  1. Understood, just seemed odd to specify - apologies for assuming anything.
  2. Are you suggesting they’re being deliberately withheld to avoid Bible MOCs? That seems a little bit of a stretch. Animals aren’t always freely available, and since they are species people have been waiting for for a loooooooong time, it’s much more likely that it’s about supply & demand, or a deliberate holding back to encourage people to buy the actual sets.
  3. Well afaik the new sets are reusing moulds that each previously only existed in one set (carnotaurus, stygimoloch, baryonx, baby ankylosaur and baby trike) ... I mean I think it’s pretty reasonable for Lego to reuse moulds tbqh. Though I can understand people clamouring for every single dinosaur 😜
  4. I think the other thing to note, and also largely true of the new and last waves of Jurassic World Dino sets, is that the sets *with* animals now mostly come with more than one. Sets with just one animal are the exception now. And yes, I didn’t look so hard at the stunt sets either. I know I sometimes get accused of being too positive regarding sets on here, but I do think that eg the angler fish in the stunt set , a sheep in Disney, shows that no wave or theme is entirely disinteresting - they can all yield interesting parts or figures. Whilst I have to admit to not having bought any sets (I have bricklinked some parts) I generally love the imaginative colourful chaos vibe from themes like Nexo knights, Monkie Kid, the new Stuntz, and heck even the Trolls...
  5. Ooooh Thanks for that. Great spot. Does look like black fish with GITD bits - brilliant recolour. It’s such an exquisite mould, I’m glad to see it getting reused. Think that might be a rubber duck recolour in the same set.
  6. Madness, when it’s clearly a set to celebrate the NHS!
  7. So, almost all of the animals from the new sets showed up on Bricks & Pieces this morning, though most have already sold out, presumably temporarily. Seems to be a good sign that they will be available though. Will probably be a bit like when the new tan horse and the reindeer showed up and kept selling out initially. Anyone managed to pick up any real life sets from real life stores today?
  8. This also fails to take into account the growth of Lego brand stores, more specific Lego departments in stores that are not just toyshops, toys sold in supermarkets and, of course, online purchases ... which don’t need shelf space.
  9. And isn’t it *fascinating* that a minifig Drag Queen (which, let’s face it, any of us could cobble together right now, and several released figures certainly give Drag a nod...) is somehow more of a corrupting influence than a Minotaur or an orc? There’s no logic to the panic.
  10. Fair, that’s probably the case. We also never know what is in the pipeline with possible mould reuses when either - they may already be done with that one 🤷🏽‍♂️
  11. Which of course would be midnight in Denmark ;)
  12. Dunno if this helps - but the ‘free’ minifig with this month’s Ninjago magazine is the Islander ‘Thunderkeeper’. Might be a simpler way to get the figure if they’re available for you.
  13. Yes. I’m kind of surprised they didn’t make the ‘deer’ mould stylised enough to double as an antelope, and use interchangeable horns and antlers
  14. Hold on. ‘Pail’? Isn’t that a Scottish word?
  15. Do read back what you wrote. ‘I do not care if one is a he, she, it or something else...’ apology accepted in advance.
  16. No no no, the skunk, not the otter. Martens need floofy tails!
  17. No, it’s spread back to wales and some parts of England at least in the U.K. - and prevalent in N Hemisphere in Eurasia and America
  18. In a rare bout of ‘reuse the mould’ madness I think the skunk mould *could* be reused for a passable marten. Though I would never encourage this, norwant to see it until there were lots of Lego squirrels for the marten to eat 😂 Also, what is niche? We have a hermit crab, a chameleon, a bateleur eagle and at least four identifiable owl species by this point...
  19. Poor poor Renly. 😿
  20. You know there’s a printed peach part in the Monkie Kid line?
  21. Yes to this. I also want to see some fleshy torsos showing flesh, especially darker toned ones.
  22. <Sigh>. Did you need to have that dig at someone voicing frustration?
  23. Sorry, posts crossed. Again, I appreciate you think you are being dismissed or disregarded in this - but the reality for many/most LGBTQ+ people (and this is an especially toxic narrative at the moment in many places for trans people) is that we have to respond on a daily basis to a whole bunch of assumptions, jokes, questions and comments that cisgender straight people, just don’t have to. Undoubtedly that is much more difficult when it is intersectional and also has elements of race, ability, faith or anything else included. But it’s all pretty inappropriate, toxic, demeaning and demoralising. We are routinely boiled down to notions of sexual conduct, or genitalia. Strangers obsessively assume they have a right to know who has what genitals, for the most basic of rights like being able to use a bathroom. That stuff is constant and demeaning and an ongoing challenge. Queer people don’t ‘come out’ once, they come out every day of the rest of their lives, having to decide what to say to who, when to mention what, and making all sorts of judgments. It’s exhausting. So please forgive us if we aren’t always the most patient or the most inclined to answer a barrage of questions - which we might well assume are not well-intentioned, or could be problematic.
