  1. So, I recently got the new ‘retriever’ 🦮 dog figures, for my extensive pack of hounds. Whilst I love them, and they look great against a Minifigure, they are kinda ‘small’ by comparison to many of the other dogs. Don’t get me wrong, it’s no big deal, and on everything (but especially animals) accurate proportions are sacrificed in the world of Lego ... just, it’s noticeable to me. In reality it’s probably more like the smaller dogs (french bulldog, dachshund, terrier) are ‘too big’, I guess.
  2. for sure. But I guess they have avoided poachers (and trophy hunters) for good reason. We can always make our own. The good thing about the animals being the threat is - MORE ANIMALZ! have you even ever met a monkey? Sh*t's gonna happen.
  3. A meerkat and a standard snake would fit just fine 😉 Also begs the question who/what is the dangerous animal in the biggest set? Or maybe it breaks the theme. Doesn’t the smallest set just have two monkeys and no antagonist animal in the prelims? I take it back - there’s a scorpion. Aaaaaand I just noticed there’s a poop piece in the small set. Monkeys are always throwing it, right enough 😂
  4. I mean, probably. Monkygeddon approaches. Everyone loves a monkey tbf. We don’t yet know that there isn’t an as-yet-unseen new animal mould, of course. The biggest set might have surprises.
  5. Let’s be honest, we both hope it’s a totally new critter 🤗 maybe a meerkat. Or a recoloured flamingo. Or half a dozen goats...
  6. Since the 🐒🐒 already come in the smallest proper set, I think it would be a likely nod to another critter being in the polybag 🤞🏽
  7. Pretty sure they’re supposed to be crocagator eggs ;)
  8. There goes your street cred So, pretty sure the small elephant is a stand in for another small elephant - would be odd to make a very blue baby with a ‘natural coloured’ adult. Also - am so glad they made it a proper African elephant! There is an outside chance that the small elephant is a stand in for something entirely new - but that seems unlikely at this stage. my money is still on that puma being a male lion, and the positioning of the non-Mohawk-cat behind the snake seems to make it pretty likely that it is a stand-in for a lion cub, since it would need ‘rescued’ from the snake. Again there is an outside chance that the non-Mohawk-cat is a stand in for something else, like a meerkat (cat/kat- geddit?), but again that seems unlikely at this stage. Lasstly, I’m a liiiiiiiittle troubled at the reptiles seem to be the menacing bad guys, but I’m prepared to let it slide because - ANiMaLs! And I blame Chima for setting that precedent.
  9. think they've mostly been removed
  10. guess they thought the Monkie Kid mohawk cat, and Vidiyo's mohawk punk pirate and shark were enough for one year
  11. @DBlegonerd7 preliminary pics, so don’t think you should make any assumptions what those animals represent - though why they would use a puma and a cat UNLESS they are stand-ins for something new is beyond me ...
  12. I caught it. Looks like a new colour (who knows how realistic!) of the NEW stingray mould, not the old ‘manta’. Will be great to get some more underwater stuff, however fanciful
  13. Sooooo the preliminary images from the retail catalogue have leaked. The new monkey definitely seems to be more monkey than chimp, and prelim images suggest it comes in at least two colour variants. Large snake from HP CMF also features, and yes, a cat. Though I really can’t see that being anything other than a stand-in It always amazes me just *how* preliminary and rough these images are.
  14. But then, none of those were themes that majored on being about ‘wildlife’. So I live in hope. I also think it’s pretty likely we get a new colour or print for the croc.
  15. I can’t see that being the case. Presume the cat is either a stand in for a new-mould cub, or it’s a ‘character’ in the set. Maybe another Mohawk one 😂 hope that the chimp moulds are repurposable as orangutans or baby gorillas maybe with colour/print variant. Will be interesting to see how the elephants are realised. I’d love one with articulation on head, trunk and legs - akin to the large dinosaurs - but that may be wishful thinking
  16. I feel like this theme is introducing some much needed animal archetypes into modern Lego City (🐘🐵🦁) - I really didn’t expect the baby versions though. And I’m wondering if we will see a ‘wildcard’ new animal too - such as a meerkat or giraffe.
  17. Thanks. This is great news. lots of new moulds then. Think we can assume the ‘large feline’ will be new if it’s preliminary - so I think maned lion is still likely. Also I’d assume a recolour of the croc, or at least a reprint of the tan one.
  18. I feel like the turtle will return either in sets or BAM in a different colour variant. In fact - I’m pretty sure that *all* ‘new’ animals in CMFs have shown up either in sets (skunk, large snake, chihuahua, cat) or in BAM (gull, terrier, penguin, cobra, french bulldog) eventually.
  19. Hmm, while I definitely want those animals, and you’re right it would make sense to reuse - I just don’t think it’s likely that they go with this type of wildlife. Of course, they could have various themes or settings, but I still think that it’s more likely that they have them all within the same ‘world’ and stick to just one. So my money is still on African wildlife. That said, this ‘theme’ could quite easily have follow up sets with different settings or countries. In the same way there was one safari truck and lioness set, you could have, say, one ‘bush pilot’ type set with Australian animals. Or one marine rescue with an orca ;)
  20. Preeeeeetty sure what people think is a ‘fox guy’ is actually a ‘Red Panda guy’. This would make sense in internationalising appeal too.
  21. Naaah. I also think Rabbit is the most likely to be dropped from the figure roster if any are
  22. Did the Batman/DC magazine with Shazam figure ever get spotted in the wild? Please tell me I didn’t miss it ...
