    Agreed! I’ve often hankered for some Greek mythology sets and figures more broadly, but a set of 12 themed CMFs would be eminently doable, and have broad appeal.

    It was just to get you overhyped. Maybe, instead of thinking what scraps of animals we will get from CMF 27, we should instead flip the list we have on its head, and suggest the animals we could get with each. Y’know, some wishful thunking until our hopes are dashed … and that could maybe look something like this: 1. Wolfpack Beastmaster New wolf, reused ‘wolf cub’, raven 2. Pirate Quartermaster new parrot, recoloured monkey 3. Steampunk Inventor raven, owl, cat or dog 4. Pterodactyl Costume Fan fish 5. Bogeyman spider 6. Jetpack Racer Jet pack dog 7. Cat Lover new cat, or two new cats, or some new colours of cats and kittens 8. Longboarder okay, okay, I have no clue. I’m throwing a pigeon in here, as something that has to get out of the way 9. Astronomer Kid recoloured smowl 10. Cupid dove (new pigeon mould in white) 11. Hamster Costume Fan hamster 12. Plush Toy oh, I give up. There has been a light tan one, IIRC only available in one set or through Bricks & Pieces. Never a white one though - which is frankly an affront to deep sea vent communities!

    Off topic, but it’s weird that we have never had a canal boat/ house boat set, have we? Also a great place to get a proper duck in a set - just to get us back on theme

    Or even with its wings tucked in & a bag of chips I love the classic crab so much, that it’s one I’d not like to see updated. Happy for a new colour though Maybe we need a Hot Fuzz set submitted to Ideas to secure that elusive swan 🦢

    I wonder if Cupid will reuse the new wing piece that arrived with the DnD series, or perhaps have a version with smaller wings? To my mind the pirate CMF figures are generally a bit lacking in accessories, so perhaps this one will come with an updated, printed, parrot? Steampunk figure could also be a vehicle for reusing the Hidden Side raven mould as an accessory in a more realistic colour way. Not sure which way the Cat Lover figure will go, but paws crossed for a new cat mould, either sitting, or a long haired one. Hamster costume seems the most ‘meh’ to me, and a rather bland choice of costume. Plush toy seems the most vague to have even a mental image of.

    I guess there’s an outside chance that the pirate figure in CMF 27 comes with a recoloured monkey or an updated parrot 🤷🏽‍♂️ just to give @lifeinplasticsome hope for exotic beasties! The Cat Lover could go in a few directions - crazy clothing and headgear, stuffed cat toy, existing or new cats. I’d like to see either a new long haired cat or a sitting cat mould. Ideally both 😝 I definitely think that they need to up their game cat-wise, especially now that Friends has the superb fat grumpy cat mould. I so so so so want a proper Lego wolf (though I just know I’ll be raging when they give it some stupid evil-looking eye), but you make a good point re the raven mould. There is always a limit to how many new moulds appear in CMFs so it’s sometimes useful to look at the lineup and think which could feasibly NOT need a new mould, that then gives an idea of where there might be ‘mould space’. Also worth remembering that the pattern of <random figure> being a vehicle for new animals is pretty well-established at this stage, so we can realistically expect it.

    Welcome to Eurobricks! Animal fans are especially welcome. There’s a ‘buy sell trade’ section in the forums, which would be your best bet. Not sure which ‘woodlandy’ creatures you’re after, but the stag, otter, squirrels, hare, rabbit, owls are still pretty available on Lego’s Bricks & pieces site. If it’s bears you’re after, then that’s probably more of a fair swap for your critters!

    Dude, did you miss out on the camel and ostrich way back when? I’m glad I snagged some at the time. It was such a surprise for those to show up as part of a one off licensed theme and then never be used again. Don’t think that would happen with new large animals these days

    Agree with all of this. I do also think, as @Roebuck said, that it’s a deliberate attempt to stop a massive rush *and* encourage folks to buy the sets instead. £5 for a goat is madness when one just came as an accessory to a £3.50 CMF! And three sheep being cheaper than one goat? 😵‍💫

    Shame there doesn’t seem to be any articulation with the stegosaurus’ head, jaw or tail though 😥 I don’t think the veggie-sauruses get enough love from Lego, to be quite honest.

    ‘Normal for Norway’ isn’t an excuse! Given how breed-specific the current dogs are, it’s pretty impossible to assume are wolves, unless you think your wee dachshund is a dead ringer for a wolf @Roebuck? 😂 I would assume that the new craven mould will be the only crow/raven we are getting, so far only really dogs and owls have gotten multiple, very specific, moulds, and sadly corvids don’t have the same cachet as owls … at least until Game of Thrones becomes an evergreen theme! Sadly for Nordic (and I include north Scotland, as we are on the dividing line with them!) Lego animal fans, severely doubt we will ever get a ‘hoodie’ crow.

    Wolf, much like ravens, ducks, foxes, pigeons etc, seem such an oversight at this stage. Like, they could have been useful, or incidental in so many themes and sets. I would say it should be a given that they are introduced, and let us be more imaginative with our wishlists than having to hope for the most basic critters!

    Hard to tell from the photos we have seen, but my guess would be no - as the back has studs on, and I’m not sure they can print on that surface. That said, printing on animals is getting more complex - so who knows?

    Always hard to tell with render - but seems to be the small sea life creatures in standard yellow. Pretty sure the Abraxan horse is the existing one, just paired with different wing colours this time.

    Love all the critters, but honestly am a wee bit surprised by the lack of actual jungle - especially when we have so many new foliage pieces these days 🤷🏽‍♂️ Think it’s the existing one. But not easy to see clearly. You might need to wait a few years
