  1. Ha, ha, thanks Captain B! At least the mummies can't tell the difference! Ha, ha, thanks!
  2. Thanks ME! Supposing it's up to me I would say a 24x20 would be fine, although I would prefer a counter which also uses mirrors and the same base size if possible (after all, a lot of my work went into getting the mirrors just right and getting a good picture!) I can certainly see your not wanting to rip mirrors off the walls though! Ha, ha! I wouldn't say quite infinite as you need to get the picture from somewhere which really limits the size! As I said to MassEditor, I think you could go with a 20x24, but I would prefer a counter using the mirrors
  3. It makes no difference if your team wins the warzone or not, each person who places receives extra points anyways And as I pointed out before, any placing entry into a WZ is worth the same amount or more than an unsuccessful guerrilla.
  4. Thanks all! Ha, ha! Thanks LordDan! Thanks GG! Thanks robuko! I think you've forgotten this? Also, as the others have pointed out, the helmet is not really very rare and samurai helmets work just as well Thanks! Yes, it was a little painful! Thanks LJ, glad you like it! Thanks Captain Dee! I was quite happy with the foggy look myself! I know Kai and others have used a mirror as reflecting water, which is certainly far easier than using two like this! Thanks Mrcp6d! It more like quadruples it here though!
  5. That is actually already in the list of expired non-countered and-therefore-successful guerrillas
  6. To War! A guerrilla build against the DK on A15. And no, it is not a direct attack, since no enemies are portrayed (only an excursion into enemy territory )
  7. The mighty Ulandian army advances into the center of Desert King territory. Although they have quickly constructed an important coastal stronghold, the mummified - and other - followers of the false Desert King stand no chance against the Ulandian host! From the front: A very fun experiment with mirrors! Although I would certainly like to use a mirror with a build again I don't think I'll try two again for a while! Here's a picture of the setup I used, and the build is actually a total of 6x20 studs. Thanks for viewing, C&C are welcome! And yes, there should be another Ulandian guerrilla to help mine out pretty soon!
  8. Fantastic build SK, excellent colors and landscaping! Great job with the arches, doors, and studs-out domes (and the architecture in general!) The sedan chair is very nice as well, its great to see a peaceful build with all the Challenge IV stuff going on!
  9. I certainly agree with you as to limiting guerrilla builds and making WZs more important. Your first, third, fourth, and fifth suggestions are very good and I would be happy to see them adopted However, I do not believe that removing the limit on counters would help for the following reasons: We would not want counters to replace guerrillas as the overloaded builds. Counters require just as much focus on quality over quantity as guerrillas (furthermore, if your fourth suggestion gets approved I think it would greatly help the problem and wouldn't necessitate a change in the counter limit) This challenge is, after all, a team effort. Therefore, I believe that the limit on counters should be a stimulant for team effort and coordination, rather than all the team's members being able to go off on their own and build tons of counters. However, I would advocate keeping the rule about overloaded guerrillas (i.e., if a team has more guerrillas against it than the half of its members it may request a longer deadline for any guerrillas over that number or each builder may do extra counters), only changing the last part so that there would still be a limit. E.g., if there are 10 guerrilla one week against Ulandus - which has 14 members if I recall correctly - each member would be able to build a maximum of two counters that week (excluding leftovers, as before). As to the personal points for guerrillas and counters, I'm not sure that anyone builds them just for personal points. The last time the points changed there was no perceptible difference in the quantity of counters or guerrillas, and I don't believe it would help now either. If you are merely concerned about the points per se, changing them would clearly make a difference there, but it would probably not affect the quantity or quality at all Still a WZ entry that places fifth in the voting is worth the same as an unsuccessful guerrilla, and with the suggestion made by Bregir the number of successful guerrillas would be reduced, so I see no great problem there (though I do realize it is far harder to place if you build for the DK than it is for Ulandus!)
  10. Excellent build Gary, great job portraying all the action that is going on! Fantastic work with the wall texturing and story as well, and I really like the flags at the top!
  11. Fantastic build again Cesbrick! Superb roof and color-scheme, and very nice tree and balcony as well! As MassEditor said, the one thing that could help this build would be having it posted in GoH!
  12. Excellent tree and foliage Jakorin, extremely nice counter! What pieces did you use for the spiked grass? What ever they are they work very well!
  13. Thanks all! The first post has been updated with clearer pictures Thank Kai, glad you like it! I figured that the upside-down roof would be a good solution here! Ha, ha! Thanks Blufiji! Thanks LD! Obviously the Ulanders got refunded... (JK, I think that either this or Kai's build are official, not necessarily both ) Ha, ha, quite true! Thanks Andrew! Thanks Captain, glad you like it! Thanks LV! Thanks LittleJohn! I had seen something like this technique for the wall before and always have wanted to try it out! Thanks a lot MassEditor!
  14. Ha, ha, excellent build ME, and fantastic transforming function! Very nice rock-work and tree, and the wagon is superb!
  15. Excellent build and fantastic foliage, Blufiji, great take on this warzone! Superb job on the tiled floor as well and the water is a great touch!
  16. Fantastic build LD, great use of that shield and excellent wall and floor mosaic! Quite probably your best build yet!
  17. Thanks Kai, glad you like it! Thanks LV! I've really enjoyed seeing some of the things that were built for this warzone as well!
  18. Thanks all! Ha, ha! Thanks Kai! Ha, ha! Let's hope not! Thanks U-M! Thanks Balbo!
  19. Nice build LordDan, great job on the war-wagon! I agree with MassEditor though, that dragon is the best part!
  20. Fantastic build Hammerhand, excellent job on the roof, wall, baths, doors, pillars, and everything else! Some of my favorite things here are the minifig posing and the white outline on the crenelations!
  21. Great job with the various functions of the wall, I really like the tent especially!
  22. Ha, ha, great little build! Excellent posing with the "Authority figure"!
  23. Excellent work with that black knight!
  24. Another great build Kai, very nice forced perspective here! Excellent job on the sand and barricade as well!
