Just the parts from one set plus parts from my collection. I tried to use parts that kept the same look & feel as the original.

As soon as I saw the new hospital I knew I wanted it and I also knew I wanted to make it modular to fit in with my modular town. There is still some landscaping to finish off at the front but the building now has complete walls all round and a full roof and fits really nicely next to a modular building. I was particularly pleased that the floor levels are such a good match (I haven’t changed the levels at all). I got this yesterday after spending £79.99 Didn’t know about it and wasn’t expecting it so a nice surprise. Nice little set with nice selection of little pieces and some cute features (like the dragon) I have used it to add a small LEGO dept to my Grand Emporium and have put the VIP sign on my desk

Err.. all of them...? I agree with the OP that it would be nice if the wings were separate but I think this would bring other problems to the design of the plane as the wings would need very little movement to lever themselves out of the fuselage.

Just as a point of note, buses aren't actually allowed on the roads in front of Buckingham Palace. So, some very minor artistic license there. Cheers Rog

I have always loved the airline pilot. Very classy and hasn't dated. Cheers Rog

I love this scale of LEGO aircraft. The new ones have too many large pieces and the finished aircraft are too big. They are more playable but the space they take up plus the size of any runways or aircraft buildings is prohibitive. And that's before I start on the nostlgia element... Cheers Rog

What was your first major City/Town building?

I'm quite happy this thread has been brought back to life. It's a great nostalgic read! What should new members do if they want to contribute to or discuss an old thread? They weren't here when it was started and starting a new thread to add their input seems illogical? Cheers Rog -
"Oh yaah" I was just about to say exactly the same! Great little MOC... Cheers Rog

Some really neat features - I most like the use of the wheel arch as the fin on the boot. I'm not sure what translator tool you are using or what language you are translating from but it's not done a very good job I'm afraid... Cheers Rog

I use several Creator houses in my town. The town centre is made up of modular with a couple of MOCs. The suburb is mostly Creator houses. There's slight scale issues with some of them but if you don't put them directly side by side then it's OK. Cheers Rog

Very blue and very modern looking - I like it. Very neat use of chairs for the ends of the containers outside. However, I hate to be the one to point out the phallic sign on the front of the building... Cheers Rog

Living in a country where the police don't carry guns it works out as realistic for me... I for one wouldn't like to see LEGO bring more weapons, etc into the City theme. The innocence and simplicity of life in LEGO City is a nice escape from real life. There are enough weapons available in LEGO should anyone want their LEGO City citizens to "tool up". Cheers Rog

Loving the use of the train track pins as the poles for the doors. I always knew there'd eventually be a use for those! Really like the bus and the multiple doors although not sure about the yellow wheels. Nice to see it is six wide too. I like the scale of six wide as it fits nicely with buildings and road plates. Cheers Rog

Hi Glad you like the fire HQ, The green boat is a patrol boat and there are photos here - http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=77555 Unlike the fire HQ, the patrol boat is still alive and well! Cheers Rog

Thanks for the feedback guys! I know the Simpsons house is big but I really like it. Scale is defo an issue though! I might try and rebuild as a smaller version... The square is in the corner because there's a corner missing off the table so it can't take any weight! :-) Cheers Rog

HI all It's been a while since I shared my town developments on here. Very much a WIP and currently un-named but I thought I'd let you all see how the town is coming along. First an overall view with the CBD on the left, the police station and medical centre at the back and the residential area on the right. Next a closer shot of the CBD which is mainly made up of modulars although there is also a bus station and a square (just about visible between the pet shop and the cinema): A view along the main street. You can see the latest modular and also part of the castle. There is also a "redevelopment plot" - or more correctly where I've dumped some spare parts for now - in front of the bus station: This is a better view on the residential area: There are some local shops/eateries at the end of the residential area: And lastly, the police station and medical centre: C&C and suggestions for future development of course very welcome... Cheers Rog
