  1. Very nice, full of wonderful details! The ZCerberus influence is clear on the building, yet with your own style combined. And the whole display just looks fantastic!
  2. Thank you, well I imagined this gate would be somewhere along the wall of my Phase II walls, so I wanted to include the stone pillars Also Phase III is nearly completion, with only rock work left to do, it's my biggest build yet and so far I'm fairly pleased with it
  3. Nice little build, as much as it's simple, I love the shaping of the door arch! Looking forward to your something more complex
  4. I know I've already commented on this on Flickr, but it really is fantastic! I didn't mention I liked the use of both normal studs, and tiled studs, whether intentional or not gives a very nice texture. But as I've said the stairs still the best part, they seem to be a detail not often included, mostly due to space issues, but it keeps the build realistic in a way
  5. Wow, the story is getting really interesting, and slightly terrifying! The Northern Guardsmen have been assembling troops, in case of the worst case scenario. And of course the build is fanatastic, all the details are magnificent, from the chandelier to the floor with places tiles to give a nice stone brick look!
  6. Great build, the whole seen comes together nicely! As for the story I'm looking forward to the next part, an interesting story with just enough humor. Laesonar seems like he's in for an interesting night
  7. Thank you, and oops, the stone/wood combination? But I guess they do Glad people enjoy the story, the next part depends on how long phase III takes, as it's connected to the story, but not part of the storyline
  8. Welcome to Mitgardia @Tyndale, I'm sure you'll enjoy it here Hopefully you'll get a photo hosting page sorted out soon!
  9. Thank you, I made the mistake of disassembling the sled in between builds and having to find all the parts again for this Thanks, they could be, maybe I'll even use that bit for the front of a boat now you mention it Thank you, and unfortunately not, most of my builds could be compared to movie sets, only what is seen is built mostly due to part restrictions Not to mention this build is no more, needed to make space for phase III
  10. A magnificent little house, the Tudor style is perfectly executed here. The trees and all the little details are very nice too, the vines going through the wheel and the bridge, but like it has been said before the only thing that could be improved is the layering for the grass, maybe try and use smaller parts like 2x1 plates? But except that the rest is perfect!
  11. Thank you, the spears seemed like a realistic detail of a real barbaric village Thanks, the Frozen Beyond is a vaste and unforgiving wasteland, not easily crossed by foot, and I also need to make this story line last over the two past years
  12. Thank you, well it's different techniques, I got a photo of historica on my iPad and built over it
  13. Thank you, and yes, I'm only just starting to get to grips with photography, but I'm using a borrowed camera and I'd prefer not to fiddle with the settings too much, but photos always seem to come out too bright or too dark But something I'm definitely trying to improve, as I feel photography can be a very important part of the build Thank you, the base was built slightly differently to my other builds, as I used a baseplate under the whole build, and built over that Thanks, definitely not planning on ditching the base design any time soon Although that's probably due to having very limited tiles with stickers, I'm glad it worked out, thanks! Thank you, the curved wood parts were inspired but images I found of reconstructed Viking villages Thank you, I wasn't sure about the wood, as it uses the prefab wooden log wall pieces, but glad it works Thanks, I found the barbaric village look rather hard to capture, a bit of research had to be done, so happy it payed off
  14. Thank you, the map was particularly fun to build
  15. Far from my first build, but my best GoH build from before the 2 year break: And my latest builds, both for AoM, and one for my character story: Gatehouse Phase I: And Gatehouse Phase II, Frostgate:
  16. Defence: Gatehouse Phase II, Frostgate
  17. A build for AoM: Defence Gatehouse Phase II, and also my character story: Part 1.0: A rude awakening Part 1.1: Across the icy wasteland Part 1.2: Blood Lord reunion After over two months on being pulled across the ice on a rather uncomfortable sled, the smell of smoke filled my nostrils, we must be approaching our destination. A village, this far North? In the meantime the ropes tying me to the sled have loosened, if there's a time to escape, it's now. I freed my arms and leaped from the sled, removing the bag from my head and grabbing the sword before crumbling to the stone ground: turns out not walking for over two months, and eating only minimal food and water takes its toll on the body. My legs immediately gave way, but before falling and passing out I caught a glimpse of those around me, one was like the barbarians who attacked me in my room two months ago, the other if I wasn't suffering from hallucinations, was a large man with the head and arms of a wolf... It also seemed like my sled was part of a convoy, I can't be the only kidnapped Mitgardian. Who knows where they're taking me now. -Nearly a year later: Thomas to the crow - Tell Demm we've found it, far into the Frozen Beyond. Show them where it is, we need back-up as soon as possible, send the Northern guardsmen. Fly with haste. The crow squawked before flying off, as Thomas and two rangers scaled the wooden walls. -Thanks for looking!
  18. Wow, that's a lot of arches Put to fantastic use though, a very solid looking build full of great details! As much as the exterior looks very nice, the interior definitely steals the show
  19. Thank you, I think the pine trees go back to when I first started building for GoH
  20. A nice build, the rock work is very well done and the outpost look suitably weathered. I can only repeat what others have said, that the build would really benefit from a better background (something I'm only just mastering myself ) and a bit more layering and variation of colour instead of the plain grey base something I just noticed, but I love that chain ladder behind one of the towers
  21. Fantastic build and story, the smoke really adds the the terrifying beast, not sure I'd like to tuck into one of its tentacles though Looking forward to hopefully participating in the long awaited action
  22. Me too Always wanted to build a big castle or manor
  23. Will do, it seems to work well for small to medium builds, although not so sure about large builds, not that I'm on any for now due to lack of bricks, but maybe one day
  24. (AoM) Gatehouse Phase I | Legofin2012 | Mitgardia
  25. All the colours of the build work perfectly to create a simply stunning castle and surroundings Looking forward to seeing what comes next and hopefully taking part if there's anything to build for it
