Bricklinking 10210 The Imperial Flagship?
Sigolf Brimabane replied to Colossus's topic in LEGO Pirates
Yeah. I bricklinked it early this year (with some colour substitutions). I enjoyed it for a while, but now I think it looks almost a bit crude. Especially the stern. I don't have it assembled. It lacks the finesse and nice shape of the Black Seas Barracuda (which I have assembled). Still, wish I had gotten it when it was new. I came out of my dark age in late 2012 with the LotR stuff, although I had bought a few of the Kingdoms sets. -
Perfectly balanced. Nice details. Beautiful overall. :)

Hello! :) I felt like building with my lego tonight, and I made an updated Black Falcon's Fortress. I made it in real bricks, but I can't take photos now (but might update with new photos some day soon!). So I made an LDD copy (with only some different parts usage). The drawbridge is operated with technic gears and stuff IRL, so by turning the reddish brown thing on top of the portculis, the drawbridge can be closed. It's at 554 bricks, sans figures. So would be possible for TLG to release. Maybe I should make a Lego Ideas petition... Anyways, tell me what you think!

6085 :) I have collected all the pieces for 6086 as well, only missing instructions and the white wing plumes. I did get the white dragon plume for € 3.5, but the small ones are at least € 5 each. :/ I have also replaced the broken parts from my brother's and my Royal Knight's Castle. Our first castle set when we were kids. Only missing the lion cape (we actually still have it, but the part that goes around the neck is broken...) and instructions. Luckily instructions are available as PDF. :)

I got an almost complete Black Monarch's Castle with instruction for 315 SEK (about € 35) sans shipping cost. It arrived today. It's missing one of the double-convex inverted slopes, one shield and six figures (3 with blue scale-mail and 3 with red scale-mail). Most of the pieces are very scratched, but the two horse-bardings are in great condition. I also won an auction with figures and pieces from Forestmen's River Fortress, Black Falcon's Fortress, Twin-Arm Launcher, Dungeon Hunters, King's Oarsmen; plus some Fabuland and Town stuff. None of it is complete but I think most of the important pieces are in there. Hopefully the Black Falcon flag has unbroken clips! Edit: Most of the instructions are included as well.

I think the moderators are doing a great job to keep this place clean and tidy. I've been to other forums before and they've all gone down the drain. I used to be a member of a Pokémon forum which degenerated into a meme forum or a kind of Pokémon 4chan if you will. Some members were being bullied and eventually left, and the bad guys never got banned. This place is really professional. Thanks to both mods and members for doing a good job here. :)

I think the poll was really hard to understand. I would have liked to see Royal Knights, Black Knights etc. Instead of the way it is done now. Anyways, I actually always liked the Royal Knights because of nostalgia. My brother and I called the king Arthur, the red knight Richard the Lionheart and the other unique knight Prince Valiant. We also had a second king who was Prince John. Good times. I have just ordered pieces for the Dungeon Master's/Black Knight's Castle. And in hindsight I must say that the Black Knights and Black Falcons are the best ones. Although I liked the Fright Knights when I was a kid.

Gorgeous rocks :) Well done considering you don't have any pirates sets. The figures look good.

Thanks, glad you like it :) Hehe, I used around 1,000 light bluish grey 1 x 3 bricks, among all the rest... I don't know how many bricks I used, maybe I'll count them whenever I take it apart. I like both your sets. The latest pirate wave really lacks those small impulse sets like Soldier's Arsenal. However I don't think Lego would include a big flag and all those accessories in such a small set, hehe. Pirates Battle Island is an interesting idea. Maybe one could add some extra rules to the chess game with traps? I dunno. It looks like it might be a bit difficult to play from the pirate side of it. Also: EXTRA, EXTRA! I updated with another picture: the Cannibal Chef!

Thank you so much for the comments, and criticism. :) I might try to update the pictures later on if I manage to get sharper ones. I already have an idea how I could change the whole setting in a more "Out for Blood"-y way. All entries are considered WIPs until the 23rd, right? We'll see if I make it. I have a deadline to meet at the 21st with an exam paper for university. So I will have two whole days if I want to make a change here. ^^ I am very satisfied with the build as a whole. Some people would want fancier water (the waves on there aren't good at all really), but I like the good ol' blue baseplate. The transition from water to sand to rock to vegetation to building works smoothly, I think. The fort has an interior (one room misses furniture still though. Might get a shot of the rooms and stuff, it's even got a dungeon at the very base, and a kitchen!).
