Chief Accountant Long?! Danny has some explaining to do... Nice editing, too.

I really like the dojo walls, very neat and minimal but also very much fitting our heritage. The attention to detail with the desktop and reflection pays off too Octan Chrome

AG - Introduction and Discussion
Commander Turtle replied to Bob De Quatre's topic in Andromeda's Gates
'Fraid not, but if you ever come near London say hi. Brick 2015, here I come! -
Nice one! The dragon head, droid head, and that end piece for the gun all work together very nicely. According to Nuck's maths, you're safe of the deadline. Although it would be good to have Bob clarify

Nice angled walls! Good way to make a spaceship interior. That said, I'm slightly concerned by all the killing. Tbh I'm surprised no-one has been court martialled or something from this, given that we're companies not warring factions!

Sure is! And thanks, I agree. Could do with some more parts so I can get more height.

Thanks everyone! Nope, and I think they'd have been buckling a bit under the weight. I went with a simple rigid structure to make my life easy. A couple of black parts to cover gaps and plug the end-holes. You should! Come join us at Kawashita. Even if you can't build every week, we welcome all comers And we definitely have the best colour scheme.

Planet: C08 Lorstan II Tags: Exploration Commander Turtle and Dr. Killjoy have returned to Lorstan II, ostensibly to analyse algae. Neowwwwwm!! Commander, is there any chance we can slow down? Not on your life! I think we passed an algae formation a few seconds ago! Or maybe it was another horrific space-worm, I have no idea! This data is too noisy... Noisy means fast! Learn to love the noise! Not that type of noisy! ~~~ So, this one is directly inspired by Venetian taxis, which are cool as hell. And brick-built water because, well, I don't really like the "random 1x1 trans-blue plates" approach to liquid and I wouldn't have enough parts for it even if I wanted to! C&C appreciated, especially with said water.

This train from that movie!
-
I missed out on the Emerald Night and Maersk, and didn't buy the Horizon Express because it's in a really ugly colour. As such I've never seen a Creator train at retail I wanted to buy. I ended up getting the EN at retired prices, with a vague intention to sell at some point. If there are many others like me who couldn't stomach the Horizon, I can imagine it showing disappointing sales. They shoulda released the train from the movie, or have the bravery to put out another train now to test whatever hypothesis they have about them.

This is such a bizarre build! Nice one in taking a completely different direction And good, uh, "Microscale" ship!

AG - Introduction and Discussion

My guy is basically Emmet hair, this face, this body, and some different arms. Or you can skip the head and do his exploration helmet, which is standard red helmet with this visor in blue. -

If you were in Kawashita you'd be fighting with me over the 3rd division, since I have the dubious distinction of the lowest executive score, if we include Bribe Bags When my MSc is done, I'll prove my mettle! I picked from people who'd never skipped a build, and saw MANTIS doesn't have anyone from week 1 with that distinction! SpacerSteve at least hasn't skipped a build since week 2 Also, my branch is the only one with exactly 0 credits. I believe that makes my branch the procrastination wing. Come to Kawashita for honour, glory, and procrastination! -
Glad to have been an inspiration! Good little micro scene, enjoy your new technology.

We're definitely hitting the builder-drain now, when people are starting to have real life and general burn-out after 11 hard weeks. (Not that there are many outright quitting, just a decent percentage reducing their building quantity). Well, I'm going to try my hardest to build every week until it's just me, Dannylonglegs, and SpacerSteve fighting over the ruins of Andromeda -
The photography framing totally makes this. Pretty sure he killed off your robot clone, although don't tell anyone our technology is that good yet The last thing to get right is the hair settings...

Cute little ship, Sal, and it's nice to see how you're integrating the story too. Did you use coloured filters in your lighting setup for the full-edit shot?

Nice work! Classic style of design for this sort of ship, with a bit of your own flair brought to the table.

This guy relates to your fashion! Why stop at skin colour gloves when you can have a skin-coloured bodysuit? The wing decoration is straightforward but works very nicely I assume all the little clips help with picking up space-dust for analysis?

[Challenge 2][Cat A] Kawashita Asteroid Collector
Commander Turtle replied to gurusql's topic in AG1 Archive
This is a neat transforming craft. I had a poke to find the image of the join, looking good. I always like functional vehicles, and the idea of asteroid-tugs is a nice one. -
Lovely little ship! It's hard to see how it's all holding together, since there's not much of a core!
-
Thanks guys! They're so much fun to build! Sometimes it's nice to put bricks together in a way you've not done before And thanks!
