Thank you, although phase II will be in different a different style to this one as it'll also be part of my character story, but phase III should be back to the usual AoM style like this one Thanks, and yep, I used to have a mostly Star Wars/sci-fi lego collection, and I'm expanding towards castle reusing a few parts along the way Thank you Thanks, the cart was a last minute idea, and admittedly yes the banner looks rather solid, but I'd like to imagine in a real world it'd be nice a flowy and not made of plastic Thank you, the black base was an idea from my first AoM build, and kinda stuck

Age of Mitgardia (free-build-challenge)
Legofin2012 replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in Guilds of Historica
Defence: Gatehouse, Phase I And I think I forgot to link it here, Tower, Phase I, Belltower outpost: -
AoM: Defence, gatehouse phase I Near the border between Mitgardia and Avalonia, a small town surrounded by a wooden wall, with gates at each entrance, a guard watches whoever enters, the Mitgardian banner flowing in the wind. A farmer leaves the town to sell his produce. A small build I whipped up today after getting back from holiday, after realising the next build for my character story would go well for Gatehouse phase II, just needed a phase I to precede it -Thanks for looking!

I'll take that as a yes then, thank you, thought it'd be best to ask before buying a few polar bears and implementing them in my story, but they'll most probably play a key role now, I'll be sure to credit you for them

Wow, a fantastic and unique castle! I know this is a few months old, but I was wondering whether you'd mind if I used the Svellbjorn in a few builds for my character story?

Book II - Mitgardia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Legofin2012 replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in Guilds of Historica
Thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately I just paid for a trip to China, and it was a bit out of my price range But I did get a Pick'a'brick full to the top of useful parts for future builds, and 2 series 16 Minifigures who just happened to be Rangers Nice to have you back, and great work! -
AoM: The Crow-keeper; Tower Phase II
Legofin2012 replied to Legofin2012's topic in Guilds of Historica
That's fine, and thanks, but yes, I struggled a bit with the window, an uneven amount of studs made it a bit awkward And I've been trying to make all the minifigs into interesting characters, so they can be reused as part of my character story (like here), and not just generic minifigs never to be seen again -

Nocturnus Minichallange III B: Brofendur's kitchen
Legofin2012 replied to The Maestro's topic in Guilds of Historica
An impressive build and great idea, not a hole I'd want to fall into The light up dragon head is very well done, and so is the pie! The layers of rock work with the kitchen in between is nicely done, a fantastic entry!- 17 replies

Thank you, I wasn't too sure about the rounded tiles, but glad you like them Thanks, but funnily enough it isn't actually, the floor-wall connection is kinda unstable and a bit of the floor isn't attached at all

AoM: Archery, Phase III: Mitgardian Marksman Tournament
Legofin2012 replied to soccerkid6's topic in Guilds of Historica
Wow, the stands, targets and ballistas are fantastic, but that landscaping is stunning the dark green and tan work great together, and the brown studs give the effect of dead plants after the ice has melted. The functionality of the ballistas and targets take the build to the next level, a great finish to the your archery AoM builds!- 19 replies

Thank you, now you mention it a half stud above the floor might have worked better, and avoiding grey wall syndrome is particularly difficult as I don't have many usable grey bricks, this used up pretty much all of them good thing the banners are here to stay And yes, I despise that corner, but didn't have the time or bricks to make it any different Thanks, making little pieces to be interesting items in the background was kinda fun I probably should of continued two studs wide till at least the corner though, but I did try a vertical edge to the wall but wasn't parti fond of it Thank you, next part might take a while though as I'm away for a week, and am still undecided on where to go next with the story Thanks, and of course not, be my guest, I'll be sure to look out for them in any future builds of yours Thank you, originally only intended to build the map, but got a bit carried away and the rest kinda just happened Thank you, well I think this has to be my first castle interior, so glad everyone likes it

Book II - Mitgardia: Guild sign-up and Discussion

Part 3 of my character story, a bit different to what I'm used to building, I don't really do many interiors: -
The next part of my character story, check out part 1, and part 2. A few days after part 1. After the kidnapping of men by barbarians in Teridyan, a meeting was called in the map room of the M.I.S. manor, reuniting 3 high ranking members: The Blood Lords. Demm, head of Blood lords, vice-chief of the M.I.S. - So, you must be wondering why I have summoned you here? Krew, first Blood Lord, the Crow-Keeper - Well I most certainly am. Demm - I received a message from a friend in Teridyan, there has been another silent attack and kidnapping... Obara, second Blood Lord, the Key-Keeper - We are yet to solve the last one. Demm - But this time the situation has gotten worse, a member of the M.I.S. has been removed during this attack a few days ago. Kan, third Blood Lord, leader of the M.I.S. Northern Guardsmen - Who is it? Demm - Finnak Sern, known as Fin. Obara - I met him on a few occasions, I cannot imagine he'd be an easy man to kidnap. Demm - We believe this attack is related to the others, so based of witnesses, the attackers are large, barbaric looking men, who come in the night and take the men only, leaving everything else untouched. We've narrowed down the location of the attackers and hopefully their prisoners to somewhere in Mitgardia. Kan - It's not that that is not much to go on, but all of Mitgardia is a rather broad search area, not to mention we've had M.I.S. specialists investigating these kidnappings for over a year now... Demm - Which is why I've called upon you three, Krew, we need you to provide an eye in the sky, use your crows to search the land far and wide. Krew - As you wish sir. Demm - Obara, I believe a man matching the description of the attackers is in your custody after getting injured during one of their little raids, we need as much information off him as possible, and by any means. Obara - Very well sir, we interrogated him when he was sent in to no success, but I won't fail this time. Demm - Kan, as much as your services are not required at the moment, as soon as the location of these men has been revealed we'll need your guardsmen to strike and recover any Mitgardian prisoners. Kan - Aye,it would be my pleasure m'lord, I'll get the boys prepared. Demm - And I wish to present you head of our rangers, Thomas, he and his men will search all Mitgardia for the Barbarians. Thomas- Good evening gentlemen, wish I could chat but I believe we all have work to do. Demm - Good luck to you all. A few months later. Krew - Sir my crows found nothing, we've searched all the land for a trace of the barbarians for months now, and word from Obara says the prisoner was no use, we have nothing... Thomas - The same for my rangers sir... Demm - This is most unusual, and leaves two solutions, either they aren't in Mitguardia, Avalonians or Nocturnians maybe, or... Krew - No, that's not possible sir, the only thing up there is ice creatures and snow! Thomas - What we are dealing with are no ice creatures, yet no man could survive up there. Demm - Someone must go, someone must venture through the snow and ice... Thomas - I will go, I knew Fin, I shall not let him down. Krew - Alone? Thomas - I will take any willing rangers, but if none agree, yes, I shall go alone. Demm - The best of luck to you master ranger, you will go where very few dare, brave the Frozen Beyond. Thomas - Thank you sir, I shall return and with the location needed. Possibly my largest GoH build so far, starting off with just the map and then expanding, the map was rather fun to build, and I tried to make it as accurate as I could. Sorry the story kinda jumps through time here though going back to before part 2, and then to after it. Without minifigs: -Thanks for looking!
-
A very nice build, gives a nice big hall feel with the large wooden beams, and plenty of great details, the figs all look like interesting characters even the ones in the background. A great story too!

Thank you, and glad people are interested in the story, can't say I've ever been any good at storytelling

Thank you Thanks, the next part is a bit different, and it's going to take a bit longer though

A very natural and realistic looking build, the violet colour of the tree breaks up the white and grey nicely! And I always enjoy reading the tutorials! A great little build and helpful tutorial

Part 2 of the story explaining the disappearance of my character: Pt. 1.1: Across the icy wasteland (Any ideas for names for the "story", I'm awful at coming up with names and have been struggling to find one for this ) -
Thank you, the next part might take a bit longer though, that is if I don't get distracted by AoM again
-
Thank you, the sled will be staying for another part or two Thanks! Thank you, the frozen pond was the starting point for this one
-
Thank you, and I'm sure you'll find out in the next few parts Thanks, (admittedly I did, but I'd pretty much finished this by the time I read it anyway ) the sledge probably took the longest to figure out, surprisingly awkward shape! Well we'll all find out soon enough

Nocturnus Minichallenge III B: A Tasty Treat
Legofin2012 replied to LittleJohn's topic in Guilds of Historica
Very nice, so many details crammed perfectly into this kitchen! The pumpkins are simple, yet work nicely, as do the large pies, not that I'd try one The curved walls looks magnificent, so many ball joints though! The large oven and draws look great too, particularly liking the venus fly trap. Amazing entry!
