  1. Same here, on the same build! So I dug up some of the black-with-face heads from my Scouts and replaced them with plain black heads, gave the face-printed black heads to that TIE pilot & others (it's a great match for Rebels, as we've seen TIE pilots without their helmets there)
  2. According to Wookieepedia, yeah, but only because of "Star Wars: Commander"... supposedly that game's canon, but it still feels a bit 'iffy' to me. I'm hoping for them to turn up in a book, a comic, Rebels, or one of the new movies. I don't really expect Phasma to turn out to be Chiss, but--holy crap--would I enjoy seeing her remove her helmet revealing blue skin & glowing red eyes!
  3. pleasebeChisspleasebeChisspleasebeChiss (because Thrawn fans will enjoy it, it'll canonize the species, and since another Phasma-esque character--Agent Kallus--was almost a Chiss himself!)
  4. Given the little bumpy-bits, the mold is clearly for a regular First Order stormie (as noted before), so Phasma's helmet is bound to be inaccurate based on that. I think it still looks great...there's a remarkable amount of detail with the printed piping between sections. From a distance, it's "meh, plain silver helmet with some black on it"...up close, tons of detail. I dig it. Bring on the cape, and (hopefully, eventually) a printed head hiding under the helm! (maybe there'll be a set later akin to the Rebels sets with Sabine and/or Kallus, where she'll be packed with a head & hair instead of helmet)
  5. I put together some of the parts I suggested for Carth & snapped a pic, posting it in the "Purist SW" thread over in the Minifig Customisation Workshop.
  6. In response to a question in the SW section about parts for Carth Onasi, I realized I had all the parts I suggested so I tried throwing 'em together... the torso may not be ideal, and I'm still flip-flopping on the hair, but overall I think it works pretty well. I couldn't resist making a Brask, from the upcoming mobile game "SW: Uprising" (I didn't have a Temple of Doom figure whose dark red torso would offer a decent printed purist option, but until I can print a decal or get one of those I figured this'll do)
  7. Here's a minor Nahdar Vebb update with new printed legs (I think I mentioned it earlier, but hadn't taken a pic yet)
  8. Well, they're twins... I figured maybe Ninjago would have some good options, but as the series progressed Zane (the white one) displayed more android bits and wasn't as 'uniform' with the rest, but one of their first outfits have matching white & black torsos that could work. There are probably decent matching legs (beyond plain white or black) too. And matching heads should be simple enough, some plain, stern, no-stubble heads, and either regular male short hair or the combed-back or combed-side-part hair in reddish brown would probably be best, as they have such short hair. I'm not sure if there are any decent fleshie half-masked/cyborg heads for the white one after he's injured, but cyborg arms are easy enough to throw on there with silver or pearl dark gray arms.
  9. This. The helmet mold's primary use is likely to be regular First Order stormtroopers, on which the longer 'chin' better fits... but for Phasma, who likely won't appear in nearly as many sets, they just printed a line to indicate the shorter 'chin' her helmet sports. At least, that's how I'm interpreting it right now.
  10. I'm not sure they'll make one so soon after the Inquisitor's (which is a different style, I know)... also, a Rebels-style Vader will pretty much be "ANH-style Vader". They'd likely use the new Final Duel helmet rather than create another top for the chin-piece (cool as it might be, I'd rather see something else get a new mold in its place), but with dark red (or dark brownish) lenses printed/painted on, if possible... the torso print may be ever-so-slightly cartoony (like with the Rebels Stormtroopers' curved belts), but still perfectly serviceable as ANH Vader, surcoat overlapping his upper-chest armor. It's a bummer that now there's so much SW content coming out, certain properties won't get the representation we want for 'em--and especially not as many minifigs as we'd like for 'em, either, thanks in part to whatever "action figure" contracts are in place. Sato, 2 new Inquisitors, Phoenix Squadron pilots, new-style Sabine, Rex, Gregor, Wolffe, the Ithorian bartender, Tarkin, Vader, Ahsoka, Bail, "R4"-conehead Imperial astromechs, Imp-deco Chopper, Cadet Ezra and/or Zare Leonis, Lando, W1-1E, Azmorigan & his guards, Vizago & his droids, Hondo Ohnaka, etc...
  11. I don't know if there's any comprehensive list, but you can bounce around Wookieepedia and find all kinds of stuff... you can look up various starship classes, and from there find info on where they appeared, who flew them, find pics of various types...or you can look up specific stories and try for those. Some of the better-known ships: Mynock Wild Karrde Jade Shadow Jade Sabre Lady Luck Ebon Hawk Redshifter Hound's Tooth IG-2000 Slave II Mist Hunter Uhumele Last Resort ...etc.
  12. It's most likely this piece... seems like more rows of studs beneath the pieces overlapping it. And it's available in dark-bley already.
  13. Head & hair are easiest: Dastan's head and either dark brown or reddish brown short tousled hair with side part, or same colors for the combed front-to-rear hair (I prefer the tousled, since he's got those stray strands that hang over his forehead and the tousled fits that a bit better...but otherwise his hair is pretty much combed back) For legs, CMF Musketeer's would work fine (due to being primarily black with reddish-brown kneepads) Torso's trickiest... some torso in Dark Orange probably would be best, tho there might be some skin showing on 'em. The back of Skiff Guard Lando, Bifur from the Hobbit (he's got that big furry collar, but it's printed very pixelated/blocky so it might pass as non-fur), one of the torsos from the Orient Adventurers, ROTS Nute Gunray, Captain Panaka... some would also need arm-swaps, too, to get dark orange arms.
  14. ...most likely true. Also, off-topic, I'm reading "Ringworld" for the first time, and just today at lunch got to the point where Speaker mentions the Kdapt-Preacher heresy.
  15. Neat, now we know (many of) the pieces required to make Rey's speeder! I like the look of BB-8, too.
  16. Yeah, it'd be pretty fantastic to get Battlefront Battle Packs for any OT-themed BPs in the next couple years... I'd love an Ishi Tib Rebel soldier, Sullustan (now that's an ear-sporting headgear I wanna see!), various soldiers with jetpacks, rocket launchers (I saw so many nice, simple bazookas in the Battle Pack contest, it'd be great to see 'em officially!), etc.
  17. Ah! Duh. Right... ...and a 2x2 jumper wouldn't, either. Hrmm... maybe 2 1x2 jumpers, parallel to the length of the 2x3 plate, with the clear round brick stuck in the middle of the forward jumper?
  18. Hard to choose! #2 #22 ...tho I'd gladly buy many of the others--some multiple times--if they were real sets!
  19. I wouldn't mind if they changed the Rodian head mold... it always feels too "low" for my taste--which is great for Wald, but not so much for Greedo and others who have a neck. I tend to pop the head up a little bit...from the front, the skinny neck post isn't so visible and it gives them a bit of a better look. But I'd also be fine with seeing more colors from 'em (dark green, olive green).
  20. Looks like a 2x2 dark bley plate, with a 1x1 round trans-clear brick stuck underneath in the center for support. Am I close?
  21. First Order. "New Order" was the Empire... "the Emperor's New Order" and all that. But yeah!
  22. Get a mod to change the title! This should be a Category B entry, if I read things correctly... (C is for creatures!) Looks amazing! Nice minifigs, too, tho I hate how the comic artists depicted Talon & Mara (totally different from my mental images of them based on the books, or by the WEG RPG artists)
  23. Battle-scene Padme was just Padme's head on Panaka's/Flash Speeder Security Officer's body, nothing new there (she's again in the same outfit at the start of the AOTC segment). It really ripped on TPM & AOTC! And lots of 'em were valid points, too I really don't mind non-chrome R2. His head was never chrome in the films to begin with, more 'brushed steel'; only Kenner & other merchandise gave him a chrome noggin. TPM 3PO looked great tho... I worry the print on the head might be too tricky for Legos' machines, tho. We'll probably find out eventually! Also liked Maul's extended saber hilt--wish they'd make that element! The Mystery Guy who abducts R2 sure looks like Lando... Anyhoo... I've seen some folks calling the Phasma leak 'fake' around the web, usually calling out non-issues like the lack of a cape or the guy's lack of knowledge about who/what Phasma is on his point about the minifig, or lack of detail, but it seems comparable to what details we see in the teasers & whatnot (Phasma's armor looks a bit fancier than, say, Finn's, but that's primarily due to the chrome), and obviously a leaked figure doesn't mean it'd absolutely have all accessories with it. The alternative is someone is a big enough fan to customize that figure--including a custom helmet sculpt--but not big enough to know the character's name, gender, or that she's not a clone. Here's a direct link to the DM one posted on HothBricks
  24. This is all officially-released info! Well, not that Snoke is leader of the First Order, that's just speculation (since his voice sounds more like he'd be on the villains' side in the first teaser).
