The in store pick a brick walls are usually the cheapest if you have one within driving distance. But your selection will be limited to what they have in the wall at that time. I can get the price down to two to ten U.S. cents a piece with a large cup. Also if you go when a Lego convention is in town my Lego store has parts that are normally in the wall. Bill

The second Percy Jackson film is coming out soon that and with Lego already doing mythology themed minifigs it would be a natural fit between the two. Bill

Great review of a nice little set. On the back of the box it looks like he has given up on the fish and decided to blast the cat down with the fire extinguiser. Bill

The shelves are pretty bare in northern Illinois also. We have a couple of large sets left and the great vehicles line plus some small fire and night police sets. Bill

O scale rail is almost the same size as lego track but the gauge is different so you will have to hand lay everything.

With it lifted you could do an elevated trestle for sand and crushed stone dealer, coal and heating oil dealer or a power plant. If you flattened the area out a small industry for all of your cars you could build a team track or a Trans loading facility as they are now called. It can be just a spur track with a flat loading area so smaller companies and citizens can unload directly from a freight car. Or a large area with loading docks for boxcars conveyors for hoppers cranes for flat cars and gondolas and loading ramps for trailers. Bill

All your excellent signs distracted me but I know what you mean by missing things. A lot of times I will see things that got missed months after I have built something. And I found that in Legos and model railroading that all those little details can make a good model into a great model. Bill

Glad to see your negotiations went well I must be lucky to have my wife be into Lego as much as I am. Is that a new key cutting machine in the Mitre 10. Bill

It’s always nice to see your town Salvobrick and your mods of the city sets. It looks like you have downsized your display a little from last year. Bill

Track is one of those items where lego is almost always cheaper. Ebay and Bricklink both are usually higher on everything but flexible pieces. I just buy the 7499 set and use the flexible track for spur tracks ,bridge track and yard tracks. Bill

Just wait until lego online gets gets more sets in and order from them . The cargo train is due Jan 18 and the reds passenger train in 30 days. They are not retired yet and are not tagged as retiring soon so you have time.

I like the set the way it is the windows allow you to see the interiors which would be pointless to do without them. Also I think it would be cool to do a ficker effect to make it look like a movie is showing. Bill

With the airport retiring and possibly the trains (they are going on three years now) and harbor sets (most are listed as sold out or retiring soon). I am thinking it may be a new version of one of those. Also wouldn’t the coast guard sets be a spring release being related to fire and police? Bill

Lego1975 Microscale ( www.microscale.com ) has the early and late gray and yellow lettering schemes in O scale (1/48) which is close enough to Lego which most people consider (1/40) for hood units and F units. They also sell decal paper they call in trim film. Also Micromark ( www.micromark.com ) sells decal paper. Bill

According to the Abel and Harlow child molestation study of 2001 only 2 to 5 percent of the polulation are child molestors. Out of that poulation only 10 percent of child molesters target children outside their family or friends. 68 percent target family members and 40 percent are from social circles the children frequent. So your kids have a much better chance of being molested by your uncle (insert name here) than someone like a loving couple who do not have kids. Bill -
Very humorous build I love it and the way your club adds humor into its layout. So that’s why my bathroom is always messed up. Bill

Lightningtiger Maybe you could add a newspaper vending machine out front with some agribusiness newspapers or real estate magazines. Or some stock tanks, fence posts, Shell oil products, some horse tack, stacks of fertilizer or animal feed. Your shell sign and pump look great. All the shells I my town switched to BP a couple of years ago I miss the bright yellow signs and stations. Bill edit. If you wanted to know Koolmoter was a brand name of the Cities Service oil company which was bought out and changed to Citgo in 1968.

Lightningtiger Nice building and photocopier. Have you found and copies of any minifig posteriors yet. With a name like Studly I would not be surprised. Bill
