  1. Every time a hater hates, I want to buy another one of these sets. šŸ–¤šŸ¤Žā¤ļøšŸ§”šŸ’›šŸ’ššŸ’™šŸ’œšŸ’™šŸ¤šŸ’–
  2. Pretty sure the world you live in is still in the Stone Age
  3. Which is odd, because you’re talking rubbish, and stating lies.
  4. Wow. Not cool. Mods? Your post is wrong, offensive and entirely inappropriate in a number of ways. This is not okay. And, fwiw this sort of anachronistic judgemental bile is exactly why this set is so important.
  5. Yeah, I think it passes ;) My hope is that the move to have themes including animals persists, and the current slew of underused moulds / animals might be revisited. For example, if we had a Ranger subtheme or something based in North America / Europe we could repurpose the stag, the otter, the hare, the eagle and then add say a squirrel or beaver or something else as a new mould. I hope for this often. Lol šŸ¦ŒšŸ¦¦šŸ‡šŸ¦…šŸæšŸ¦«
  6. I think if Radagast makes a return that the mould for the hare in Harry Potter would be used for his sleigh-pullers. leaving aside the species complexity and common name confusion over ā€˜deer’ - the stag introduced as a patronus in HP, then I’m the elf clubhouse is kinda generic, almost a red deer to my Scottish mind. Though @Roebuck deftly describes it as an ā€˜American Reindeer’, in that it’s more of a made up idea of a deer. In any event - it’s nothing like an actual reindeer / caribou. Seems like there is a reasonable chance the stag mould gets re-used, and I would also think it might appear without antlers as a doe too (at least for HP patronus reasons).
  7. Depends what kind of colour you’re looking for, as there are three used as flesh tone for people of colour in Lego. They are rare, and females especially so - but worth checking out some of this licensed themes like Harry Potter and Jurassic World, as well as Superheroes.
  8. I meant the lack of the rabbit *in brown* Also ā€˜ a few white bunnies in a joblot...’ sounds slightly sinister
  9. The lack of squirrel, pigeon, crow, and also rabbit & small bird in brown is bizarre at this stage.
  10. *sighs again in gay*
  11. Lol, strange direction to go ...
  12. It’s so hard to predict what animals will show up where (which is part of the fun šŸ™ƒ) ... yes to all of these, but I think the ā€˜pot whale’ is least likely (sperm whale In English, cachalot in french is the nicest name I think ;) )
  13. Right? It’s easy to miss cool new parts with themes you don’t follow! And, with how B&P works, it’s even harder to find them
  14. I think Friends and Harry Potter at least
  15. Think you’re late to the party with those pieces, they’ve already been in a few sets.
  16. Preach. I think that sometimes an unwillingness to engage with some of *those* comments and commentators with any seriousness is one of the only things to do. I’m aware I can scoff and ridicule, but really, what else do you meet this with? Rational arguments don’t work against irrational people, and no one should have to justify their very existence. Those of us who have lived through it to be spiky and unwilling to take this megablocks usually have plenty reason for doing so; but one of the biggest is wanting to make it better for those who come after. I would say though that -in general- I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the nature of the discussions on Eurobricks on this set, especially given some of the stuff I’ve seen in the past to anyone suggesting it might be a good idea to increase or balance representation of gender or people of colour.
  17. Yes but their G/god(s) made them do it, apparently. Isn’t it spelled ā€˜phallacies’?
  18. Although racism, prejudice and oppression against people of colour most certainly is not. BLM is a beacon on this around the world, and some countries’ media and social reach us much larger than others, so to my mind this is not primarily a US issue, and what also what happens there matters everywhere. Big shout out to the many people being honest, open and patient in responding on this thread and elsewhere. It’s important to so many others who don’t post or can’t be as open.
  19. It’s all so ... exhausting. In some ways I have more respect for the openly bigoted people, than those who try and use *every* *other* *whateboutery* argument that just-so-happens to justify their bigotry. I appreciate you’re being smart and all, but we see you. Human Rights and Equality should not be political. They are not political. Yet they are. Again, representation matters. Bravo, Lego, this set is both a joy and a milestone.
  20. Weirdos? Evidently. Forward, more inclusively. Lol - what do you think they’re producing with these decisions? Mind altering drugs? Weapons of mass destruction?
  21. Hear hear. That on a road plate would be fantastic
  22. The three colours on the trans flag represent different things. The hairpieces chosen reflect this. Similarly the two figures representing people of colour have hairpieces in keeping. pink = feminine white = non binary / neutral blue = masculine that said - I’m sure we all have a broader understanding of how almost every hair piece can be used across genders and race. Big lols thinking this won’t be popular and sell well.
  23. Always fun to be used to justify the other side. GB and Germany got their own CMF series. Many national, regional or cultural archetypes have shown up in CMFs and elsewhere. There is a whole subtheme of Lunar New Year sets which we know is representative of and targeted for East Asian audiences. As others have stated, queer representation in sets might be hard to get right, or easy to discount. Lastly, ā€˜children and family’ includes queer children, LGBTQ+ families, and people who have family who are LGBTQ+ representation matters. If it doesn’t matter to you, chances are, you’re already well represented.
  24. None of these sets have helicopters, people should be more realistic!
  25. The line can always move.
