  1. I have wondered this since I was a kid. Their sets seem to be discontinued so often. An original theme will disappear in a maximum of three years, let alone the sets themselves from different waves. A similar European company of my childhood kept some of their toys around for around a decade. It provided a great opportunity to collect them. It is especially difficult for someone trying to make ends meet, because I feel the constant change in the product lineup is just TLG looking at customers as dollar signs, not people. Anyone know why this is?
  2. This reminds me of an old Classic Space figure I have. He is a blue astronaut, and It wasn't until I looked a lot at the Lego Community that I realized I am very lucky, because the emblem on his torso is a perfect gold, and there isn't a single scratch, even under a magnifying glass!
  3. I live in the US, and where I live they don't sell ANY Collectible Minifigures.
  4. Wow! These are great molds! They pack detail, while retaining that cartoonish look that I love about most official Lego accessories. However, I am waiting to place my next order when tactical vests are restocked, so I might get these by the time I'm 72 or so.
  5. This is perfect.
  6. What piece would be a good stand-in for this? Particularly with the squarish corners.
  7. Let me start off by saying I am a partial purist. I will buy custom parts like Brickarms and Brickforge, but I won't buy from places that don't look lego-styled pieces. For example, I like Brickarms because if TLG decided to begin making specific model firearm pieces, they would probably look like BA products. I also don't like using clone brands of any kind, like COBI or, obviously, Mega Bloks. Another reason I like BA and BF products is because they are designed specifically for Lego. What do you people think of SI-DAN for somebody like me?
  8. Also, I'm undoubtedly going against the grain, but I actually LOVED the late 90s to early 00s. There may have been <insert that tiresome argument> parts, but just think of all the bumpers, wheel wells, and all the other pieces we've been given. I also think it was a point where ego was at a great point for originality, for example, many toy companies have done "pirate" lines before, but Rock Raiders was not only an original idea, but had it's own original BACKSTORY as well. Maybe I just have poor taste...
  9. My opinion will most certainly be despised. I think the Golden age was 1980-2008. okay, 28 years is a bit long, but I actually feel lego has been losing it's originality recently. Call me crazy, but I only like a few licensed themes, and the recent original themes seem kind of disappointing. I don't know, maybe it's the kids that I always see going OmG I H4Z ShRP1E CUSTUM CLOWNE TROOPURZ.
  10. Well I first signed up in 1999, and all my catalogs and magazines up until 2002 were thrown out. I like the magazines and catalogs because of the art and photography.
  11. Does anyone know of a website with scans of Lego Mania Magazines and Shop at Home Catalogs? Particularly 1999-2002? If nobody knows, does anyone have scans/the ability to scan them? It would be much appreciated.
  12. Are Frank Rock's legs the new olive green color?
  13. May I also request something simple, a cross like on the Toy Story medic figure's helmet. May I also request something simple, a cross like on the Toy Story medic figure's helmet.
  14. Not to be a bother, but could the stripes be a little more orange than pink? :P
  15. I'd like to request back and front decals for Res-q torsos in green, olive green, and tan.
  16. Between these two: 2000 MF 2003 MF Which one should I take apart? I recently got the 2000 MF for parts, but I was struck by it's entertaining features and stability. I got the 2003 MF a little after it came out. It wasn't very stable, so some parts are glued. It still, however, looks much better, IMO, than the '00 one. I want to take one apart to make military ships.
  17. I am referring to this. I need it in a light gray to replace them on this.
  18. 1. AAT's secondary blasters. 2. CATD blasters 3. Avengers Loki's Cosmic Cube Escape. The missiles directly hit the wheel well.
  19. I still prefer the Wonderbolts
  20. Hello everyone, I really hate to bother you all on a subject such as this, particularly in these tough times. My family has recently fallen in massive debt, and my sister is on her way to college. The pure stress of this is beginning to brutally rip my family apart. I would like some help. I don't know what, but if someone could just please donate a dollar, or even reply saying you support us, it would be a great help. I hope asking for some help isn't too awkward or in violation of this forum's rules. Thank you everyone -Lyle
  21. Today, the absolute unthinkable happened. A Lego figure's hand broke off! The peg part is still stuck inside the arm, and nothing's out of the arm to grip. How would I pull the peg out to replace the hand?
  22. I honestly didn't think there was going to be only 3 figs. There have been doubles before! My opinions are: 7913- Yay! ARF Trooper, bomb squad trooper is okay, but i'd prefer him not in a BP. 7914- While Mandalorians are great, I'm probably going to pass. While I'm sure they'll be great figures, It will be like the Assassin Droids, who wants an army of them? 7915- Might pass. It was only seen briefly in ROTS and I don't think TFU is that accurate to SW, so... 7929- YES!!! Will buy. As someone said earlier, it has been far too long for EP I sets. I enjoyed the prequels. 7930- Bounty Hunters, I feel, are being overused. Especially for something about Droids and Clones kicking the tar out of each other. 7931- ???
