Glad you like it. I've used the 6x6 dish trick in my upcoming project that I'll surely post tonight. Edit: Hey I got a WIP title

I've run some tests yesterday as I've 8GB of RAM, and when LDD crashes, it only used 1,5GB... so it's not a memory related issue

Those models are awesome, so cute! Even without lasers the xwing is stil recognizable That's the first thing I thought of when I saw the xwing: that would be nice with Mortesv's Nebulon B

Wow it's really nice to see that ship brickbuild

By the way, did you have problems with LDD to handle tens of thousands of bricks? I have a project that crashes LDD each time I go above 24900 bricks

[MOC] UCS Nebulon B - Medical Frigate 'Redemption'
Bob De Quatre replied to mortesv's topic in LEGO Star Wars
That's a bit too much for me... I'll have to try to cut that down, or maybe canibalize the Executor -

Mortesv do you have an idea of the cost? I'd really like to build it after I'm done with the Executor... -

It seems to be titled "Rothana Heavy engineering". The builder has a lot of extraordinary diorama... one including the goblin's king battle from LOTR and the new orange high-speed train in the same diorama -

Oh it's already sandy colors... my bad. The stands are an issue for me, as my cat loves to play with Lego, and have a tendency to go where it should go (like resting under my Executer). This Nebulon B MOC got some nice xwing, but maybe slightly too big. -

Ah yes, copper... for me in steampunk MOC brown=wood... but it could be copper...- 15 replies

I know that there are a few challenge ideas already in preparation. But more ideas are always welcome. There is a place for that, it's called "the Sci-fi theme forum" (just kidding)

Awesome is the word I like a lot of things in there, but I don't know why the landing area for the jedi starfighter really appeals to me -
I really like what you build, and as others commented, I think the cockpit could go a little bigger. But I also think you should try to enhance the areas between the cockpit and the engines section.

[MOC] Steampunk AT-RT (Moodland Scale)

Wow it's so full of details The use of wooden chains on metal gears is quite unique I'm not fan of this "scale", but your work is always amazing- 15 replies

It looks very nice. Maybe the space between the lower side and the "top" is a little too wide. And the cones you used for the engines seems too large at the end. But I know the isn't so much choices... For the vertical bands I first tought of using half-stud interval, but as Brickdoctor stated, it would not be as strong or as thin as the two layers of plates. The different colors used don't bother me, it gives the ship the "mon calamarish" look of the MC80.

[MOC] UCS Nebulon B - Medical Frigate 'Redemption'

Great job Mortesv ! I always wanted to build a UCS Nebulon B, as it's my favorite OT ship, and was eagerly waiting for you to finish this build That's an awesome build, I had to check the reference pictures as the Nebulon B I had in mind wasn't so detailed and so "colorful", but you did a great job capturing the shapes, angles and tiny details. I think the colored parts are too much... erm... colored... could you have used some "sand" colors that would stand out a little less? Concerning the stands, as a proud cat owner, I suggest using two brickbuild stands under the engine section and the front section (maybe in white), and keep the transparent stand in the middle. Is the stand under the water tank really necessary? I would add some micro-xwing docked under the spine Now I want one -
The gun is really nice, but I'm not fan of the base Good job anyway

Really nice steampunk MOCs. Great variety of parts, and some usages I'll try to remember
