold back the remaining Shadow. Violet doesn't even get a chance to attack before von Zarovitch's remaining guard nearly takes her head off. She slinks to the back, trembling in fear. "GAH! ZE LIGHT! IT BURNS!!!"
