  1. Boomingham steps forward and does his best to salvage the situation. "My dear lady, I apologize. Boomingham scratches his head, trying to remember what he had been told about the city by the priestess and the snake priest. He leans in towards Rex. "When you pass through the Palace District, buy her flowers there, and present them during dinner." Turning back to Rhiannon, Boomingham bows. "I hope you will be more pleased with his next gesture. Rex absolutely insists on taking you to the finest establishment in this fair city - a beautiful dinner at the resort." Boomingham blushes barely, hoping to the gods that the Resort really was the finest establishment in the city.
  2. The speeder is nice, but I agree that the spindly bending trees are what really sell the feeling of this MOC. Well done!

Shouldn't you have asked what they believed in before, instead of after?" His smile doesn't waver. "I am the next in command because they will follow me and respect me. I am no general, but you've killed all the generals. I am trying to spare their lives, and they thank me for that. So they follow me." He accepts the ashes graciously. "I will cherish them as long as I live." And here he smiles even more widely, at some joke only he knows. "Thank you." "This fortress is from the Orcish War. The Order Imperial is as old as time can remember. Once we were called Paladins, but then a more cowardly and corrupt order stole that name from us." Simon turns his gaze to Nerwen and Grimwald, and then returns to the other two heroes. "I believe your companions have already passed judgement on me, and perhaps I on them as well. But you two... I would like to leave this day with as little blood shed as possible. I am sure that we can come to a peaceful agreement between us. I am not my sister. She was a warrior of light, and I am a protector of it. Will you hear my piece?"
  4. OoC: Sandy, we both screwed up. There's no way to get to the Palace District straight from the Port. Do we just want to let it slide? Or do you want me to back track and go to the Holy District first (which is where I should have headed anyway - Rex gave me bad info on where his wife was and I followed it ).
  5. The boy shakes Kiray's hand. "Since you killed my sister, yes, I am their commander. I am Simon. It is a pleasure to meet you, Kiray." Yu Shu snarls, but her eyes are so unfocused its difficult to tell what she's snarling at - Simon, or some invention of her mind.
  6. The heroes plow ahead towards the exit, meeting no resistance. The halls are hushed. There is no more clomping of feet, no more rustling armor. Just nothingness. Eventually, the heroes see light up ahead, growing brighter with every step. Kiray feels a beam of warm land on her cheek. It is the morning sunlight, bursting forth through the windows as it rises in the sky. Ahead of them is the final gate, their way to salvation and freedom. "Hello heroes," says the young lanky boy. "I was hoping you might have a moment to talk. I have asked my troops to fall back so that we may have a moment of peace between us."
  7. OoC: I'm just being a pain in the butt, I totally understand why you'd want us to all catch each other up. So, for the record (to my fellow role-players) Boomingham is trying to get into the palace just on his own. He wants power, damn it! So imagine he didn't tell you about the Knight's request. Of course, if you guys want to use your out of player knowledge to stumble upon it, that's totally your business. I think it's more fun if there's a little intrigue in a party, but as I've said always, it's best that we're all having fun. Boomingham salutes his companions farewell, totally unsure as to where he is supposed to meet them, before leading Peri and Rex to the Palace District with the intention of finding Rex's love.

  11. I was pretty bummed when Scuba allowed people to match its poisoned/bleeding so easily in Strivvi, because it wasn't special anymore. Now it is again.

Boomingham turns to the Black Knight. "Corrupt? No doubt. That's generally how these things go. Care to elaborate though. Or better yet, you want to tell me how getting piss drunk in a bar is helping to stop that corruption?"
