    Omg - the sheep looks ‘normal’. This is great. What an expensive summer! oddly the ‘bald’ eagle would be kinda fine in an African context - it’s not far off the African fish eagle which has a white head.

    Elephant does seem to be the same colour. My bad. monkey wise, there’s one on the left of the treehouse ‘s and one on the right on the tree by the 🦅

    Think the white lion (while not ‘usual’) is a clever recolour, since there are famous wild white lions in South Africa, and it’s a nod to the Kimba cartoon (which many think was ripped off by Lion King) What he said ⬆️

    Ooh, so the largest set has - recoloured adult elephant (light blue grey, and with longer tusks) 🐘 - whole lion family (white male with blond mane, tan lioness, and one each of tan and white cubs) 🦁🦁🦁🦁 - two monkeys which seem to be in light tan 🐒🐒 - and, that looks like it might be an eagle on the top of the tree too 🦅 (blurry pic, but seems to be *something*) 8 nice critters in one set 🙊🙊🙊🙊

    Yeah, surely the big set will either have a combination of the animals already seen (maybe new colour, bigger tusks, female lion) or maybe even a surprise we don’t know about yet. Hope this is a successful wave as I think there is definitely mileage in more ‘animal rescue’ sets. They give an excuse for vehicles in every shape and form, as well as some landscape builds. Could easily work in forest, Arctic, ocean, coast, outback, jungle ... I also like how these sets have managed not to make the cold blooded creatures the ‘baddies’. Yes they may be a threat, but at the same time that python and that crocodile are just looking after their own babies. And that scorpion just really likes bananas.

    Ooooh! so - adult elephant seems to have maximum head and trunk as moveable pieces (but it still looks great)🐘 baby elephant seems to be about the size of the baby triceratops male lion looks great, and as expected🦁 Egg with reptilian eye is indeed with the crocodile 🐊 and that printed snake looks fantastic! 🐍 **** so excited for all these critters**** Ooh and the reprinted stingray in the ninjago set has also leaked. It looks to be a rather odd fantastical print - so may be of limited use New beasties from this wave so far new mould : 🐘🐘🐒🦁🦁 new colour or print: 🐊🐍 and all animals except the monkeys come with young or eggs.

    If it’s a hint - I have no clue. The red-eyed penguins came as sidekicks with the Penguin in a Lego Batcave set a few years back.

    RR has always been one of my favourite characters, and I was hoping he would be a specific mini fig. Have to say - don’t think they’ve done him justice with the standard body and legs, but the more I see of him, the more I like him. The moveable crest and the tail are both great, and that head is excellent Yeah, that does seem odd.

    Love the new 🐒 ... that one grasping hand is a fair compromise, given everyone’s nostalgia for the ‘old’ monkey, and it looks much better when holding something than empty.

    Really surprised they didn’t get more innovative with RR, he is the weakest for sure. Think most of these look amazing, I adore Wile E and Bugs, and am surprisingly happy with Petunia and Lola. Wonder why the more shaped ‘faun’ legs weren’t used for some of them - might have been better. With this roster (leaving aside predictable arguments why X Y & Z character will never make the cut, AND how the second series of Simpsons went) they do actually leave the door open for a second series - with variants of a few of these and some of the missing characters making up the other slots. Ideal for Elmer in series 2 😂
