  1. While I absolutely LOVE the exterior of the new Ghostbusters set, the interior was much in need of an overhaul! While it technically "seated" all four figs it did so rather comically. Here then, are my mods. It seats all four in the proper placement without affecting the exterior or seriously degrading the integrity of the structure. See other images here. As I have received requests for it, here is the LDD file: Ecto1-Mods.lxf
  2. Thanks Redhead1982, Legogal and datune! Here's a view of the back, you can see the first floor toilet and kitchen windows. Also, I have "painted" the cornices light tan instead of black. I have more pics, including some detail shots, here.
  3. Update: I've been doing some work in LDD to try to figure out what to do with the 2nd floor. I did a panelling study and turned it into a bath. However, I think the main bath will have wainscoting though the fixtures will be very similar.
  4. Beautiful building. I love the streetcar and the Christmas display window. I'd love a better pic of the ceiling lamp to the right of the Christmas display, as what I can see looks quite brilliant.
  5. GREAT landscaping! Cant wait to see the castle!
  6. I'm not really into micro scale stuff but this is some amazing building. Love the hinge plate balconies. All of its great, really.
  7. I love the shower - great design. Maybe you could add a shower curtain with some flex hose and a minifig cape?
  8. Did you mean of the kitchen elements or of the whole house? I believe I could, as I "built" all of this in LDD before proceeding to actual brick. The house, when complete, will probably be around 7000 - 8000+ pieces. I think I'm around 6000ish right now...
  9. This is awesome! Great work. LOVE the wedge piece under the windshild. Interior? And can it fit fig(s)?
  10. I meant that you can lift out each floor. Thanks to all for the nice comments! I have a few more pics of the kitchen appliances as their hard to see in some of the pics. Other pics here http://www.flickr.com/photos/flailx/
  11. UPDATE: The first floor is nearly done. The library and dining room need work but the rest is pretty much done. More pics can be found here:
  12. Love it - so sleek. The fender is awesome.
  13. Here's the parlour! It's mosly complete, though I may change the wall color and I will probably add some more details here and there.
  14. Thanks for the kind words, Eurotrash, Mutant Orc, Kristel and Lightningtiger! Actually, the dark orange chimneys are my favorite addition - I love how the color pops. Also, there are some Second Empire houses in our area that use that same color brick. Honestly, I would have prefered brown to look better - it would have been a lot cheaper!
  15. This is bricks, though I did design it in LDD first. Lovely sand green and dark orange in all there expensive glory! And yes, I started with 10228. Pretty much all that remains of the set is the sand green and roof pieces. I changed the accent color from light blueish gray to white. This required a LOT of extra pieces. I'd say it's roughly twice the size of 10228. Thanks for the comments! Thanks! The two story bay windows were a beast when it came to meeting the roof. There was a lot of trade off between durability and aesthetics. I am happy with the way it came out.
  16. I'm not sure whether this qualifies as a Mod or a MOC. I guess it's both. The exterior is an expansion/re-imagining of 10228. I used the same window design but with a 1/2 stud offset to give the windows a lower profile. Most of the design cues from 10228 have been carried over as well. I also added a bay window on the right and a two story set of bay windows on the left side of the house as well as a second chimney. The house is built in the modular style and will eventually have a fully detailed interior. I will update with more pictures as I complete more of the house. The parlour is nearly done and most of the first floor is in progress - waiting on some pieces. This is the biggest (and most expensive!) project I've attempted and I have big plans for this project, beyond just the interior and exterior. Other images available here.
  17. Does this update not work for Macs? It downloaded the update when I openned the program today but I don't have any of those new parts... :( EDIT: Nevermind - got it to work!
