  1. A very Nocturnus looking build, with the colours used and the orcs! The small camp is nicely done, although the fire looks like it could be hazardous with the dry bush right next to it Very nice build!
  2. A great little build, the colours and all the details are fantastic! The crumbling look works well, and the landscaping is very well done. Kinda agree with HQ about the grass, but that aside, great work!
  3. A sweet little build, the colours are nice and natural, and the target design looks great too. As the others said the parm-tree leaves look slightly odd, but that's probably the problem as they're just used to being seen as Palm leaves. The onlooking chickens seem to be enjoying it too! Nice build
  4. Two great little builds, the colour-scheme fits Nocturnus perfectly, not many bright colours setting a nice noctunian atmosphere! The little ponds are nice, and whereas the tower is simplistic looking, I see what you were going for and it still looks great and rather realistic, especially liking the little roof on top of the tower!
  5. A neat little build, the use of only light grey definitely gives the impression it was carved into the stone, and keeps the attention on the the centrepiece golden statue, nice work And for the photos to link them from Flickr, just click on the share button on the bottom right of the photo, go to BBCode, and copy that link in the size you want, then paste it here
  6. Thank you, the sled was the main focus for this build
  7. Thanks, I'm maybe adding another waterfall in my next build, so hopefully I can try and improve
  8. Defence: Gatehouse phase III, Guardsman Keep Town: Inn phase I, Aslo The Ale Salesman
  9. (AoM) Aslo The Ale Salesman | Legofin2012 | Mitgardia
  10. My latest build, intended for CCCXIV, but happened to tie in with AoM Aslo The Ale Salesman:
  11. Thank you, normal horses didn't seem appropriate for the snow, so an alternative was found Thanks, to be honest I didn't research into it too much, it just looked rather cool in Game of Thrones Thank you, I tried hard to think of a good name for it, but in the end "snow horse" was the best I could come up with! I find sleds rather difficult to build, but I keep seeming to need them! That is also a good explanation for the snow wall Thank you, I always try to make my builds different in some way
  12. Thank you, a while ago my nearest pick-a-brick (13 hours away) had olive cheese and modified 1x1s, so it was a great opportunity for simple and nice trees
  13. Thank you very much, and yeah, I thought about snow on the bridge, and than just kinda, forgot
  14. Even far north, where snowy blizzards frequently occur, the few outposts that far north still need resupplying now and then. But the paths are treacherous, and the wooden supports holding the snow back have been known to collapse. Only few brave salesmen dare to travel in these areas, but being few the profits are great. And of course a simple horse would not withstand the cold, more, appropriate, creatures are used. A build that happened to tie in with AoM and this years CCCXIV, also partially inspired by scenes in Game of Thrones for the ice/snow wall. A Northern Guardsman fills up on ale for his outpost Aslo and the Mitgardian snow horse, along with the specifically built sled And just the landscape: Also happier with the photography for this one -Thanks for looking! :)
  15. Just a quick build for this, living where I do I haven't seen snow in a while, so for me the most exciting part is probably realising it's actually snowing So many fantastic builds this year, and thanks again CopMike!
  16. (AoM) Frostgate | Legofin2012 | Mitgardia (AoM) Guardsmen Keep | Legofin2012 | Mitgardia
  17. Thank you, I experimented with a few things like the tower, waterfall and angles, so glad they turned out ok
  18. A very interesting build, and excellent evolution from phase I remaining in the state style, it'll be interesting to see phase II in between! The texturing on the walls is very well done too, especially on the "towers" either side of the gate. Another thing I like is the difference between the "outside"'with a desert looking land, and the inside the walls, looking more lush and green. Great build!
  19. Amazing shaping on this! I can imagine an small army of them rowing up swamp to invade a keep by surprise! Although I kinda have to agree with Littleworlds about the metal strips, or even dark brown, but that aside a fantastic little vessel!
  20. Thank you, the story should be continued in the next month or so Thanks, the brown arches are mostly decorative, inspired but viking villages. And the wall is (supposedly) made of wooden logs, so the tan parts would represent the lighter color of wood under the bark
  21. Thank you, I'm hoping to study architecture/design later on, and I found lego to be great practice Thank you very much for the tips, I actually have a pop-up light box, I just don't have space for it at the moment for these photos I had put paper over the lights, although maybe tissues would work better, kinda softer. And thanks Don't worry, they're LEDs, they don't seem to generate much heat Thank you, (I know, I feel like the photography completely lets this build down ) I knew from the start I wanted the drawbridge to work, even if it is just pulling on stings not that a crank system would be hard to install. I'll take your work for it, and keep that in mind for future builds, been a few years since I've seen snow around here! Thanks, the tower took a few attempts to get to a point I was pleased with I wasn't sure about the waterfall either though, but this isn't the last time I'll include one in a build, so hopefully I can improve on future attempts! Thank you, it wasn't initially planned, but I wasn't happy with too much grey
  22. Even building in a different guild, you still manage to nail it! The buildings are very nice, but especially the diverse flora and fauna give a perfect Avalonian feel! Not to mention the subtle but perfect minifig posing and expressions
  23. Thanks, and I know, I'm having the problem with either too much or not enough light, too much gives glare off a lot of bricks, and not enough ends up like this Thank you, I got worried about 3/4 of the way through building when I realised I may only have 5 arches Luckily the last arch turned up eventually
  24. Latest build, and final AoM Defence build: Gatehouse Phase III: Guardsmen Keep:
  25. Up in northern Mitgardia, close to the boarder with the Frozen Beyond, a stone keep perched atop the rocks. Home to the third Blood Lord, a dwarven master, and leader of the Northern Guardsmen. When the warning bell chimes, these men are the first to respond. So my final Gatehouse phase, and last build for the defence part. Also my largest GoH build so far! A young ice fisherman leaves for a day of fishing, as the dwarven Blood Lord overlooks. Also wanted a working drawbridge on this. Took a while to build this one, although I feel the photography kinda lets it down at the end - Thanks for looking!
