I mean - this is Lego: proportions don’t matter, and it’s still smaller than a scorpion ;)

Yes - that’s a baby wolf for me too. All three of the new dragons across themes are adorable -assuming- that link is pretty accurate, what do we think about the new printed wee bird? I don’t know if it’s specifically supposed to be anything in particular, but it seems pretty close to some sparrow species for me, and also reminiscent of a goldcrest, even if the head colours are a bit wrong. Personally I’m fine with either specific species printing or some sort of loose version that we can interpret ourselves, providing it’s ‘realistic’ enough. Not a fan of red eyes on the rat, or generally any of the tropes to make animals ‘evil’, but it’s nice to see a recoloured rat at last.

Yeah I get that, but it doesn’t make much sense with the notion that the jungle sets ‘combine’, as we have been told 💁🏽♂️

Plus the croc & gorilla get the adults & baby treatment here, so … There’s an outside chance that there may be a new head mould for the adult tiger, which I think isn’t needed. Have also been wondering how possible it is to print stripes on the big cat cub, as they struggled a little with spots and stripes on the adult ones.

Yeah it seems to be one type of animal per set, with no notable antagonist - but there might be something like snakes or birds that just haven’t been reported. As ever it’s hard to know what the people reporting on the sets know, or indeed what they care to pass on! Would seem to be a shift from the last three years of sets with multiple animals (Africa, farm, ocean) … and actually be closer to how Playmobil markets sets with an animal family 💁🏽♂️

Here’s the translation to English for the jungle sets from the Polish site: 30665 Meet the little gorilla - a polybag for PLN 17.99, containing a new cast of a small gorilla. A total of 34 blocks. // 60424 Quad of a jungle researcher with a red panda - PLN 45.99 for the first jungle-themed set. For him we get a cast of a red panda and a figure of the discoverer, probably referring to Johnny Thunder. 60425 Jungle researcher's watercraft - PLN 99.99. The set includes a small "cave" as a fragment of the jungle, 2 figures of explorers and 3 crocodiles (2 adults + 1 young). 60426 Jungle researcher's field - PLN 129.99. On the pace of the car we find a camera on the boom, and above the wheels - boxes for equipment. In the set you will find a large fragment of the jungle with a cave sheltered by a tree, under which we find bones. Minifigs: 3 explorers, but it is here that we will find a new cast of a tiger in dark orange colour. The tiger is solved in the same way as the new horse figurines, i.e. you can carry it on the hind legs. 60437 Helicopter of jungle researchers in the base - PLN 469.99. The machine will have synchronised, double rotors, a cargo hold and a working cargo winch, and a lot of other moving elements (open cockpit, and a ramp at the back). The helicopter will be reached by a motorcycle, a swamp boat and a small base - all this can be placed in the main machine, which will be a solid size. The set also includes another fragment of the jungle, 5 minifigs (pilot, cartographer, mechanic, photographer and medic), 2 large gorillas in the form of a new cast with a raised left paw and 1 small gorilla (also new).

So we have a bit more info on the city Jungle sets: seems that we get two big & one small croc in a set; two adult and one baby gorilla in another; a dark orange coloured tiger in another, and; the red panda in the smallest set. I’m still confused about how these sets go together, and hoping that there are more surprises to come. Thus far though it seems that all the animals are new, either by colour & print, or mould. gorillas - 2 new moulds red panda - 1 new mould crocs & tiger - recolours The Africa-based wildlife rescue sets gave us FIVE new moulds (monkey, 2 elephants, male lion, lion cub), plus recoloured eagle, python & croc … so it may not be unreasonable to think there’s something else new that we don’t yet know about! We need pics 😜

I agree, but it still makes no sense. The wildlife rescue sets were very focussed, not just in Africa, but in a specific part of Southern Africa, species wise. I still think something is missing in the descriptions or narrative we have for this wave.

Having looked at that translated into English, I remain confused how it can all be combined into one big jungle, when there are (at least) Asian and African species. Might there be any chance that the ‘gorilla’ is in fact an orangutan? Seems an unlikely mistranslation to me, but still … Nice to hear that the tiger is in a darker orange colour, seems like all animals will be either totally new, or recolours & new prints

Different emphasis here. And you cram in more HOLIDAYSness

I guess this explains why we’ve never gotten Squirrel Girl in the Marvel theme - her legions of squirrel minions were prohibitive

I kinda assumed that the owls in the leaked image might have been stand-in hints for a falcon or two. DnD CMF already seems to have great potential to be popular as all army builders, plus appeal to those keen on castle, history, fantasy & sci-fi figures too. Aye, agree. Though we must never forget that the first ever Lego sheep turned up in a Mickey Mouse set out of the blue, so who really knows? 🙃

I feel like I’m having to learn a new language to keep up with this CMF. Assuming the animals are ‘useful’, as with the French Bulldog in the Space series, I think it’s a pretty solid commitment from Lego making sure we get accessible critters in CMFs, even when they’re not standard ones. Trying not to get my hopes up for a wolf, but it’s interesting what details people pick up when we get leaks. To me ‘dog’ ( as with ‘bird’ ) just implies someone wasn’t interested in the dog here, rather than any assumption we can make, since the level of detail on the characters is much better. This. I’m surprised the falcon hasn’t had a recolour for the Medieval village set, but this would also be a likely place to see one. Assume it’s not gonna be a parrot, a penguin or a flamingo …

I would assume minigogures, not least as that’s what other Oz sets & figures have been. I wonder if these are all play sets - or if any are buildable display sets, or even art sets?
