Although the Castle line is resting both this year and next, there is at least some nice CMF to help build out the characters. Series 13 will have a completely new king for example. Series 12 has a princess with a new hat mold as well as wizard and jester.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 13 Rumours and Discussion
Blakstone replied to just2good's topic in Special LEGO Themes
It is not watermarked confidental. It is just watermarked for the site that scooped the image. I don't think it is prelinary. At this point, these are in a normal production run. That said, it is not a very good image and it is hard to make out all the details. But it is fun to discuss it. -

Others think that is the Alien Trooper which makes sense with the squid like jowls. I don't think this pic as the goblin at all. -

S12 never made it into TRU on the northside of OKC. They appear to be waiting for The Simpsons CMF to sell out. They may be waiting for a long time. S12 has sold out of most Walmarts, Targets, and Walgreens in the area though.- 1,109 replies

You could do that or you could change the base plate out for a thicker base like my barrow downs.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 13 Rumours and Discussion
Blakstone replied to just2good's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Did I miss it or did we already discuss how the minifig next to the snake charmer might be the paleontologist? Even if that is the case, I don't see anything exciting about him from this snippet. -
This is an excellent build. I like the dual approach to open the building, but my favorite part is that the connecting pin is above the double doors. I have considered building a mead hall in a similar manner and I might appropriate your connector approach. My biggest hold up is the lack of color variation but you solved that with a stone building. Great job.

Agreed, It is a new color for the hair wrap, but I love that piece. I generally only enjoy the licensed and CMF minifigs for the detail on the torsos. Most of these minifigs will fit with my CMF Bluecoats and the swashbuckler.

Ivan, I think it can be hard to get that much attention for any Ideas set. Though once NujuMetru's set was featured it quickly rose. I have been checking it daily now and it gets more support than we were ever able to get with the Change.org petition. On Thursday Oct 30 there were 7100+ supporters. Today it is 7719. People that go to the Ideas site and were not thinking about Lord of the Rings are seeing this project promoted. Success breeds success.

I think there are two reasons. One, I quoted from the entry post that is now closed. There were people who likely attempted to enter the contest but they posted their entry into the wrong thread. The Mods said they would give a few days for such folks to send them a PM to fix it. Two, the Judges are going to decide the five entries from each category. Once they go, we all get to vote for our favorites. They have to discuss all the qualified entries before deciding the finalists.

Since we have already seen the Samurai, I wonder if they will just sprinkle some repeats in series going forward. The Galaxy Trooper and Alien Trooper sounded like repeats too but I double-checked the names and they are just derivative. Must Haves Evil Wizard King Sheriff Fencer x2 Goblin (Possible army builder) Egyptian Warrior (Possible army builder) Samurai (Possible army builder) Nice to Have Snake Charmer Paleontologyst Carpenter Hot dog guy Disco Diva Likely Pass Lady Cyclops Unicorn girl Galaxy Trooper Alien Trooper -

Spooky Girls are really easy to feel as their hair is rubber. However they are very rare. I bought the only two I came across.- 1,109 replies

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 12 Rumours and Discussion

Odd, the LEGO Store in OKC didn't care when I felt bags for this series and the staff felt bags for customers before too. But whenever I find these at Walmart, invariably someone opened bags. I wonder if your store had problems with people opening bags.- 1,109 replies

REVIEW: 70813 Rescue Reinforcements

I bought this set for the two civilian minifigures but I still have the fire truck mech assembled. It was just too great to scrap for parts. The barncopter was scrapped in the first week though.- 27 replies

One of the local Walmarts have the Goblin King set for $75 which is a great clearance price. There may be demand later for the big fig. I passed it up for another Black Gate but that is just for parts, not investment. Minis Tirith continues to dribble in support. I happened to leave that page up in another tab earlier today and started refreshing it. It has gone up about 6 supporters in an hour. Keep on climbing.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 12 Rumours and Discussion

I never had one with a missing piece. However, I bought a random Series 2 pack to get free shipping on Amazon lately. The Pop Star had an extra microphone. So if LEGO could accidentally give me two, it is possible that someone was shorted one.- 1,109 replies

Excellent build. I have long thought of doing either Bree or the Prancing Pony but I could not condense it in my head as well as you did in this build. My only suggestion is to update your barkeep minifig. He stands out as being too plain and not looking like Barliman Butterbur. I have a few fleshie heads in my collection with sideburns. You might have some too.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Blakstone replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
I disagree because basically one member scolded another for what they hoped for. There is no need for that because LEGO is not going to change their plans based on the view for one member or another. I much rather everyone can share their point of view without feeling the need to make others have to change theirs. I get more insight from people with whom I disagree with than with those that always agree. I have only three modulars (FB, GE, and PS) but they (and one modular MOC) cover over half of the dresser I use for display. I now think I might not need everyone that comes out. So if LEGO goes for two modulars a year, I will be happy. I might chose to skip one if I don't care for the design. However, I don't think anyone needs to consider the hobby if their goals and aspirations for a line don't match mine. -
Hobbit wave 3 has not shown up at any of my local Walmarts either. Only the two smallest sets are available at my Targets. You have to go to Toys R Us or The LEGO Store to find them all in OKC. The next few weeks will show if the local Walmarts will carry them at all or if they will pass this wave.

They might or might not go up after market wise. No ones if these exuberant eBay prices really sell. So if you are going to do it, be prepared that they may never sell. If you can accept that fiscal risk, go ahead. The worst that can happen then is you have some duplicate sets you can use years later. That said, some sets are likely to be considered classics such as Helm's Deep and Bagend. But also look for clearance sets. My only investment set is a $90 Helm's Deep set. I would make a $40 profit if I just sold it at retail. But if I can not sell it. I have great bricks and a second Theoden.

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
Blakstone replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
The SDCC Spideman had the ASM2 logo and was what I meant. LEGO had the means to make direct tie-in to that movie in addition to Guardians this year. They just chose to go with a cartoon tie in instead. -
I wouldn't bet money on it working.... but I don't have to. I can sincerely sign these Ideas petitions because if it does work, I will buy one. The same with signing the petition to save LEGO Lord of the Rings. Both are small simple acts that might help. For the record, my favorite Minas Tirith Ideas is NujuMetru's because I would have space for it. If I were to buy Rakrondewl's, I would not have space to display it. However, I supported both.

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
Blakstone replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Since we found out about two Amazing Spiderman 2 polybags, I now believe there is no licensing restrictions on releasing sets from multiple movies in a year. Rather, I think from a LEGO standpoint, they likely don't want to hitch sets to too many movies in a year. Sometimes it works great, but I don't think that Ironman 3, Lone Ranger, or Prince of Persia were good ventures from them. It may be they want to diversify their risk by only focusing on one Marvel movie and augment with comic sets. Alot of the fans, KFOLs and AFOLs, don't seem to mind. -
Actually, I assume that there is prize support from LEGO on this contest. If so, this is a new gesture to the Middle Earth fans on Eurobricks.
