    It would be appropriate to have a new mould, but it also means that we would have three current moulds for *just* owls. Iā€™m obviously not complaining, though we do still lack some pretty basic animals, whilst owls get all the love, and goats get all the teasing ;)

    Ah, Schrƶdingerā€™s goat. Maybe it will be a chase figure, in gold, and only in one in every 100 sets. I honestly think part of me is going to be sad when the goat is no longer of mythical status. In so many ways itā€™s one of the most obvious animals for Lego to produce, as goats are universally known and kept. Though obviously they are not first in line in the standard Old MacDonald farm repertoire.

    I blame Europeans for being colonisers and not understanding biology when they went places! I prefer to use ā€˜mooseā€™ whether in Europe or N America, simply as itā€™s a much better name than ā€˜elkā€™. As for Bambi getting Disney species-swapped, as someone who lives in Scotland, where they like to emblazon stags on almost everything, youā€™d be amazed how often Scottish branded things feature American deer species! fun fact - Europe does now have naturalised populations of raccoons (and racoon dogs / tanuki) - though they are not native.

    Once saw a rather splendid suggestion as a solution to gender balance in the CMFs, which was to include double sided heads with one ā€˜maleā€™ and one ā€˜femaleā€™ face. Genius, but also I can just imagine the conniptions from some quarters! I adore the old style hieroglyphic printed bricks from the Adventurers theme (even more so because they all spell something), and the stickers that have come since, in the Indy sets and Pharaohā€™s Quest, have been urgh.

    Love this! think Iā€™d agree with the ā€˜Mushroomsā€™ idea. Also, since seeing the Friends Botanic Garden set, Iā€™ve been keen to see how the Botanical range would tackle bigger scale versions of the Titan Arum, and some carnivorous plants (pitcher plants, Venus fly trap & sundews)

    Hush. Itā€™s beautiful. Iā€™m another vote for more animals, and a more diverse understanding of ā€˜Cityā€™. I think the locations like forest, swamp and Arctic are all fine - but even if one was being purist, there are cities which have bears, leopards, monkeys, etc

    Printed ā€˜mothā€™ from the A Frame cabin is available on bricks & pieces on Lego site. Just in case anyone has been waiting for a slightly cheaper way to get some.

    The owl features in the last episode of Hawkeye in a Christmas tree - I think itā€™s a saw-whet owl. Thatā€™s a small species, so thereā€™s an outside chance that they give us a new, smaller, owl mould. That would make sense for use in other themes - but who knows? (In theory they should have given us a new mould with the owl that came with Cho Chang CMF but they didnā€™t) And yes the adult seal is a good size, which is nice to see.

    Nice to see the black cat back. Hope itā€™s easily available! Apparently an owl and dog coming in the next Marvel CMF wave. Would assume a new print on the owl, and the dog will likely reuse the retriever mould, but may get a new one. Either way, since itā€™s Lucky the Pizza Dog, it will be the first non-Friends animal with a visible disability, as Lucky has only one eye.

    Youā€™re slacking @Roebuck! They did the same when they introduced the hammerhead, it was the same time that they gave us the shark with gooey green eyes on Hidden side, so they only had to produce one new colour body. Interestingly - the new hammerhead in light bley has a standard eye, without eyebrows. Whoever decides on shark and croc eyes at Lego is all over the place!

    Itā€™s a very blurry image. Has a Santa & ā€˜Mrs Clausā€™ up front. Thereā€™s a hockey player figure, an ice sculpture being carved by someone with a chainsaw, a girl with a chihuahua dog, another blurry figure that seems to be flying, and a figure that might be a carol singer at the back beside a lamppost. I think thereā€™s an animal beside that one too. in the distance appears to be Santaā€™s sled on a rooftop. Almost impossible to make out anything there, but there does seem to be a deer-like animal of some sort pulling the sled. so it appears to have seven minifigures, and at least two moulded animals.
