  1. Yes! I mean, the Death Star Trooper torso is nice & all for the black tunic officers we see in ESB and ROTJ, without rank badges, but those ANH guys need some love. Might be fun to see a "Jabba's Palace/Rancor Pit" pair of sets with the detention block station, Leia's cell, and the trash compactor below... dianoga, Leia, Han & Luke as stormies, a regular stormie or two, a DST or two, and two black-tunic officers with rank badges. Features would include exploding communication console, exploding/'firing' wall fixtures, a knock-out turbolift door maybe, the garbage chute hatch, tons of buildable junk, moving walls... ahem. Anyway. Yeah. Probably not enough features for Lego's fun-factor, and too many 'desirable' figures... but a guy can dream (and maybe work up an MOC...)
  2. Yeah! Obi-Wan & Luke shouldn't have been in the Cantina... they and Luke's speeder should've been a separate set, maybe with the dewback and sandtrooper, maybe the vaporator, maybe something else (and/or the droids!), with Evazan & Ponda Baba replacing them in the Cantina proper, and maybe another side of the bar, Wuher, whatever. Or mix it up some other way, so you get more than just Han as a main character in the bar set proper. To add to Most Wanted... more Imperial officers. Doesn't really matter which ones, but with the new hats of course... perhaps Admiral Konstantine from Rebels, but in dark bley rather than dark tan (they really need to stop with the dark tan Imp officers!), along with the usual suspects of Ozzel, Needa, etc. I'll also second Rebels Leia and Lando. Love the McQuarrie outfit Leia has!
  3. Not surprising! Probably won't get a set out of it (unless one/some of the group actually flies one at some point); I'd rather have a new Red Squadron akin to the last one, but instead of Red 5/Red 6, it's got Red 2/Red 3 options, with Wedge & Biggs minifigs (and their respective astromechs).
  4. So after the dive, that Utapau trooper becomes an...Utapoo...trooper? Brilliant use of those weird Geonosis clones for the 'after' part of it!
  5. Doubtful they'd have a preliminary ship in wildly different colors with a wildly different design that still could clearly be called "Hammerhead". Even if the front rotated, the design of the ships don't match at all aside from the front part being somewhat "hammerhead shark"-ish, and the prelim ship is much smaller than the Hammerheads in the show, which are bigger than Corellian Corvettes I think. The temp minifigs also don't fit the bill for Rebels-stand-ins. Leia may be a short character, but in the released clip where the image of the KOTOR Hammerheads comes from, she stands taller than Ezra (which means he's really short, yet they don't give him short legs). No, if the pics are legit, the Hammerhead is probably either from Aftermath or some new TYC-esque project (which might also incorporate Aftermath elements for all we know... could be Temmin & Mr. Bones will get the animated treatment in a goofy post-Endor adventure!). Slim chance it's from Rogue One, but if it is then it's likely based on preliminary artwork which means it could wind up as inaccurate as Kylo's shuttle. Rogue One hasn't even finished filming yet! (just saw Just2good's post, so...well, there it is! A new property with adventures!) It's just called a Hammerhead-class cruiser in the KOTOR games & comics.
  6. The EU was set aside (which had nothing to do with Disney; George never considered it canon, and he was writing up treatments for VII-IX--to be made without him in charge--before the sale to Disney, so the EU was already on its way out), and the only reason the EU said that the A-wing and B-wing were developed after ANH was because they didn't appear in the films until ROTJ. Which is a real-world excuse. The new canon makes it abundantly clear that there were more Rebel ships than what we saw at Yavin in ANH--the X-wings and Y-wings there were simply the only ships on-hand in time for the battle, other fighters & capital ships were off on other missions around the galaxy. Having A-wings in the Phoenix Squadron cell years before ANH isn't a problem with continuity at all, nor is a prototype B-wing appearing 4 years before ANH. It's more that the Rebel Alliance doesn't exist at the time of Rebels; there are various rebel cells around the galaxy, only loosely affiliated and only starting to come together. By ANH, they've all merged, but still operate in separate 'fleets'; Tarkin thought, wrongly, that destroying Yavin would destroy the Alliance. It would've set 'em back, but really we only see, what, a few dozen fighters? Maybe? That's not enough to fight a galactic rebellion. The rest of the rebels were offsite, conducting raids or other operations elsewhere. Back to the sets... I don't recall Sabine flying an A-wing, but remember her in the gunner pod on the B-wing prototype. Ahsoka definitely took an A-wing on a mission, tho... while $100 seems awfully pricey for a $40 ship plus a $20-25 ship without any other build involved, it'd be pretty nice to get both ships! (hopefully the minifigs aside from Vader & Ahsoka will be nice... a gray-tunicked Imp officer, maybe, since the dark-tan uniforms were really only due to the lighting in some shots in the pilot; a Phoenix Squadron pilot or two would be terrific; no TIE pilot--nobody else needs to fly Vader's ride; maybe throw in Zeb? Commander Sato? A couple Rebel troopers with the concept-art helmets?)
  7. Saw this on Facebook about five minutes before seeing it on the morning news! Fantastic work!
  8. Gotta agree with this... the Ugnaught looks fantastic, but you've got a Han identical to the Slave I, with only a new head as improvement over the 2012 version, and a Boba that's slightly lesser than the Slave I version and not terribly different from the 2012 one either. Another Bespin Guard, a stormtrooper, Lando, Bespin Escape Leia...might've been nice to have ONE of those in there. And the play features seem a bit odd. Thanks for the review, tho! Nice to see it all.
  9. ...or Transparent Black, as when they debuted in Alien Conquest set 7067!
  10. I thought you were talking about the one mounted on the back! Hadn't noticed the one on the front side... yeah, that's weird. Ah well, that's what modding's for!
  11. ...don't forget to put black pants on him, too, if you've yet to do so! (you can barely see the pants--via being dark--below the tunics of Yularen & his subordinate there) Juno's not off-topic when we're discussing uses of the black cap in this BP... this isn't some TFn thread where "no EU discussion is allowed at all". Wish they'd introduced this last year with the SD Microfighter! Neat little BP, if not perfect (the Alliance one comes closer to perfection)
  12. Their uniforms are pretty close to how some of the Rebels looked in ROTJ, at any rate (the ones on the Falcon with Lando & Nien). Would've been nice to one of the new Tydirium helmets with the dark green band (or, to be even more different, a new version with a dark brown band!), but having the Hoth helmet in dark tan's still kinda interesting. They're also kinda dressed like the SpecForce Pathfinders in Marvel's Shattered Empire, like Kes Dameron, on a mission post-Endor.
  13. Yes. (both have had a lot of play this season... of course, the Landing Craft gets so much screen time because they don't have a model for a regular Lambda like the Tydirium yet, but with the Tydirium still in stores for a good long while I doubt TLG will make a Sentinel Landing Craft anytime soon)
  14. The droid in that pic isn't really up very high at all... his shoulders are still only partly peeking out of the socket. In the new set, that might match R4's shoulders next to the gray wedge plate, and perhaps viewed from the other side...but not compared to the dark red plates in front of him. The net result is he still looks like he's halfway out of his socket! Compared to the two recent Anakin Jedi Interceptor ships, R4's far too high.
  15. Really cool build! That'd be a nice change from the endless snowspeeders TLG produces
  16. Ugh... I'd love that, but still, ugh! Another Falcon... already got the last one, probably gonna get the new one this month or within the next year...do not need a third! Really wish Hasbro didn't have that silly contract stipulation, so Lego could just release a plastic (like in the Lego Store) "battle pack" with Nien, a new General Lando, and some Rebel troopers to crew the Falcon with the new dark-green-band helmet.
  17. Ten Numb. They haven't made a minifig of Nien Nunb yet at all... (hopefully when they do, he'll have a nice ear-hat rather than be a molded head like the new Tusken)
  18. (but, yeah, Grunberg being an X-wing pilot isn't a major spoiler or anything... he's one of JJ's best friends, and we all know how much screentime most pilots get in these movies... and like Theron Nett in the previous Micro Fighter X-wing, he doesn't even get a proper name on the box! Just "Resistance X-wing Pilot" like the other guy in the Poe's X-wing set) Re: the new sets... disappointed in the Jedi Interceptor (I like that it's a bit more compact, but dislike many of the changes, especially the droid socket, and--like many others--the lack of a Phase II Cody, even if he'd be more appropriate with a blue Interceptor). Loving the BPs overall, and Takodana looks pretty good for figures, and a nice little build. The Resistance Transport looks cool, but I'll have to wait for a nice discount before considering it...I have a stand-in Leia already that'll do in the meantime. The Droid Escape set looks fun! Great figs & nice detail pieces, even if many are probably stickers. Lastly, the Carbon Freeze Chamber looks kinda neat, but is a bit disappointing what with Boba lacking printed arms--the mindset that you have to buy a $200 set to get printed arms for the guy baffles me...to me, the draw for Slave I is the ship itself in all its glory. Still, the set looks decent, and the Ugnaught looks fantastic. With the mechanism on the right, I'm not sure it'll be able to connect to another chunk of the chamber, but they could possibly have another part that also extends into a hallway or the gantry with a Luke vs Vader duel; Luke does get dropped into the pit, after all. But such a set would likely be pretty big to be worth including Vader. We definitely need some CC set in the next year or two with a finally-updated Bespin Luke & Bespin Lando (and more CC Guards). It's been ages! (and maybe the ANH Luke hair in Dark Tan?)
  19. It's not so much having the battle-damaged stormies at all, it's that both 'regular' stormies in the pack are battle-damaged... instead of one clean, one scuffed. The First Order BP, for instance, has one heavy trooper, one plain. Having a clean trooper in the BF BP would've been nice, since it'd be a cheap way of getting detailed sparkling stormies, rather than buying a bunch of much pricier Advent Calendars, Slave Is, or Star Destroyers. It would also likely bring down the Bricklink price of the 2014 stormies overall, making that a more viable option for folks as well.
  20. Late December or January 1st, same as the other 2016 Winter sets.
  21. ...it's also a post from early August...
  22. It's possible that Kylo's got some cybernetics or scarring or something that the Vanity Fair pic was intended not to spoil (whatever it could be, it'd have to leave his hair untouched as we see his hair from behind in the trailer as he approaches Finn)... Maybe not likely, just possible.
  23. TIEs have life support of some sort, as shown in Rebels...
  24. Poe's X-wing arrived finally (backordered from S@H for a month!), and got the first 3 bags built, just the wings left pretty much. The minifigs are terrific, BB-8's adorable, and it's been a fun build so far... glad to finally have a TFA set
