A leaked one, yes, but that doesn't mean Hasbro (or Lego!) has the green light to make figures based on it. They're keeping him under wraps officially, so we won't get any figures until sometime next year, well after we've seen him in the movie itself. (tho there is an official image of Luke from the 2nd teaser, but he's hooded, you can't see his face, and it's from a scene that--based on rumors--likely won't be represented in a Lego set anyway)

Galactic Hero by Phoenix Customs
Venkefedo replied to DarkKnight7's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
I'm wondering that, too; there's a Carbon Freeze set with a Boba & Han that aren't particularly special compared to other versions (especially if you got the latest Slave I), and an Ugnaught (very cool!), but where's Bespin Lando? And given the vignette nature of the build, it seems possible another set could connect to that one...perhaps with Vader, Lando, Bespin Escape Leia, and...Luke? However, we probably won't even get an inkling of such a thing until 2016, so right now? This Galactic Hero sure fits the bill nicely! Love the alt-expression, and the torso has the right amount of modern detail I think. Definitely would love to get that hairpiece in dark tan... Lego needs to get further away from plain tan for Luke's hair, which they've thankfully done with ROTJ Luke.- 26 replies

I don't recall the order, and might miss a few, but here it goes: Stormtrooper Snowtrooper Snowtrooper officer (TRU exclusive) Riot Control Stormtrooper Poe Dameron (jacket) Captain Phasma Constable Zuvio Finn Rey & BB-8 Chewbacca Poe Dameron (pilot) TIE pilot Kylo Ren General Hux Resistance Trooper Ello Asty Guavian Enforcer ...and, next spring, Old Man Han. Not sure if a Flametrooper's been announced/shown yet, but I'm sure there will be one in the next year or so (for Disney's "Elite Series" we've seen one, but not for Hasbro's Black Series IIRC). Some other characters are too under-wraps to be released this year (Luke, Snoke) There might be some other exclusive-types, like a Stormtrooper officer (with a pauldron, like the TRU snowtrooper officer)... Jacket Poe and the Riot Control Stormie are a 2-pack exclusive overseas, but they'll turn up as an exclusive set elsewhere, too. That picture is just for a photo shoot. Might've been Annie's choice to shoot Driver without his helmet on, but Christie with her helmet on.... IIRC, there was a similar photo shoot--or perhaps just 'behind the scenes'--for the original SW way back when, and David Prowse was pictured in Vader gear, sans-helmet.

Yep, that's the one! You can also use Bossk's torso & legs--again, swapping the hands--with any standard head & a basic white racing/space helmet with a black visor to make "Cantina Dude", and probably find some mix of torso & legs to use with the spare Bossk head to make one of the Saurins in the cantina, too...
-
Yeah, that Ithorian Jedi ("Rusty") looks a lot like Hasbro's depictions of Momaw Nadon from the Cantina, that it seems like Lego planned double-duty for him. Same with the protocol droid from the set, who looks like he'd drop into the Sandcrawler without much trouble at all. The current CMF series has a Fly monster...take his head, put it on this old technician's body, swap in some black hands, and you'd have a pretty good Tzizvvt from the Cantina.
-
Tan is what they're supposed to be, to fit with the non-Endor ROTJ Rebels! Like this guy, or this Sullustan, and this guy in the Falcon turret (General Cracken's in the other turret). That last guy's a good reason for Lego to bring back the barely-used Dark Tan hands, too... they're perfect for gloves for a lot of Rebel troops.

Leia's not nearly as secretive as Luke, as she was revealed in SDCC's Behind The Scenes video... So far the only official Luke image is what we saw in the second teaser, with R2. Glad Kylo will be available in a smaller set! He's the main baddie; it's kinda ridiculous to be stuck in a giant set like that, even if that's Lego's SOP across many properties.
-
...Battle of Takodana?
-
Exactly! It's a great army-builder for Rebels, for Resistance, for general GFFA/space/etc rugged outfits, and getting more alien heads to add to the collection to help fill out cantinas, spaceports, etc.

He's probably still an Admiral...but who knows? The Alliance military has always been a bit weird with ranks...it's possible that extended into the New Republic and later the Resistance, too. But if you want further proof of where that figure will appear in Star Wars media, check this image out. -
The unnamed set is based off TFA, not Rebels. Note it's got Ackbar, General Organa, and two Resistance Troopers. What's "disjointed" about the Rebel battle pack's figures, aside from the headgear of the two humans? They have 2 torso styles, 2 leg styles (tan and dark tan), two different nonhumans...given the Alliance can be a bit ragtag, having the humans in different hats isn't terribly unusual. On the plus side, it's a new deco for the A-wing helmet, great for expanding your Green Squadron pilots, or making one of the Red Squadron A-wing pilots... having 4 distinct troopers despite similar uniforms seems right up the Rebel Alliance's alley, even if the films weren't the best at showcasing that part of their nature.
-
Just bad enlarging... they're standard SW blaster rifles. The only new blasters we're getting in TFA sets are the new colors we've already seen so far in the Falcon & FO Transporter sets. Yeah, they're like the Hasbro 6" Black Series Resistance Trooper. ...so the translucent lens not being attached to the flip-up piece seems entirely intentional!
-
Those two Battlepacks are specifically from the new Battlefront game! They're also a great bit of evidence to refute that supposed list of upcoming sets... The BF2 packs are clearly wish fulfillment. Never gonna happen.
-
It's bigger, it's a two-seater, slightly different style. Could be from the same manufacturer but a different model, in-universe.

This is the only OT Shocktrooper ever. Love the Rebel BP; two new torsos, a Duros head (they wouldn't introduce Chiss in such a set, especially on the Rebel side, when Chiss aren't even really canon yet), new Rodian deco... The Imp BP is okay, tho having both jumptroopers with identical prints is disappointing. Easily fixed by swapping one with a clean stormie, mixing it up some... Great to get the hat in black! The Leia set looks neat, but I really hope those colors are prelim for her. I made my own with the Rebel Trooper torso and sand blue legs... The print isn't as detailed, but the colors feel better. Love Ackbar and the Resistance troops! Hoth and Carbon Freeze, some good and bad in each. Kanan's bike looks as oversized as Ezra's... ...but to those saying "should've had a new Inquisitor", this is still a Season 1 set. The new Inkies probably won't show up in sets until Summer, unless they turn up in an unseen set for Winter.
-
If the Jetpack Sullustan is there, hopefully it'll mean he'll have the ears/cap, as most Sullustans sport that look in the film (deleted scenes or not... Ten Numb in the briefing & at the party, Nien Nunb, the crew members on the Falcon)

Only coincidental, in that TOR also looked at SW concept art & the films as inspiration. You'll see lots of similarities in Rebels and TFA as well, because of the shared McQuarrie influence (maybe not reflected much in the Lego sets themselves, but in the two projects for sure). If Rey builds herself a double-bladed lightsaber for Episode VIII (considering she favors a quarterstaff in TFA, based on her toys & promo artwork/photos), then maybe you could say TOR (or KOTOR) was an influence, like the Shan ladies, brunettes themselves with a preference for double-bladed sabers -
...and more! Rogue One should offer up a lot of classic Imperial goodness after all the First Order stuff we'll be getting in the next year, not to mention all the rebel stuff they'll likely feature!
-
Han, perhaps... Especially if a number of gangs are still after Han, as mentioned in the "Smuggler's Run" young adult novel (the prologue/epilogue is set somewhat close to TFA, with Han telling a story about him & the Falcon to some guys in a bar) Greg Grunberg's pilot character would be a good, simple choice... a little new deco on the helmet (his helmet seems to have some blue by the 'cheeks'), and a new head or maybe this head from POP for his bearded look, it'd work nicely. Other nice alternatives would be Poe himself, in his non-pilot outfit with a white & blue helmet (like some of the figures Hasbro's released... same jacket Finn later wears, nice basic SW clothes underneath) or Atsy, the "Bullhead" pilot, but he might require a special head/helmet. I'm not sure how good it'd look, printing his head on a standard minifig head.
-
I think it's a bit more likely to be Guavian Gang members... in the Behind the Scenes video from SDCC, you see two Guavian Enforcers (link to the Black Series 6" figure) running down what looks like a ship's corridor.
-
I'd say a shocktrooper is likely... Hasbro's making a Black Series 6" Stormie with shocktrooper colors, right outta the game (minus the backpack, I think). The Rodian in the Rebels set also is right from the game, you can see a Rodian Rebel during one of the Hoth gameplay videos (I think someone mentioned you can choose your species on the Rebels side; they've shown human, Rodian, Sullustan, and Ishi Tib at the very least) No retcon needed, as "Princess Leia #1" from Marvel already established that the entirety of the Rebellion wasn't located at Yavin at the time of the attack--Rebel fleets were called in to assist in evacuation. Simple enough to deduce that A-wings & B-wings, along with all the non-human Rebels, were out in the various fleets and/or on other missions when the Death Star showed up (Ackbar arrives after the battle to help direct the evacuation procedures). Same could be said for ESB, where we didn't even really see Y-wings at Echo Base. We saw a tiny glimpse of the fleet at the very end, so the other fighters were likely elsewhere (with the Mon Cala ships, for instance). I like that we're getting Rebels-based Microfighters... itching to see pics of all the sets (even if TFA's upcoming sets are held back)! Finally, Jawas in a smallish set... I was hoping for a Microfighter Sandcrawler for that, but this'll do nicely.
-
They might've used it simply because it has a roomier cockpit than the recent OT one (or new TFA one)... and they also left the radar dish on it, despite the cartoon being set just after the Battle of Endor!

[MOC] TIE Advanced X1 TIE/X1 <+> Darth Vader's TIE
Venkefedo replied to MikeMo's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Beautiful work! Love the astromech swivel (I wish there was a way to have the heads swivel on the astromech minifigs, too...and back printing, of course). One of the first things I did after getting the Microfighter X-wing was order a couple white-base turntables to let the astromech head turn around (did the same with my 2nd MF X-wing, which I gave to Luke & R2-D2). Can't wait to see the updates! -

If by "horrible abomination" you mean "adorable chibi goodness", I agree. I love the AT-AT Microfighter. I've got mine rearing on its hind legs like a cute little puppy or kitten...
