Future of SW Contest (small category): A moment in Coruscant
Darth Wayne replied to naugem's topic in Watto's Junkyard
I think you deserve a lot of credit for this one... i LOVE your first picture, the background really conveys what Coruscant would look like! Maybe with an orange background or some kind of sunset (but that's hard to get right in Lego) this would have been even more perfect, but either way, great great job!! -

Nice ship! Kinda reminds me of Star Trek's Defiant a little ;) -
Does anyone know how to look for those whole boxes of CMF's of 60 figs per box? All it shows me are either individual figs or superlots of 16 hmm

I'm beginning to have some trouble organising my sets and pieces these days. For instance, what do you guys do with the sets you get as a "parts pack" but at the same time as a display piece? Say you no longer display it but want to keep the pieces together for collector reasons and in case you want to rebuild it later? I'm simply having trouble with the idea of integrating these set pieces into my collective brick drawer, i guess the collector and the MOC builder clash within me and i don't know of any practical solution :( Sure you could always try and look for all the pieces again later if you want to rebuild a set some day but imagine the HASSLE if it's either a huge set or if it's multiple sets we're talking about? So if i keep them separate, i can't use them for MOCs :( The solution would be to buy each set twice, once for collection and display purposes and once to integrate the pieces into my MOC drawer collective lol but my wallet would cry!

Nice... love the slightly off tilt posing of the factory on the edge of the rock and that smoke effect as well :)

So Lego puts their focus on ROTS next year then? As an OT only fan, i guess i'll have 2 quiet years of Lego SW ahead of me then ;)

This thing seems like a great value pack and i'm not even that interested in Ninjago! -
Thanks, checked it out some more and i ended up getting 2516 (Outpost) and 2255 (Sensei Wu) that way it's cheaper and i get both as well!

Need some advice here: I really only want Cole (regular black Ninja outfit) and Sensei Wu! How can i best combine packs or sets to get these 2 without spending a lot of money? Do they both come in one set?

Doesn't the GLITD feature only last for a limited time anyways then wears off? -
This one grows on you... At first i was like "meh too simple/basic" Now, after looking at it more, i REALLY like it, it has a whimsical simplicity to it that cannot be explained, but with a little imagination i can almost smell the grass in this brave new world :)

So the ship is actually held up/fixed in the air by that orange beam piece then? So it is simultaneously attacking with the beam and giving the illusion of flight? That good sir... is ingenious! Love this, stunned by the buildings as well, great work!

I like it... i especially love the FLOOR! Might be a small detail but i love the multicolored tiles, really shows the crazy lab aspect of this MOC :)) looks cutesy and homey in there...

So basically, i just got back into the hobby after a 25 year hiatus or so ;) Like many others, i have been buying sets left and right, but the problem i am facing now is that i seem to be as much of a collector of sets that likes to display them as someone that is trying to get into MOCing and enjoys creating things! To top it all off i have a big box full of OLD Lego (think 30 years old) that i washed recently but that is still pretty scratched for some pieces. - How in the world am i gonna SORT all of this? The dilemma i am facing is this: - Do i use pieces from my newly bought sets for MOCing and MIX them with my old Lego pieces or do i keep those separate and if yes what i am gonna do with the OLD lego? - If i DO use the new Lego from the new sets for MOC, how am i gonna find the pieces later to reassemble my sets? I mean sure it works but what a pain! As you can see, i am pretty confused, how would you guys that are in a similar situation sort this out? Grateful for ANY advice regarding sorting :)

Thinking of getting VW Camper myself (at least one), how long do you guys think it will be available for?

Love it... that rocky pathway up from the docks.... the water and how it clashes on the rocks, the greenery and of course the lighthouse itself. Superb work!

agreed, they should come up with something iconic of their own and if they can't well that's just tough luck!
