So I finally got around to organizing my loose bricks (By color, in bins) and now that everything is at my fingertips, I of course would like to mess it all up and build something cool. The problem is, I don't build much. I've made some small, decent things, but I've never really made a "serious" MOC. So what should I do? Do I draw up a concept of some sort? Where do I begin?

So I'm (sort of) working on a project, and since I wasn't exactly around for some of these space themes, I figured I'd mine some knowledge here. This is a slightly different type of project, and right now I'm just tossing ideas around. I make brickfilms. I have done so for almost nine years now. One film I've been planning on making for a while is Ice Planet 2002. Potentially, this one could connect with other future Lego space films. So far what I have is somehow, the Ice Planet characters find themselves stranded and alone on Krysto, an ocean planet so cold, the oceans are solid ice. Among various incidents and peril the characters are put in, they launch satellites, setting out beacons in hopes of rescue. Now, for the finale, I will have one of the beacons intercepted, in the middle of a massive space battle. Now, what I'm having trouble deciding is should the battle be between Spyrius and Unitron, or Space Police II and Blacktron II?

Wow, this is incredible. Uncanny timing too, just as I was thinking of re-reading the books! This might push me to do it.

Argh, this be making me confused! I never finished collecting the last pirate series, and I've slowly been trying to over Bricklink, but then the series gets rereleased, wondering if I should abandon collecting the 2009(?) series and just pick up this or what?

I believe it was.Anyway I really do like this, difficult to pull off an effective level of detail for a prison cell which is essentially an empty room.

Hello fellow members of Eurobricks, I do not believe I have ever introduced myself in the six years or so I have been on this forum. This is because I joined when I was maybe twelve years old, fully knowing this was a site for adult Lego fans. However, I tried to keep a low profile, knowing I blatantly went against the rules for creating an account. As of yesterday, I turned eighteen, and I am not legally an adult in the US. I understand I broke those rules six years ago, and that now the admins have full reason to remove me from these forums. I just figured now I ought to be honest, instead of continuing the deception. I thank you all for reading.

I usually ignore MOC posts, just because I browse the site for news, but I must say this is a work of art. The lava is a twist to the usual Classic Space theme, and each structure gives the impression there is almost an entire city in that mountain, which, I suppose there is. How anyone has your talent is beyond me. This is truly mind boggling.

Just think, In 2005 we were lucky to get the one "Kashyyyk Trooper" and now we have FIVE, including Gree! I honestly never saw this coming this year.

It seems to resemble a DC-15s. Also it doesn't look like it was enlarged for detail, just enlarged so it can hold the stud and have the firing feature.

No they actually look quite accurate; proportions are a bit off giving them a cartoony look but they do have pretty accurate detailing.

So I just saw a picture of the blasters being used in the Kashyyyk troopers pack. Veeeeeeery interesting. They aren't megaphones. They are a completely new type that somehow launches the stud on the end.

Exactly. There is no way to tell what got rejected easily and what didn't. Something terrible that got 10,000 votes and something amazing that got 10,000 votes are put in the same category as rejected with no (given) reason as to why.

Also I made a Cuusoo account specifically for Portal and Space Troopers. If ideas like that get rejected so easily, I'm not sure If I feel very encouraged to vote on a Cuusoo project again.

Lego, I'm not even angry. I'm being so sincere right now. Even though you broke my heart and killed me. No but seriously, Portal could have been a way to get a leg up on the competitors who must not be named, not to mention the incredible source material. Also Space Troopers would have been amazing. Much better than the overly fruity Galaxy Squad. Another thing, I find the mech to be a great MOC, but not much else. it looks fragile and overly complex. The official Lego version will certainly not be as impressive.

As I said, from another angle in a preliminary picture which I totally haven't seen it looks much better.

I wouldn't say the visor is too small, while it is smaller than it would be to be 1:1 scale, it seems to fit well. I guess the only thing that bothers me is it is too far forward. I'd like it set back in the helmet more. Either way, it still looks pretty accurate to me. Also, I've totally not seen a picture that is totally preliminary that shows it from a better angle. The part we're seeing seems to be it's worst side.

To be honest I don't get all the hate for the helmet. I think it looks great (other than the overall size). Besides, it was always a goofy shape. As you can see, the mouthpiece is angled up. Compare it to this: The Imperial scout has the mouthpiece pointed down, while the 41st trooper has it angled up.

I've noticed that in the past three or four years, I have been collecting less and less Lego. I feel pain whenever money leaves my wallet, like I'm wasting my money buying Lego. I don't really feel inspired to build either. This really disappoints me because I've missed out on much of the past few waves of Star Wars, as well as Pharaoh's Quest among many others. Is this a Dark Age? If so, how long does it last? How do I get out of it? How do I catch up on what I missed?

Hello, I never really introduced myself in the five years I've been on this forum, and I've decided my 100th post would be a nice way to make up for this. I don't often post on forums of any kind, which is why I have only made 100 posts in half a decade. I am from the US, and I debated to myself wether I should join a European Lego website, despite not being from Europe. I did, however visit EB almost daily long before I had an account here. The friendly community is definitely what attracted me here, as well as the news itself. For example, I remember when I was a kid, I would get a new lego catalogue every two months. The new sets would shock me. Now I can not only discover these new sets, but follow them during production. -Lyle

They make playsets, as already mentioned. Very high quality ones too. They often require assembly, but not like Lego, they aren't really meant to be taken apart.
