Next wave will bring beams in four "new" colours. Splitface does split :-)

Parts with the double shafts should be disassembled by a straight pull, not be twisting the pieces. In the example of the 2.0 Hero Heads, pull the head gear and helmet straight off the head, turn those two pieces and push the helmet off by applying pressure on the inner side of the helmet. I know it can be hard to take 3.0 Hero Masks of the heads, it's not ideal. Anyway, always try to pull the parts apart with a straight motion. Please let LEGO consumer service know if any parts break or fail in other ways. cheers Front aka Erland, Part Design

I will be working on other LEGO products next year (2013 products).

Studless techniques
Front replied to Burf2000's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
You will be able to find connections in official sets, where the math don't really fit a 100 %. I don't have any examples ready, but a recent set (a truck) had a cabin where the beams where stretched slightly to fit. -
A bit unfortunate that the movie is squeezed in aspect ration, making every character looking short and fat.

A hero with a bulky torso, equipped with claws, and an upgraded spear shooter. Automatic laser guns attached to the back makes it very hard to catch this guy unaware. You may think that the big shell on the torso is placed a bit too low, but next year I will have a part that enables me to place it higher. Front aka Erland, Part Design

I think that's gonna be a no and a yes

I work as a Part Designer at LEGO in Billund, and use Bricklink often to find part numbers of out-of-production parts (usually only works for the parts where the design number is engraved in the plastic). Bricklink is also handy to check if a brick was produced in a specific colour or to check the years it appeared in sets. But then I'm not that good at using the internal systems to check things like this.

I might have engineered the mask of WD, but the designer of the mask is Esben. Esben is also the set designer of WD as well as earlier sets as (among others) Skopio XV-1 (2009 vehicle), Toa Mata Nui (2009 titan), and Takanuva (2008 titan). I was involved a bit in finding design solutions to the hip and shoulder design of WD, looking into new parts that could solve several issues. Esben did however come up with this brilliant solution, that required zero new parts. Esben is seen in this picture: Picture of Bionicle designers

What do you think is the most common/well known Lego brick?
Front replied to SNIPE's topic in General LEGO Discussion
The brick produced in most numbers during the last 50 years might be 2x4, but I think it must be one of the smaller bricks. Just think about how many black Technic-bushings are used in quite many sets. -
Well spotted. Yes I did not bring much thought to Furno. Scorpio was made some days ago, but Furno just came together because I wanted to shoot these photos.

Love the start with the Donkey Kong game. Good job

The biggest hero of them all, mr. Furno himself in the eagle incarnation, takes on the vicious Skorpio. But calm down, it's not that deadly, it's just small toys. Furno 3.0 is surely the coolest of the 2011 summer set Heroes. Because I engineered his mask On a more serious note, it took so long that I ended up doing only a single of the six masks. Or was it the WD mask that blew the time frame ? I think it was The 2011 summer sets, well I my opinion it's the coolest and strongest Constraction line that LEGO ever had. Check out the new video with my friends Simon and Matt on herofactory.com They are showing off some building with our new system of beams and shells, by using four of this summers big sets.

Yes, we could use more nice and talented people working in Billund. Apply please :-)

Very neat torso bulk now has, I like the placements of the shells on his back.

I would suggest not spraying anything on your HERO FACTORY parts. If you think the joints squeak, you could try wiping the parts with a cloth, at the contact points. Or even better, not worry about it. Front aka Erland, Part Design

Very nice idea, like a 4-ped underwater that transforms. In Atlantis colors.

Very cool with the LDD update, thank you for info. Where do I find that bone piece with 3 balls that waspix use ? Maybe it's not there.

First of all. I don't believe much I read in an article about a company, when the article does not even show the products of that company in a picture. They can't even show real LEGO products, why should I trust the written information ? LEGO has produced bricks for many years in USA, and now does it in Mexico. What's the difference, it was in both cases done to be close to the NA market. And in both cases labour is less costly than in Denmark. I for one is glad to have a lot of colleages in Mexico, and is proud that LEGO are giving jobs to a lot of Mexicans. Front aka Erland, Part Design

Your modular setup with the three houses and the tram is really cool. Quite true to the period. Keep up the good work.

Exo-Force 7707 Frontline Barricade (on-line model)
Front replied to JunkstyleGio's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
These pictures in that brickshelf folder are the same as I have on my computer. This was an "inspiration model", and as such did not have full instructions. The one shown was the official from LEGO. I do have a lot of different EXO-FORCE inspiration model instructions on my pc, if needed. -

Thank you for showing this great piece of Technic art. -
Brickthing noticed it earlier, and if you look carefully you'll see it on all four heroes.
