Guess it depends on how long Rebels runs! And/or if the Ghost should appear in Rogue One or the Han Solo film, even with only Hera onboard (she DID have it before recruiting Kanan, after all, so it could be plausible in the Han film).

That's the one! Not many choices for ships left in TFA really, which is disappointing... so if they made the Quadjumper (which is a cool-looking ship, even if it literally never got off the ground in the film) it'd hopefully have a nice array of minifigs. Since we don't really get a decent look at the ship Finn was boarding before the attack on Takodana, there's little chance of getting a set of it, but putting Sidon Ithano & Quiggold with the Quadjumper might be fun, since other Jakku types would be pretty underwhelming as they're filthy scavengers or robed/masked "not quite Tuskens"... I suppose Sarco Plank and Constable Zuvio wouldn't be terrible (Zuvio got two Hasbro figures, and Sarco at least appears in a Luke book so you could have him fight Yavin Luke, if we ever get one without the medal). Or go the T-16 Skyhopper route and just create a grungy tug driver/smuggler-looking dude to pilot the ship and lament its loss when Finn & Rey get it blown up by the First Order. Hopefully VIII (and Rogue One, naturally) will introduce a lot more ships for even more set potential.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 Rumors and Discussion
Venkefedo replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Because he's a Lego version of Mr. Bump! -
I'm fine with them if they look cool, too, but would prefer if they were based on existing properties (like Old Republic in addition to the films, TCW, Rebels, maybe other Legends material)... I like the prelim of the Scavenger, but not so much the "Sithy Grievous Fighter". I wouldn't even mind another TYC set, tho I'm not sure what it could be besides Ackbar's old ship... Provided they put "OT-era Jek-14" in it. He looked really cool.
-
While it's non-canon to SW, it's still part of their own IP so they don't want it shown before they're ready... like Nexo Knights (which leaked early of course, but then so did the mockups of the two sets we know about for this new show)
-
I liked the look of the Star Scavenger/"hammerhead" ship, but...yeah, I don't need those at the expense of more Lego SW sets based on actual, existing content. If they're gonna do something non-canon, why not tackle something from Legends? A Skipray Blastboat with an official Mara Jade! A Sith Interceptor with Darth Malak, Darth Sion, & a shiny silver KOTOR-era Sith Trooper! At least TYC gave us a Lego E-wing, basically, with the first Jek-14 set... the second one (which I got at a deep discount) was kind of a neat ship, but felt like a mishmash of Jedi Starfighter & ARC-170 parts, and was mostly attractive for the minifigs & as a parts pack. I have little doubt we'll get some fun figures in these, if not, perhaps, as "multipurpose" as the ones in the 2nd Jek set (the Ithorian Jedi is basically Momaw Nadon from the cantina, the protocol droid's useful for the Sandcrawler or even the Death Star, and the astromech is kind of an R2-B1 stand-in, with tan instead of yellow). And the Eclipse ship will at least be cheaper than the Jek-14 sets, tho I can't say the same about the Star Scavenger. But I'd rather have a Dagobah Training set, or another Bespin set or two with Lando & Bespin Luke & a new Leia in gown and/or escape jumpsuit and some more Ugnaughts & Wing Guards, and a Cloud Car with 2 pilots & one of the heroes. Lots of other possible sets we could get instead of those from the new show, too...

...all I see are MOCs with "Teedo" wearing an A-wing helmet.
-
That interior's great! Looks like it could fit right into the Scarlet Monastery in World of Warcraft!
-
Well, close... the scene was long & pretty raw, and basically terrible all around. You can check the full thing out here...it's pretty obvious why it was cut. All that remains is the dead tauntaun Han looks at when he's about to head out for Luke, and maybe a glimpse of the warning door for a second, if that.

It's still in stock in the US. I don't expect it'll retired until at least this summer. -
The Teedos are scavengers, too, so it's possible they'd trade at Niima Outpost as well. But yeah, getting Unkar's kiosk would be awesome. And a few printed round 1x1 tiles with "portions" on 'em. At least the two scenes are roughly related, just broadening them out. Not much different than putting Luke's landspeeder and a dewback in the Cantina set with Han & Greedo... it'd make more sense to have Ponda Baba & Evazan in there, since that whole encounter happens before Luke & Ben meet Han, and before Greedo confronts Han.

I wouldn't mind having one (or two, or three) for non-"ground crew" uniforms, the hats, and the heads (plop one on an OT Imperial body, it's great!), but it's not something I'll be racing out to TRU at opening on the promo weekend to make sure I get. (I wish my local TRUs had tons of the 3PO promos... I only made it out to a couple, but neither had any 3POs out on the pegs...maybe General Generic will be a little easier to acquire on his own since he's really not fancy at all--a Hux-style uniform sans-coat would make him much more appealing for making a Hux without a coat, but this guy? Not terribly appealing as a 'character')
-
"Underwhelmed" is an accurate term for it... provided the First Order doesn't change their entire uniform design in VIII, we might see a new Hux figure in a set (either a later TFA or an VIII set) without his overcoat printed on, and his uniform is a little more involved than this rather general General. And it's not terribly distinct from the also-bland officer in the battle pack, who's just an exceedingly-common FO crewman with a slightly different hat (while Hux has this exact same hat and barely wears it in the film) Really he seems like he should be set-filler, not an incentive polybag. Maybe he'll just be a TRU "spend $40 on SW Lego, get General Generic!" promo that some stores will sell for $5 solo rather than a S@H/Lego Store "gift with $75 purchase" thing. As a May the 4th figure he'd be exceptionally boring.
-
You mean the First Order General? That isn't Hux... I mean, Hux is a First Order General, but probably not the only one. The polybag one has a different uniform than what's visible under the Hux minifig's coat, and an older-looking head.

It's tricky, since Luke's robes are a bit unusual... they're mostly white (or slightly off-white) with some tan/dark-tan strips over the front, so using white arms seems the best bet. For torsos, it's trickier... there's a Sensei Wu from Ninjago with a tan 'vest' over his white shirt, but there's that yellow neck area to deal with (and the symbols, of course). That's the closest I can think of short of just using an AOTC Obi-Wan torso (all-tan, as opposed to the others with darker undershirts). White legs (maybe the ones from the Wu figure I mentioned), or another way to go is maybe use TCW Mace Windu's torso (not the arms) and legs (which have dark tan robes on white legs), but again you've got the neck area...and adding an extra beard to hide it would probably be overkill. For the head, there's Old Obi-Wan or Dori the dwarf from The Hobbit that look kinda decent, maybe Theoden (tho his beard's more of a goatee)... then the tousled mid-length dark tan hair, or a dark bley hood, and a dark bley cape. One light flesh hand, one dark bley hand... -

That's another reason I wish the Lego group would quit making the dark-tan Imperials in the Rebels sets... we need more dark bley caps! I snagged one on Bricklink for $2 a couple months ago...so one officer at least has a nice hat. -
I was puzzled by that, too, mostly with the fact it pivots down like a Murphy bed...and realized then it's meant to be the beds in the holding cell Han, Leia, and Chewie were put in. It's supposed to be the bed that pops (horizontally) out of the wall when Leia activates it after they bring in post-torture Han.

Yes, Maul survived Season 5 of TCW, because Palpatine had plans for him... we see those plans in Dark Horse's "Son of Dathomir" comic miniseries, the first of the canon comics (and last new project from Dark Horse on their SW contract). He was used as bait to lure Mother Talzin to the physical realm once more, so she could be killed... and that happened, but Maul's Mando allies managed to spirit him away from the scene. Not sure that's Plo's voice. Unless he learned how to become one with the Force like Yoda & Obi-Wan, and managed it just before exploding in ROTS, he's gone. Mandos, holocrons, TIE bombers, Inquisitors, Jedi Temple Guards without hoods, that tri-saber... lots of good stuff in there. More new ships. Yeah, would be nice to get some sets outta this.
-
It'd be a crime if his helmet weren't included (or if he weren't, period!)... but what I'm really kinda desperately hoping for is that the clones in the set will finally have a nice medium dark flesh/medium nougat skin tone. If they're still the same light flesh as always, and thus lighter-skinned than Kanan, that'll be very disappointing. They should probably be darker than him, or at LEAST the same skin tone as his. It'll also be interesting to see the arms used... will Rex have black sleeves with skin below? Or upper arms black, lower white? Wolffe's upper dark bley & lower white? Or will they be single-color?
-
...what bushes? You mean the scrap of land there? Why would Robonino, a Clone Wars character who has no figure and isn't in the film, appear in that set? We can reasonably assume the minifigs are the flametrooper, Poe, Lor San Tekka (or a random villager), and BB-8. There's no Robonino-looking prelim minifig in the window on the left, so whatever that gray blob with the watermark overlapping it is, it's not Robonino.

We know it's from some new Lego "adventures" property... I think we're only still guessing it's based on Aftermath, and that's mostly because of the kid (Temmin "Snap" Wexley, perhaps) and the Battle Droid (Mr. Bones, perhaps). Aftermath might feature "acolytes of the Beyond", but they weren't using lightsabers...just purchasing a supposed Vader saber in order to destroy it to reunite it with its master in death.

$32.99 is hardly a low price for a Microfighter!
-
I like the mini spider droid (that rapier antenna! And the shooter for the front cannon!), and Yoda of course since I've still never managed to get one (outside of a pen or keychain, I think), but otherwise there's no real draw for me. The big spider droid tank looks kinda neat, but has never been an appealing vehicle/droid for me, so it'd just be a parts pack, and the BDs and Kashyyyk Trooper are boring as can be.

Nice review! Like others, I'll be getting it for parts & figures more than the bike itself (the crates are nice, but better for other uses than the "Spark of Rebellion" crates they stole with the Imperial bikes) I've already built DarthTwoShedsJackson's Kanan bike build. Much more to scale. There are other similar MOC builds out there that have some good points, too, so it'll be fun tweaking it over time. Kind of a shame that they keep making the bikes so big! Wish they'd done something different for the coloring of the combat driver... maybe pearl dark grey for the suit, with regular dark bley for the hands, helmet, head, and chest armor print. The figure looks good, but changing the colors would free 'em up to maybe revise the AT-DP Driver minifig with a light bley helmet & light bley body, with dark bley hands & armor print & the same white head they already used. That'd be a bit more screen-accurate, IMO.

Agreed. There are fighters & speeders from SWTOR, from all kinds of comics, from the Microseries (Asajj's fan-blade fighter, for instance, tricky tho it might be), from the books (Skipray Blastboat!), games (Moldy Crow, Ebon Hawk)... I do liked the "Hammerhead" ship, it kinda looks like a downsized SWTOR Jedi Defender-class ship (which I sadly skipped) in CIS colors, and reminds me a bit of the HH-87 Starhopper from TCW (and Aftermath), in that it's a smaller ship not clearly Alliance/Imp/Republic/CIS, so it can be used for anything/anyone. But that other one, the Imperial Huntship, looks weird. Interesting ship design, very sci-fi, but a little too 'off' for SW, IMO, not when there are so many other vehicles they could make. It's almost like a "what would Grievous' starfighter evolve into?" MOC idea. Curious what the dark-side minifig character will be... an Inquisitor? A Sith from SWTOR?
