Planet: A04 Mynderis Tags: Exploration Commander Turtle has been regaling Lieutenant Sonja Okura with his daring feats during the war on Pluto. So, as you can imagine, as soon as it touched his tea the spoon he was holding burst into flames! Haha. It's especially funny because he burnt his hands. Oh, Doctor Reagan was so angry, he kept repeating, "Give me back the burn cream," but he came to see the humour in it. Never let me live it down! He always said, "Why would you burn the hands of the one person who knows how to make a bandage?" He always knew how to take a joke well, that Doctor. Anyway, where was I? So, after that the engineering department made sure that all the spoons had sticky notes saying, "Do not coat with liquid-reactive explosives," which I thought was very funny. It's like they were asking for it! These little walkers sure are fun, aren't they Sonja? Sonja? Where the devil are you? SONJA! Oh hell. There is going to be an obscene amount of paperwork if she's gotten herself killed. To be continued?!

[K - A04] Important awesomnium delivery
Commander Turtle replied to EpsilonEta's topic in AG1 Archive
Great truck! Really feels like those mega trucks used in mining. -
Not a problem at all! I recommend using Bluerender to produce really nice images from your LDD files. When Bob gets around to adding you to the planets and players index, each person has a link "sigfig" next to their image. That's their graphic for use

Great little build! You should definitely place it on a planet with a [A - X00] type tag, but then I would say that since you didn't attack my company If you make a quick character, you can start collecting credits even if that character doesn't always feature such as this. Then you could get a tag or something later on

Welcome aboard Cameron! I'll make sure you get added to our group PMs soon, which have details about what planets we want to build on this week.

AG - Introduction and Discussion
Commander Turtle replied to Bob De Quatre's topic in Andromeda's Gates
Hi Cameron! Post a 100x100 picture of a minifig character, and say you'd like to be a pilot. You can build once a week, or if you can only build sometimes that is fine too. Builders of all skills are welcome in Kawashita, so don't worry about the scores Come introduce yourself on the Kawashita thread, we're always happy to meet new builders! We'll be happy to answer anything you've still got questions about. -
Wow, there's a lot of negativity here. If they'd released a small building with the same tree, you'd be unhappy that you "had" to get another tree. By making the building the same, they're giving you full permission to skip the set, the only "loss" is waiting an extra year for the next in line. There are lots of fans who started collecting in the last 6 years, I don't think it's a surprise that they might want a tree.

[Challenge 2][Cat C] Lab Inside a Kawashita Cruiser
Commander Turtle replied to gurusql's topic in AG1 Archive
This is cool, the striping on the wall looks very neat and professional. -
Cool one, and thanks for the cameo! It may as well be the same ship that my gym comes from, since it seems the Commander is on it Nice one on the logo, btw. A rare sight when we try to build it!

The Poseidon is one of the fleet of larger vessels that transports dozens of men, women, and ships to planets for settlement. It is equipped for extended flights and can hold enough supplies to survive for over two years without restocking. Of course, the people aboard must stay active and strong, and for this it provides numerous gyms inside its quadrants. Look how much weight I'm lifting, Sonja! Easy. Sir, you do have a robotic arm. It isn't entirely fair. Tell Dragonfire that I'm the strongest explorer in our company! Even if he specialises in alien combat, I could take him! Overview shot: ~~~ Got some cameos in there, of a certain variety I really wanted to do this because I know exercise in space is a pretty big deal. Reduced gravity has its own set of issues so it's very important that we all stay nice and healthy out here in Andromeda! (Plus I always like doing mundane, non-combat things in a fantasy setting. Just seems to tick boxes for me.) Dead pleased with the exercise bikes in particular. First time I've ever pulled legs off their hips, scary stuff... C&C welcome.

This is really super. It's a very clean build, every part serves its purpose and the height of the whole thing sells it.

Pillage the Village Contest: Out for Blood Edition
Commander Turtle replied to Capn Frank's topic in LEGO Pirates
While it's early in the thread, people planning on making digital entries would be well advised to render with either Bluerender or LDD to POV-Ray. Since it's up for a public vote, you'll want it to look as good as possible- 144 replies

Also LPJ, the current "week" lasts until 10am GMT on Monday 24th Aug, because it was extended. Then the "week" after that is extended to end on the 7th, to make room for the challenge. Be sure to message Narbilu to get added to our 2 standard PM chains

Holy moly, there's a whole lot going on here! So much interesting stuff to see, I'm loving the chance to see more of the Fabu-aliens in their natural environments. Great work throughout. I know, right? How upsetting! -
This is very nicely done, the groundwork also makes good use of those cutout pieces to make craters. The vehicles are also cool. Looks like a Kawashita-brand crane arm has been installed - well, you guys never were good at precision engineering

I have to agree with Robuko. In contrast, I think Commander Beltar handled a story with death well by having it send him to HQ to get court martialled, and just generally put him on Kawashita's own bad books. I'm not entirely comfortable with the corps just having war without consequence, we should still be accountable on some level.
