Second build for my character story, explaining his 2 year absence, part 1. A few days after part 1. After waking up with an excruciating headache from the knife hilt, the second thing I noticed was the icy cold I'd woken up to. The sound of footsteps and something being dragged across the snow could also be heard. My body had been wrapped in a nearly soft cloth, presumably to keep me from freezing to death, and had been tied down, my head still in the bag they put on me what I'm guessing must be a few nights ago now. I was laying on something hard, but not as cold as stone, so wood, that would also explain the dragging sound, I was tied to a sled. Yet no horse could be heard, only men, remembering the two men who attacked me in my room; large brutes, but strong enough to pull a heavy sleigh through the snow in such temperatures for days on end? What kind of men was I dealing with, barbarians, savages...? Counting the times we stopped assuming they were nights, it had been just over a month, dragged through the snow on a sled with little food and water. The first week I'd struggled, trying to find a way to untie myself and escape, a cold cylindrical object regularly bumped my head through the sack, a sword hilt? But after that, the cold, the lack of food, water, and very little sleep, I felt close to death. It almost got my once, they'd placed me on a boat, and the rocking motion without any sense of direction almost made be very sick, nearly throwing up inside the bag, which would not have ended well. I couldn't help but noticed how the temperature continued to drop, meaning one of two things, we were going up into mountains, but we haven't climbed any substantial slopes, or we were going North, very far North. So like I said, taking a break from AoM to continue my character story a bit. -Thanks for looking!

Well Frost spear is probably my favourite build of yours, I've always admired the technique for walls, and thank you! Thank you very much

A very interesting technique for the road and sand, it works nicely. Really loving that Palm tree though, looks great!

Nocturnus Minichallenge II: Paying Tribute
Legofin2012 replied to MassEditor's topic in Guilds of Historica
Congratulations to the winners, both were very well deserved! -
Thanks, well this is one of the rare occasion a build of mine has remained intact after photography, so if I can find a way to take better photos maybe I'll take a few more of this I wanted it to be unique in a way, not just a normal tower, and decided to try the window technique again but with bars, glad you like it Thank you, glad it fulfilled it's role The rounded roof really was the main part here, I built it first and then the rest around it
-
Thank you, glad the roof was worth the trouble
-
Thank you, took a while to get the shaping to a point where I was happy with it Thanks, and I see what you mean, I just really wanted to try something different for this one Thank you Thanks, use it as much as you like While I do have a few green and yellow flags, they only come in one size, whereas with these banners the size and width can be changed to pretty much any size Thank you, the stone technique is borrowed from Bulfiji, but it's pretty part consuming so not sure I'll be using it too much unfortunately

Wow impressive build, the water looks a bit strange, but that's most probably just because of the reflection of the camera flash, and I'm sure it looks more than fine in normal light Also, my last AoM build for a bit while I continue building for my characters absence story. Tower phase III, the Key-Keeper: -
Defence: Tower Phase III Second of the three Blood lords, and oldest of the three, The Key-Keeper is chief of the Teridyan prison fortress, and the secret M.I.S. prisons. Under his watch no one has escaped to date, the towers of the prison reserved for the worst criminals, and enemies of the M.I.S. . The crows of the first Blood lord keep a close eye on the fortress. This build took a bit longer than the rest due to the awkward shape at the bottom, and my lack of inspiration till I found the large brown arches and decided to put them to good use. I really wanted a full interior on this build, but part limitation and a mess of parts to hold the bottom half together wouldn't allow, so I settle for just a small interior in the tower. The stone walls were heavily inspired by Blufiji and his incredible Frost spear tower. -Thanks for looking!

Somehow this topic got posted twice and I'm not sure how to delete this one, apologies Real topic: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/141400-aom-the-key-keeper-phase-iii/

The retaking of Eolas: A heroes farewell
Legofin2012 replied to The Maestro's topic in Guilds of Historica
Very nice build yet again, the whole scene feels alive and busy! The texturing on the stone and plaster walls is great, and the flags and flowers give just enough colour to display the perfect feel for this build, great work! -
Wow, so much to like in one build, so many great details! And the build as a whole looks fantastic too, the two floor levels, massive stone oven, and the use of the Ursula minifig works perfectly here! A very nice build indeed

The retaking of Eolas: Construction of a army
Legofin2012 replied to The Maestro's topic in Guilds of Historica
A very nice, and believable build! Even if I wouldn't want to be the one standing near the target seeing the previous shots The wall looks great, the texture and colour giving a nice old, weathered look, as does the forge roof. Great build! -
A very impressive and imposing keep! The snow covered mountain looks great, and the perfectly executed interior like the others have said, best part of the build! I also understand the struggle of not having a build complete for longer than 24h after photos

Thank you, ah nothing, maybe something I'll expand on later, we'll see Thanks, although personally I'm still not sure about the arches -

Thank you, admittedly I'm not much a fan of the tiles over the arches either, maybe if I had more time I could of found an alternative. But the parts from this were needed for my Minichallenge entry, so this was actually dismantled 4 days ago And thanks Thank you, to be honest I didn't really have much choice, I just did the best I could to build a wooden tower with the parts I have! Oh no, well I'll do my best Thanks, I'm pretty sure the base took longer to build than the actual tower Thank you Logically speaking yeah, the design would seem a bit instable, a bit of Mitgardian Magic maybe? thanks, I'm quite fond of him too -

My first GoH build not based in Mitgardia Built for the Nocturnus minichallenge II: The Shrine to the Sphere And most recent AoM Build: The Crow-keeper -
Defence: Tower Phase II The Crow-keeper, first of the Blood Lords, distinguishable by their dark red robes and magnificent facial hair, high ranking members of the M.I.S.: Mitgardian Intelligence Service, he uses highly trained crows for reconnaissance in investigated territories, staying half way up the mountain out the way of prying eyes. - Thanks for looking

Legofin2012 replied to Legofin2012's topic in Guilds of Historica
Thank you, yeah I did want some snow up there, but it didn't look quite right, maybe it was just the way I was doing it. The roof was also particularly fragile, so I avoided messing with it too much -

Well it was more a little bit of editing for the lighting, but thanks! Thank you, the stairs were intended for another non GoH build, but thought they'd work well here Thanks, the story was a bit rushed, but glad you like it PRASE THE SPHERE.
