I can´t confirm the mentioned issues, but could be plausible at least for older generations. CaDA parts are constantly improving and there is a big quality jump from parts used in 2018-19 (e.g. offroader) sets to the parts we are having now. Regarding axles sliding out the diff - I always secure them properly so it can´t happen accidently.

I´m wondering which differentials you are referring to (offroader?) The latter is working fine at the rear axle of my car, being engaged from both sides in the gearbox. Another nice part which somebody might find useful for heavy duty RC applications, is the metal U-joint featured 3x in the set as possible alternative, which I found really cool. These are two aluminum pieces connected by a brass joint. You can buy them separately as well here.

I don´t know what you mean, I was simply trying to express as clear as possible that I didn´t want to create the trouble. However, I won´t contribute anything to the legalistic debate - the referee made a decision and that´s it. My favourite parts from CaDA are the remote control and battery box with 4 channels, connected by BT. That´s what I was dreaming to have released by Lego, but they didn´t. I know many are complaining the movement is 0 - 100% and nothing between, but I still prefer it above an annoying smartphone app. I hope the evolution of the device will come some day with gradually responding motors.

Thank you very much, Jim! And thanks to everybody for the respect and warm welcome, I didn´t know yet I´m an old "veteran" already . Sorry for all the trouble, but we see the entertainment level on the other hand . I´d be happy if instructions and partslist were available for everybody, so you could build your own Lego version of it. In case we will publish information here asap. At least in black or white it should be possible from Lego parts only, everybody knows we are missing the 13x3 curved panels in red ever since. Let´s discuss the technical aspects of the car, e.g. the gearbox. To make it work under load, moving a heavy car, without gears grinding or skipping, I experimented till I came up with the shown solution: You could make a simpler version of it for a manual car and keep the gear indicator (round brick on top) as manual shifter.

This was the original entry post to start this topic: The topic was allowed to stay in the Technic Forum, to enrich the discussion about insteresting technical aspects of the third party devices, including the CaDA models they are being featured with. Concluding from the last pages in this topic everything is welcome from off-topic distraction, doing the opposite of what the OP was asking for, curse & swear and open insults by users who obviously are underaged pubescents (which violates the guidelines as well). Yesterday another "CaDA topic" started by @amorti, has been banned into the darkest corner of EB where nobody will find it, due to compaints from some members who "have been offended by the fact this is not LEGO" (that´s how democracy works nowadays). I´m about to leave in disgust...

Thanks, I´m curious about your custom version of it! The exhaust pipes used by @Polo-Freak are these: Engine, Smooth Large, 1 x 2 Thin Top Plate in chrome silver. These parts with the 2x2 plate wouldn´t fit. Georg is the craziest Technic Supercar collector I know and has become a close friend, so he was in the position to make an early test build by photo instructions, using genuine Lego bricks only, except the red 13x3 bowed panels we have bought together in a 50 pcs. bulk from Ali and including the ridiculously expensive black axle pins (bricklink).

Guys, I owe a lot to the community on this forum and I´m a bit sad this time I couldn´t share my MOC here as usual. It´s always fun to discuss every technical detail, pros and cons back and forth. I think the reasons are obvious and most of you will understand. First, there are rules and guidelines on this forum. Second, this project belongs to a cooperation sealed by a legal contract which has its own restrictions. To answer the question raised up amongst the Lego purists: I don´t know if and when partslist and instructions will be released for free download from the set manufacturer. They are not my property however. The main thing for all of us is having fun and enjoy our hobby with all individual preferences and ambitions. Mine are the following: I will always build what I want/need. I don´t have to ask permission from anybody for that. The bricks I´m working with, are mine. The way of putting them together is my idea as well and I don´t care whether others call it „illegal“. Achieve a new level of skills, design accuracy and innovation with every new model. That means professionalize at some point. Though I still have to do my daily boring paperwork in my regular job for a living to pay the bills, refuel my car and buy a house to have enough room for my kids. Once (in the bio of the book „Incredible Lego Technid“) I promised all of my future models would come with instructions. Sharing my work with others drives me to higher efforts and success and that´s really a good thing. In this case it wasn´t possible in any other way without compromise. Last, but not least: the shown model is NOT a Ferrari. It´s only inspired by some famous car brand located in Italy. In contrary – the official Lego set #42125 to be released soon WILL BE a Ferrari (although it probably can be recognized only by the stickers and the price label as such ). Cheers

Great MOC, thanks for sharing! The first impression is always important and I must say I liked that front view instantly ! Surprisingly the colour vomit between yellow/bright light orange/orange/red isn´t as much disturbing, it indeed resembles a „natural“ racecar where the colours have no bigger meaning other than be distinctive from the competitors on the racetrack. The following isn´t meant as critics, jsut my opinion. Although this is a freestyle creation, there are no limits or boundaries of course, I wish the part behind the wheels to be a little bit longer for aesthetical reasons, featuring side view proportions like in a „regular“ sedan. The gaps above the rear wheel arches are slightly too big for my taste. I´m not familiar with these white pieces you have used on the sides of the seats (bionicle?..) Please make a video of the driving car, I think many of us would like to see the performance you achieved with the new electronics.

I wonder why on earth they called it „DTM“ and mounted a cargo box on it, actually it has nothing to do with the DTM racecar RS5. Some interesting background info about the real counterpart which I found a bit funny and sad at the same time: "„The Audi RS 6 DTM Avant, one-of-a-kind and a former Gumball 3000 car from winter sports enthusiast Jon Olsson, was bred to 1,000 hp and stolen and set on fire.“ .... Nice job on the stickers, your model is recognizeable. The front is too bulky, the bonnet sitting at least 1 stud too high. I don´t like the beams-over-flex axles at the wheelhouses.

@Seely : First of all, welcome to EB! The shown GTR spoiler is a custom modification posted on rebrickable by Schotty08. You should sign up there (if not registered yet) and ask him. Some more similar to this can be seen there on the photos section under both RC and manual versions. I guess the lack of the exhaust part led these guys to get creative, I always apreciate that .

The side view is a photography and the camera perspective is a bit distorting. Anyway, at the first glance one can instantly notice the too short wheelbase (distance between front and rear axle). The picture from the front conceals this dimension. The wheels are probably not too big, it´s rather about the too big radius of the wheel arches which is the same as on the Porsche 42056. This makes the wheelbase look even shorter. The perfect radius for 1/8 scale would be the wheel arches from 42096 - they are way too big for the smaller 1/10 scale.

There is not much to discuss so far, as long nothing new is being revealed to us. Therefore the topic title has been changed to "speculation". All we know it´s again a ridiculously expensive USC Lamborgini Sian in military olive green color with golden wheels. The highly educated well paid marketing experts in the HQ are doing their best to promote their premium product. IMO people are rather being scared away by this strategy. Honestly I´m tired to keep up with the useless bubble content every day... Anyway, staunchly looking forward to this car..

I deliberately have chosen a pic with a tuned Continental GT version which actually looks like a sports car. The original car and the rest of all Bentley are not to my taste. Doesn´t matter anyway because it has to be something new, not existing so far. However I hope they will stick with another brand outside the VW group next time .
-
From the beginning I was sure about the new wheels - they are the highlight of the whole thing because they will look good on almost any car MOC you can think of. Congrats to all the military guys on the olive green colour. Not so nice for all the other MOCers. Although being the biggest Lego Technic supercar enthusiasts, again we must accept we are not the target group with the "UCS model". I personally prefer the bigger Bugatti wheels above the Porsche wheels because the bigger diameter makes up the sporty modern look of a sportscar/ supercar.

MOCs vs Official Sets
brunojj1 replied to nerdsforprez's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
@Lipko This was the situation yesterday, but things are rapidly changing. Conservative or not, the empire is falling. As Held der Steine, a renowned expert in Germany, has said: TLC think they are doing so great. Neutral observers think otherwise regarding the wasted potential: imagine driving a 6-speed car in 3d speed, rev counter in the red area, thinking „Yeah, I´m driving at breathtaking speed!“ In the meanwhile you don´t realize you´re being easily overtaken on the other lane. Btw.: the market for MOCers isn´t that small and new opportunities are on the horizon. Competition is good, let the consumers worldwide decide who delivers the better toy to play, the more accurate replica or whatever. -
@T Lego I like this kind of attitude of perfectionning over and over . The "eyes" look even better now with the hockey sticks. The thin stickers at the edges make a small but considerable difference. I have thought about the front fenders again and I fully understand your struggle with this section - damn it - no 2L, 3L straight connectors available in dark azure! What do you think about the following: spare the #4 connector on the front end and the bionicle tooth at the door and put the flex this unconventional way: One more thought on the wheels: the inner rim part could be sanded, treated with filler and sprayed with matt silver.

[MOC] US Truck
brunojj1 replied to Lucio Switch's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
"Total length: 175,2cm" ... This is so ridiculously insane, my friend ! You need a hangar to store your models. What is the estimated total parts count / costs? Regarding these factors it´s very honorable you are willing to make instructions. Thank you so much for the entertainment ! These are obviously the biggest Lego wheels to date. If possible, no doubt Lucio would go for the bigger scale. I´d say you should add 25% to the wheels and everything else and there we go with a car transporter for the ultimate 1/8 supercar collection . -
Wonderful job you have done here my friend, congratulations on entering the next level ! So finally we are able to take a deeper look at this beauty . You have nailed all the shapes and captured the soul of the Centenario with all those important characteristic edges and angles. The car sitting as low, almost no ground clearance, is just to my taste. The front and rear views are stunning, aggresive like on the real car. Side profile resembles the silhouette very well too. I like the interior very much - nice details in the dash, beautiful cockpit area. Solid basic functions, great gearbox, openings with all the rings and bells plus mandatory suitcase, what does a supercar lover need more? As mentionned by others, the front wheel arch looks not as good from the side, as if the front axle/wheel has been pulled back by one stud accidently.. but hey, nobody and nothing is perfect in this world. You have had your limitations in parts range and of course there is always something which can be improved at some point, but then you would never finish a project. I´d be interested in the background story, I´m sure others would be as well. How seriously were you following blueprints e.g.? Did you get inspirations from other builders / their creations? You know, once I have thought about building this car, but while „accumulating the costs“ I couldn´t get over such obstacles as the diffuser with thin coloured edges or more trivial – the headlights, which are crucial details. You have found good solutions for these I haven´t thought of. Are the rims made of 2 individual parts to be stacked onto each other? Are they painted or is that grey and black basic material? What was your motivation to go this way and not to use available "standard" ones? Thanks for sharing!
