  1. The lack of a droid head is the most disappointing part for me... whether a BB-8 head in another deco (to represent a BB-8-style droid or a mini R2, whichever) or an R5 cone or R2 round head with brand-new deco ala the OT X-wing MF, either would've worked... we know some of the new X-wings have OT-esque astromechs including R5s, R6s (formerly EU-only), and even the new R0s (cones between squat R5s and tall OT R4s). The latter would require a new element, tho... Would love to get an official Lego "R6" in one of the upcoming sets in the next year or two, tho...
  2. If they were on the Reddit thing, they seem to be gone now. I think all people were asking for is search terms to use (LMGTFY is really only useful when someone's being too lazy to use the obvious search terms... like if someone asked "Who is Wedge Antilles?", you might LMGTFY them... but "where are the microfighter box pics?" isn't the same)...not so much "can you post a direct link?" which most know is against the rules (not really sure if "search for <these words>" would be). Clearly people have tried looking them up. I know I did! Various search terms, even checking that Reddit link which had a handy all-in-one collection of all the images--except all the images are now 404'd--but the only new MFs to pop in any of the terms I tried were the 4 Rebels sets.
  3. The regular Wookiees in the Wookiee Gunship set also have arm printing (their left arms, as opposed to Wullffwarro's right arm)
  4. I don't think it'd be "wrong" to include OT-style stormies in Rebels sets at all... aside from the stormies & TIE pilots, Rebels minifigs are pretty much styled like movie-based minifigs, unlike TCW with their big-eye faces. That was always my biggest sticking point with the Rebels-style stormies, because Kanan, Ezra, Hera, etc can all hang out with Luke, Han, Leia, Vader, etc and look just fine, but the stormies meet up with the OT stormies and they clash a bit. Same with the Rebels Wookiees, too...slightly cartoonier than Chewie & Tarfful (at least, far as I can tell... the Rebels ones seem to have taller eyes, lending 'em that cartoonier aspect) I love the detail on the Rebels stormies, but it really was unnecessary to do up new torso, leg, and helmet markings with cartoonier curves & whatever, when they were also making a slick new OT stormie stuck in pricier sets. People want LOTS of stormies...confining 'em to $100+ sets (aside from the Advent Calendar) is pretty silly of TLG to do.
  5. Considering it's supposed to be about the theft of the first Death Star's plans, it'd make sense the main Rebel base would already be on Yavin IV... Great MOC! Fun figs!
  6. Luke wouldn't have been a stormtrooper... the Academies train people for all sorts of roles. Some, presumably, not even military (Minister Tua attended the Academy, after all, and she was a civilian government official) The one being discussed recently is printed right on the polybag! It was first discovered from the talking toys & masks last month, tho... Would be nice if it had a helmet, but if it's not pictured, it probably isn't there.
  7. ...there's also another figure that would probably make a lot of sense with that TIE... No coincidence! Just a nod to ANH. The question is whether "FN-2187" is the only name he's ever known, or if he comes up with "Finn" just to avoid using his real name that the First Order might be broadcasting to local law enforcement.
  8. I think people would've been a lot happier if there was only one battle-damaged one (and one clean one) in the set... the current clean stormies are restricted to mostly expensive sets, and while in BATTLE they may get scuffed up, in formation greeting the arrival of the Emperor they should be sparkling. The BP isn't so bad if you've already bought a dozen 75055 and 75060, or cleaned out your local Lego Store or Target of 2015 Advent Calendars, but if not? Kind of a bummer not to be able to get a cheap clean one. Clean stormtroopers shouldn't be "incentive" inclusions in high-priced sets...no army-builder should. And not everyone likes the frowny-face Rebels stormies.
  9. Pittpenguin was referring to the Shadows of the Empire Coruscant Guard, which the EU eventually linked to the Shocktroopers as they started calling Fox/Thire/etc's red-marked clones both Shocktroopers and Coruscant Guard... by the time of the OT, the Guard's armor had changed from the standard trooper-armor of the Stormtrooper Corps into the suits Luke & Lando wear for their infiltration mission. But as SOTE is non-canon, so is its OT depiction of "Coruscant Guards". No electrostaves for Battlefront's OT-era Shockies!
  10. Great job! Looks great with the mini X-wings, too! They are! Comes with a couple Resistance troopers with the flip-up helmets like the 6" Black Series Resistance Trooper has, plus a certain coffee-loving Mon Calamari and General Organa herself.
  11. You misunderstand; I wasn't suggesting that the same Poe from the big set could appear here... I was suggesting a new Poe, the one from the beginning of the film wearing the jacket that Finn later acquires. That's the one who has the blue & white helmet, according to the various toys we've seen (and we know Poe's on or heading to Jakku at the start of the film, since the epilogue from "Moving Target" mentions it). Unless they do a Finalizer set (from when he's captured) or a Raid set from the opening (all can be gleaned from the trailers & Behind The Scenes video), there's really nowhere logical to place a "non-pilot outfit Poe" figure...but a Microfighter would fit the bill nicely.
  12. I'd say price it out on Bricklink (with shipping) first, then decide if you'll support the markup of the mom-n-pop shop, or support a BL shop!
  13. Agreed, I'd rather have the new Inquisitors & Ahsoka as well. They've already got the saber hilt element for the Inquisitors!
  14. There are three options for new pilots I can see, if they don't just use the generic pilot from the Poe set: Greg Grunberg's pilot character thought to be named "Gorwyn" (no jokes about his appearance, please--they've already been made ten thousand times), the Abednedo pilot Ello Asty, or--if they go more of a "Han in the Falcon, Hera in the Ghost" route, Poe himself with a new helmet, in his jacket rather than his flight suit. Some Hasbro figures have him in that outfit with that helmet, intended to pair with a blue & white X-wing. If they go the generic route, I hope the helmet is unique at least.
  15. It might be nice if they threw that Vader into a Rebels set, with dark-red (or dark-brown, perhaps, given the way Lego colors work) eyes on the helmet. They'd probably also tweak the torso print a bit, as this is ANH-esque Vader...so his surcoat would be over his upper-chest armor, not under it as the 75093 Vader has it. The legs could be reused as-is, they just need to line up the surcoat lines again on the torso. Easy Peazy.
  16. Yeah, but you get an extra neck piece for it, so you can use it to make a Kingdom Come Bruce Wayne figure! I really like the new helmet...the old one had a certain charm, but the new one's great! If you're not keen on the build or other minifigs in the Final Duel set, waiting's probably the right move. A new TIE Advanced would certainly be welcome, even so close to the Inquisitor's prototype version.
  17. Yep, along with the 2 Battlefront-themed BPs. January!
  18. But they do fold out a bit, into the V-shape we saw in the 2nd teaser, unless I'm misunderstanding you. When you see the shuttle land right after the Luke/R2 scene, at 1:42, you see the wings finishing the transition from their "V" position to upright.
  19. ...he has more than one X-wing! And his other helmet matches the other fighter. (ignore the armor part; that's just the "Armor Up" series gimmick; the helmet atop it, tho, is featured with multiple Poe figures)
  20. It's Lando. The torso print was seen in the first episode, and it's his Rebel uniform. He was revealed in the episode that aired several days ago. GFFA isn't used as an acronym in the books, it's used by the fans! That won't be what he looks like in the film anyway... A pic leaked a couple months ago. He has what appears to be a black hooded cape on in the second teaser, but his shirt is white/light-tan or something, based on the arm reaching to R2.
  21. First, awesome figures! They look great. Second, the no-breathmask Cad Bane can be tough to find cheap (might be cheaper overall to get the whole figure rathe than just the head; the torso's useful enough to warrant it!)... however, the Battlefront-themed Rebels battle pack due in January has a Duros head in it, and should be a lot cheaper to acquire overall!
  22. I've also seen the jacketless figure that's packed with a Jakku speeder from Hasbro... like I said, it's probably just his underclothes beneath his stormie armor. Printing might give it some detail, maybe some sand (like the Hasbro figure) but it's just a plain long-sleeve shirt & plain pants, so it's really not necessary. Never? That's odd. It's a pretty common thing, especially after the fall of the New Republic during the New Jedi Order series, and how they reorganized as the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances (commonly called the "Galactic Alliance" for short...but really named that big name because of the initials GFFA, in honor of "galaxy far, far away", which is how fans refer to the Star Wars galaxy: GFFA) I liked the art in Dark Empire, but that story was ridiculous and I never like Luke going to the dark side. Kinda flew in the face of the ROTJ ending. Not sure where you're getting your rumors, but why would Finn have a second one in the film? He's a soldier, not a Jedi, and he's only carrying the Skywalker saber for awhile. None of the new heroes have their own saber in the film. Finn carries a blaster and the Skywalker saber (a MacGuffin in the film), Rey has her staff which is a pretty plain thing, cheap & low-maintenance which suits life on Jakku. Of course, the Skywalker saber has been known to change hands...
  23. That's not what 'balance to the Force' ever meant (particularly because "Obi-Wan & Yoda, Vader & Palpatine" was never the sum total of all the Force users in the galaxy, light or dark. Balance, according to George, meant destroying the Sith. The old EU explained it a little more in that the Sith had attempted something so abhorrent that the Force was knocked out of balance, and reacted by creating Anakin to restore it. We have no real official explanation now in the new canon, but it's still a Jedi prophecy about the Sith. And Luke won't go dark...that part of the EU is, thankfully, forever dead. ...black robes? Kylo wears black robes. Finn wears a black stormtrooper suit beneath his armor, which may even be what he's wearing in his current minifig--just with Poe's jacket on top. If you want him before he dons the jacket, just throw his head on a plain black torso w/ black arms. If you want him as a stormtrooper, throw his head on an FO stormie body. Simple! I think those suggesting Luke as a May the 4th figure might be onto something. He might change outfits by the time of VIII (one would hope so! Unless GFFA garments are even more advanced than Back to the Future 2 "2015" clothes and can self-clean in addition to self-dry...) Given the rumors about his involvement in the film, there probably isn't a good 'set' that'd make sense for him, tho the environment he's in would look great as an MOC...but they could always throw him in something else, like Cracken in the A-wing set or whatever.
  24. In addition to what TheAmazingDarkKnight already said, this isn't really true... George had an idea he mentioned to Kasdan, that the end of the film would've happened as normal--the duel, Palpatine & the lightning, etc--but then when Anakin died, Luke would put on the helmet and say "I'm Vader now" and that he'd head off to destroy the Alliance...an idea Kasdan loved, even tho it made no sense and George knew it was too dark to ever pull off. I don't know that the idea was ever put into any draft of ROTJ...and had it made it in there, SW probably wouldn't be as beloved as it is today. Such a bleak, depressing ending to the series would've been more in line with the kind of '70s films that George was reacting against when he created Star Wars.
  25. ...because January sets are probably revealed before the movie even comes out, and Luke's being kept under wraps until the film most likely, because by most rumored accounts,
