There is also talk about minimizing the X-Men's role in the 616. Unlike the Fantastic Four, the titles would still continue but they will not be cross promoted in other titles.

Agreed. I am waiting for the last Hobbit wave to see if they announce another Lord of the Rings wave. If they don't announce a new wave there, I don't think it will happen. Until we just have to be patient. And I know that is really hard for all of us.... including me.

1: Forestman 2: Witch (if I had the Spartan, perhaps it would have come on top) 3. Elf 4. Viking (Musketeer might have won if I got it) 5. Royal Guard 6. Roman Soldier (though there was a lot of good ones in this series) 7. Viking Woman or Evil Knight 8. Lederhosen GUy 9. Fortune Teller 10. Constable 11. Revolutionary Soldier (but there were a lot of good ones in this series) LEGO Movie: Lincoln Simpsons: None 12. Battle Goddess Lo-Block, welcome, and great thread idea. We seem to have similar tastes in minifigs. I really like all your choices except the Alien Villainess. The space minifigs leave me cold.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 12 Rumours and Discussion
Blakstone replied to Rufus's topic in Special LEGO Themes
The Huns really need a new helmet but I think they will also come with the smaller bow we already have. They were famous for the power their smaller bows delivered and their precision firing on horseback. I see them are the true army builders from this set.- 1,109 replies

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 12 Rumours and Discussion
Blakstone replied to Rufus's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Battle Goddess is almost perfect. I love her but I have always felt a special connection to Athena. The only thing I would do different would be to have the Medusa head printed on the shield. The Pegasus print is not true to the myth. But I think kids would understand it better. I would probably get multiples for the shield and helmet pieces. I also need to keep one together. My profile pic is a purist custom of Athena. Swashbuckler is also very good. I want at least one to keep intact. If it was not for the price increase I would buy as many as I find for the parts. I agree that the wizard is too stereotypical for my taste. Still I want at least one. I might get a second one if I like the staff. I will use the Gamer Guy as a Scott Pilgrim purist custom for sure. I hope to skip the Space Miner and the Dino Hunter. It seems that many like it but they would not fit with my historic, Lord of the Rings, fantasy, town, and superhero focus. I will want to see the jester, princess, and Hun warrior.- 1,109 replies

I like the swashbuckler but I am undecided on the wizard. I think they will use the new wizard hat mild for the princess as well.- 1,109 replies

And it is a question of how much use would they get out of the mold and do they build that mold to last. The molds for the different dwarf hair probably was on the lower end and they won't be used again. LEGO Lord of the Rings introduced a new horse hold. The prior horse mold could not rear up on his hind legs. But they have reused it for Winter Village, Lone Ranger, and Castle already. So the cost of the new mold gets spread over a lot of lines. Some lines budget differently. For example, Superheros often don't get leg printing because they don't budget for it. The City sets this year just started reusing the police officer cap from the Minifigure line. Before that, they were all wearing ball caps. Leia in the Ewok Villiage is using a hair mold introduced in Minifig line but designed with her in mind. I said in the LotR thread that the Orthanc did not have a budget for any new molds. That is why we got a smaller Sauramon set to cover his mold and the Black Gate to include the eagle. So LEGO looks to reuse the new molds whenever possible. It was not surprising that they used the warg mold twice but I appreciate that. I would rather have a elf for the elves mounts than see them again. I suspect they could find a way to do that and reuse most of that mold for Winter Village stuff.

Kev, more wargs would not take place of new molds; however, i am good. If I want more, I will buy the Mirkwood Elf army again.

I think that purple suit is when he is infiltrating a disco and is only meant as a joke. However, the suit on the far right has the new Batman mask. Isn't that the space suit from the game trailer? This is a good comparison between the two different styles of masks.

I appreciate the research. Makes sense as I really doubt a LotR wave 3 would only bring two new minifigs.
-
It certainly looks like it, but she is grouped with the LotR characters. Interestingly enough the orc two above and one to the right looks like the Orc General from The Return of the King. Can anyone make out the set numbers on these two?

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 12 Rumours and Discussion
Blakstone replied to Rufus's topic in Special LEGO Themes
What makes these CMF so special is the new molds or at least molds in new colors. A 1x1 clear plate to represent a glass slipper would be disappointing if that was the accessory. Going back to those sketches, I would rather have the full ball gown that has the hoops inside which makes it wider than a regular minifigure. What is more fairie tale princess than a big ball gown. We would benefit from having a variation in dress styles and a new mold might have a stronger connection between the dress and the body. If you place the tarot reader on a tile and then remove her, she breaks in half and the dress remains on the tile. We know that does not have to happen as the regular legs, the mermaid tail, and the Medusa body all have bigger studs to connect to the body and they don't have the issue.- 1,109 replies

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Blakstone replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
It is pretty common to see a pharmacy / dinner in the multi story downstyle. You could even have office / residential above them. Each business could be a 16 wide building with an interior door connecting them. I am more interested in the architectural style of the outside than the buildings function though. I would love a Gothic Revival style complete with gargoyles on it. -

Looking at some other sites, I hope that the princess is based on one of Alexandre Boundon's designs. The pink Marie Antoinette looks good though she is more famous for being queen. There is also a very cool blue one was a great head covering.- 1,109 replies

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 12 Rumours and Discussion
Blakstone replied to Rufus's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Regardless of the gender of the jester, I hope he or she looks less cartoonish. Despite my focus on history and fantasy in my collection, I have skipped the Castle Jester and Wizard. I will continue to do so unless they are more detailed and fit better with the worlds I am trying to build. I expect they will since the Collectible Minifigures line has always impressed me. LEGO likes to pay for new molds in this line and introduce them to their existing lines later. The most recent example I noticed is that the new Winter Village uses the holiday elf mold several times. I hope this means that we get an upgraded wizard hat mold that will then go back into the Castle line. Perhaps this one will have hair attached to the hat. Meanwhile on Brickset: When another poster scolded him for breaking the NDA on the Beta of the game, he said that he saw it in a video clip on Youtube.- 1,109 replies

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 12 Rumours and Discussion

Transparency for Effect, I don't believe that this characters are based off the MMO, but they will be added it to like all series going forward. We recently had a warrior woman which seemed to be an Amazonian from Greek myth (Series 10), so I think the battle goddess will be more than that. While I favor Athena, I could get behind a Valkyrie as well even if they are not quite goddesses.- 1,109 replies

Yooha, great idea. I missed the Musketeer so the swashbuckler would be a good time to bring back the hat mold in a new color. Dark brown would be great.- 1,109 replies

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 12 Rumours and Discussion
Blakstone replied to Rufus's topic in Special LEGO Themes
For the wizard, I would like to see hair attached to the regular pointy hat. I saw some LEGO Lord of the Rings designs for Gandalf like that and think this would be a perfect opportunity to get that style of hat. Of course, I understand the sentiment that we have enough gray wizards to last for a long time. I hope the battle goddess is Athena or strongly based on her. My profile pic is my attempt to do a purist custom of her. I image LEGO could do a shield with Medusa's head printed on it and still keep it generic enough. TLG likes to give the figures a generic name even though it is obvious who it is.- 1,109 replies

Exactly. I would skip the space miner and the piggy guy most likely but those history and fantasy minifigs some good. Since I started doing modulars, I can really use some more detailed City folks too.- 1,109 replies

I picked u the Chima board game for $12.99 US. I meant it here since a bought it for the lion head brick which is perfect for castles.
-
It does. As I watched the rest of Just2Good's video, he makes a Ghost Rider MOC using a skull under the flames and he even suggested the Human Torch as well. Adding YouTube link:

Each individual build was great, but when you consider all of them put together, it is incredible. I hope your Hadrian's Wall series makes it to the Front Page.
