  1. [check this post for what used to be here - and more!]
  2. That's actually this thing; either they made far too many for the Star Wars bonkles, or someone at TLG likes them very much.
  3. Oh you noticed the Dark Stone Grey on the Ocean Explorer too
  4. Whoa it has a moving bum ALSO: looks like I'm getting back to that pictorial part report now
  5. Have a look at them under UV light for a surprise...
  6. DO IT (or just buy two 42050s and sell everything else) It looks so correct
  7. https://www.lego.com/en-gb/service/replacementparts/
  8. It's most visible near the bucket on the excavator in 42060 and the kickstand on 42063; no doubt it'll be lurking in a couple of the others sets too. I can already see how it'll be essential for routing axles through assemblies made with angled beams, while allowing compactness and strength that wouldn't be possible with #2 angle connectors.
  9. I was pretty surprised at this, until I remembered that about a third of my BL orders are from there by virtue of having most of the stuff I want, and they arrive almost as quickly as domestic orders. TLG can't compete with that! ALSO: someone a few pages back requested a report on the new bits that have been discovered in the images we've seen so far - I've been making palette-swaps of official images to make a pictorial rundown, but I was hoping that we'd see 42066 a bit sooner, in order to make images for that too. While we wait a bit longer, there is this crude little mockup of one of the most rad parts:
  10. He can't review it, because he gave it to efferman. Gah!
  11. An obscure bulletin, but Dark Stone Grey double cross blocks* finally became available on Bricks and Pieces. It's great to have a chance to buy some once-rare parts for prices that aren't completely outrageous. There are still orange 11M beams available, also those green 3M beams that nobody noticed in the helipad of 42064. Some stuff you lot may have been wanting could be there too. Go see! * these things
  12. Are the first two letters "PK"? If so, it's a zipfile.
  13. Looks like the new Architecture London Skyline set is going to have some interesting Technic bits in it: That IS a 7M flex axle in medium blue! Also 'scuse the horrible JPEG artifacts; these are NOT official images, but re-colours made from official sources. Sometimes those source images are heavily encoded and very grainy.
  14. The error can break navigation with the browsers back / forward buttons and makes it a pain to look back through large threads. I'd rather have things work first time around.
  15. I've seen this myself on "big" threads with a few dozen pages, but not on smaller ones. One way to get around it is to drag the page number / navigation link into the page's tab. Not exactly sure why the board software's creators tried to reinvent the wheel here; they seem to have made it into a dodecagon.
  16. The eeevul curse of the 420x1 slot. Ever since the Race Truck released later than the set number sequence would suggest, there's been a Classic Castle glow-in-the-dark ghost haunting it, gradually scaring ever more people away from leaving anything in the slot. Next year all existence of there even being a slot will be denied. Just an ominous hole in a misty forest crudely covered with leaves and technic beams. But seriously, I do not kno
  17. Blowing £100+ on a set for a slim chance at getting one specific part that may or may not be in it is NOT a reasonable price. Anyway, back on topic: the RC Tracked Racer is off the menu for me, since I already have more M-motors and V1 IR receivers than I can eat. I'll just buy the parts I miss and make one up from my stash. Looks like a fun set for carpets though, so I'm looking forward to doing this. 42060 and 42062 are instant buys for all the previously rare and new parts.
  18. I wish we could see another vehicle that uses the 9398 setup, if only to have a chance at getting V2 receivers again for reasonable prices. I managed to get just one before prices skyrocketed, and now they're as rare as hen's teeth.
  19. Three 16T gears along the opposite side, the middle one being one of those red clutch gears.
  20. Non-transparent version of one of these
  21. Looks like we're getting at least six o' these, which is nice: I was hoping that the handlebars would have some of those stupid-rare medium stone grey #4s though. Lawd when can this fule have his wants.
