Pelly's Paradise Day Three: Death Knocks Thrice

I agree Shadows should have been the kill. But now we have no way of knowing if fhommes would have abused it or not. -
Pelly's Paradise Day Three: Death Knocks Thrice
Zepher replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I can't really defend myself against these accusations because they're not based on anything I've done. Once someone points out anything that I've done that's not town like, I'll try to explain them. For now... I still find all the action with the vig very strange. The whole idea behind revealing it was to see who would jump on it and then scrutinize it - fhommes did, and no one batted an eye lid. Then Brick all of a sudden redirects that action, something that again we sort of all agreed was a bad idea, and everyone is cool with that anyway. I strongly distrust both of these players. They are directly doing things we said we thought the scum would pull, and they're both not getting scrutinized at all. Even if fhommes isn't scum, what's stopping the scum from just scooping up the vig today and then "planning with someone in private" as to who to kill. fhommes did that yesterday and got off scott free. -

Zepher replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
So we're voting for the person you're going to coordinate with, or you're just picking one or we're all blindly trusting you two? I'm sorry, but isn't this exactly the way that we were afraid the vig costume would be abused? I was willing to give you the benefit of the doubt when you scooped it up, because time was running out, but this just seems silly. Even if you fail we'll know to scrutinize certain costumes - here that's not the case at all. It's literally exactly what we were afraid of the scum doing, and now you're doing it... -
OoC: Oh. Silly me. I did see the dodge. Damn it, Peri! Boomingham clammers to his feet and whips his handkerchief from his pocket to dry off his forehead. He huffs and puffs. "Just when I thought we were really hitting it off. How is the pretty boy out doing us, Eric?" Boomingham swings at the Songstress A from the front row with his saber. "We have to cut down their numbers, and fast."

OoC: The flock shouldn't hit me, they're blinded. Right? Or is that negated due to the "mob" aspect?

Pelly's Paradise Day Two: Two Wild and Crazy Guys
Zepher replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Apologies, Brick did acknowledge the possibility of an insane cop, but said he thought it would be "unfair to the town" and I again will have to ask him what he thinks Draggy's claim meant, then. Again, why in the world would Shadows tell us about Draggy's claim if he offed him as scum? That would be something he would never tell anyone. I really can't think of an incentive for him to tell us that. Even if there were two cops, he'd have no way to know which one was the insane one... right? So... no, I literally can't think of any scenario where Shadows wasn't telling the truth, and we know Draggy was town so he can't have been lying. I'm sure we had two cops, there's just no way to know which one we lost. And Bob and Tammo, I really don't think we should get rid of the vig. We know the vig, redirector, and stealer. If things don't go right in the night, we'll know it's one of those people's fault. I think now that those three are out in the open, it would be very hard for the scum to abuse without giving up one of their own. Unless there's another funky costume... but I can't imagine there is... I hope there isn't or else there's no way we'll ever make sense of the nights. -
Pelly's Paradise Day Two: Two Wild and Crazy Guys

Agreed on almost all of this. I imagine Draggy must have claimed to Shadows on Day One. I can't imagine a reason for Shadows to lie about it as either town or scum... regardless of what side Shadows is on I can't think of any reason he would lie about it - as town it obviously hurts the town, and as scum it's... totally useless, right? I seriously can't think of a benefit of making it up. It does make it so that we question our other investigator... but would Shadows put himself on the line for that, especially so early. I don't often see scum outing themselves for crazy tactics early in the game, but then again this isn't a conventional game. Brick's reaction to it still confuses me, though. He says it can't be true, but doesn't offer any rational for why Shadows might make up this lie, and doesn't even really respond to the fact that his hat could be an insane cop. He just says "no" but doesn't dig any deeper than that. We've even explained that in the past in similar games there has been an insane cop, but he still won't believe. As for the framer, I absolutely agree that there can't possibly be one. I don't think there's any roles that would only be useful to scum, and even if there were unless the scum happened to get it Day One and managed to lock it down again today, whoever got it would immediately out it. It also has no benefit for the town - even an insane cop can be useful to the town once they figure out that it's insane. Framer not so. I don't think Pelly would make a costume that only helps one side. -

Why do you think it's BS? Why do you think Shadows lied to Tammo about it? I can't think of any reason for that... Yes. I'm extremely confused about how vocal people have been about what their costumes do, especially after e had a whole debate on Day One and decided it was best to keep them secret... in a regular game outing the cop on day two would be absolutely absurd. -

Pelly's Paradise Day Two: Two Wild and Crazy Guys
Zepher replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Well, it's ice that I got here after that whole confusion with who redirected where was cleared up. I was originally going to say that the mistake makes Shadows look pretty town, because I've never seen scum pulls such an audacious move (particularly on Day Two) and then back down. But assuming it wasn't a ploy (and I will assume that, because it'd be a dumb scum ploy) a mistake can be made as both town and scum. I've misremembered information on both sides before. Bricklodeon is a little mixed in my opinion. I actually just wrote a whole paragraph about how much I trust him, but the further into writing it I got the less sure I got. I was going to say that it's very townie that he took the cowl, because it's something scum would never do (it's suspicious and it would be a bad costume for the scum to die with)... but in the same way that scum would never reveal the vig action, and we got a scum read on Tammo... and now he does have the cowl, and no one seems to be accusing him. If he's scum, it's a smart play. If he's town... less of a smart play, in my personal opinion, because he took away our chance to see who tried to maneuver their way to it. It was already out in the open - whoever got it would be under scrutiny. Hm... Walter and DrakDragon also seem out of the woods as far as the whole night of shenanigans go. I doubt they'd lie together. Forgive me if this has been said already, but Bricklodeon, was Draggy your cop as well? If we know that there were two cops, suddenly the chances of one of them being insane shoots up. One of the previous "pill/costume" games did actually have a sane and insane cop.
