May be so, but look at the piece count! 927! It's small, but the number of pieces seem to make it a really solid, tight, high-quality set. Given $100 to spend, would you buy this or the Twilight? To me, quality beats size every time.

Good job, Redhead1982. The houses look very sweet. On my first look, I thought they were on the same scale as TLG's mini modulars, but I looked closer and saw they're actually much bigger than that. Well done, and build more of these!

Looks good, Drogan. Your tree is very nice to look at, and I like the stalactite you built upside-down.

The lineup looks marvelous (Macca, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, etc.). I wish I could go, because I certainly have the time but it's a long way from me. Have a great time there!

It's like English class, except you can learn about tropes of things you are interested in, such as rock music or TV shows. Great way to waste time.

Hello Franquin! It's great that you are getting interested in LEGO just at the time your so might be, too. I hope you have fun building things with him. Enjoy yourself here on Eurobricks!

This is by far the best TLG could have done in 2000, considering what the parts selection was like and that curved slopes weren't a thing. I rather like the blocky aesthetic of the early Star Wars sets, and I think this X-wing is fantastic. It doesn't matter that the new one might be better.

My defense that time was that you asked me about Captain Nemo before you told me you were in league with the investigator. I managed to get lots of stuff not to stick to me until the very end, but I was afraid you'd see through that because I made it clear I had thought you were the investigator the whole time. I thought I was affecting the investigation target and I told my scum buddies all about what happened in PM with you. We were incredibly lucky night killing Bob as early as we did. Until blocks started coming through, I thought we were close to the endgame. That's why I started oozing scum (or that's what I thought) on Day Four or so. Also, LegoDad, we blocked you for the first three nights because I was the only scum who believed your vanilla claim.

I'm basically guilty as charged on everything said against me in-thread, including being the mole. But Tamamono did in fact have a strategy going related to me and the doctor. Shadows and Darkdragon, I forgot to mention that the comics were fantastic, but everyone seems to have said that already. Dragonator playing trains was one of the best bits!

Welcome to Eurobricks, ch_ris127! I hope you're having fun with the brickfilming; I know it gets frustrating at times. Have a good time here, and make sure you check out the Brick Flicks & Comics subforum.

Is MOCpages ready to grow up?
jimmynick replied to xboxtravis7992's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Flickr isn't moderated in the same way MOCpages is, which engenders trolling. Flickr is a great way to host pictures and get feedback. You can get as into the community there as you like. But if you only want to use a website to host pictures, Brickshelf is probably the way to go. It's a shame that it's difficult to use MOCpages (speed...) because there are so many good creations there. But with regards to Sharpie clones and the like, people who do that probably aren't old enough to agree to Flickr's T&Cs. I mean, I used to decorate clones like that and I took pictures, but I didn't post them to the internet like so many people seem to do these days. But young trolls who Sharpie clones and are only interested in your BrickArms prototypes are one of the reasons there's a maturity limit on Eurobricks. But wherever you go, you can ignore the people you aren't interested in. -
Frisco Fe! The farm set looks really cool as well, but it's nothing an enterprising person could build himself.

If all you think LEGO is good for is the sets, perhaps you're doing something wrong. I'm going to quote Kristel's signature here: Yes, prices are one of the reasons I hardly ever buy LEGO these days, but I can still do a lot with the parts I have (if only I spent more time building!) and part of what makes me enjoy LEGO is that it's a simple medium that you can be very creative with. It's a toy, it's sculptural, you can do all kinds of things with it. You can be creative with how you play with things you build, if you like. That's what LEGO want the kids to do, and that's why we have a new Sith Infiltrator and Republic Gunship every few years. So new generations of children can play with creativity-promoting toys and reenact scenes from their favourite films. For me, LEGO is not primarily about interacting with the company, or building their sets and calling it a day. It's about interacting with the product the company makes, and with communities such as Eurobricks of people who also interact with LEGO bricks.

Very nice, lisqr! It looks like a grown-up version of those Homemaker sets from the 70s. The chairs and the sink area, especially, are very nice. And the cupboard doors look great, too.

I'm truly town, and I voted for you yesterday because you were the other lynch candidate and I'm sure you're scum. And no, Cameron did not reveal that I was the doctor to anyone else. Especially not Claire, since I contacted Cameron shortly after the screw-up with Simone. Claire, would you please do me the justice of explaining why you think I'm not the doctor?

Fantastic, just as always. That's a great domed roof you made; very impressive!
