I don't know who came up with that idea, but the master of the big sets (e.g. Firelord, WD and Skopio XV-1), Esben, was the designer of the piece. The geometry of the surface is exactly the same as used on the Bionicle set Gorast, but it is much better in the new version where it is used on a much clearer material. The soft wings of Gorast kind of dampened the visual effect. Erland, Part Design

I could give all the sets stamp of approval, but I don't think anyone should consider that as anything near a proff that the sets are good But these three are my favorites right now. Breeze and Furno are probably my least favorites, but that could change once I build them myself. They are after all the larger heros in this wave.

By the end of the year, everyone will aggree that Black Phantom, Splitface and Thornrax are this wave's high notes

This is how I like to pose the set, balancing on three points.

All this about Splitface also means, that you can build him with the colours mirrored, making a twin (or making a full red or or dark silver figure). Printing on chest wont fit though. I find the design of this mask really brilliant. I don't think I could ever come up with such idea.

3 pieces will yield 5 different shooter combinations. All 5 can fire a Zhamor sphere, while only 3 can fire a Spike Ball

A launcher can be made with an old and a new piece. Asymmetrical that is. That should also be possible with the new special top part launcher and an old 2009 launcher piece. Although that combination wont be able to fire a spike ball, similar to the configuration of the 2012 standard sets.

There are no re-colours of the 2009 Thornax launcher.

I would like the box art to be as honest as possible. But doing things on a computer don't prevent that things can be positioned wrongly. Or so it seems. On another note, you should all look forward to having heads in a colour not used before for that particular piece. It's my favorite transparent colour

I've cleaned some sets from dust etc. by giving them a short shower, while brushing the dust off with a big brush that is intended for cleaning cars. Then grab a towel and remove most of the water by rubbing the set gently. Some water will remain and leave some chalk, but I guess it's not a big deal. Don't use hot water, just slightly warm water. It will work better if every set is taken apart, and each element is cleaned by itself, but it takes too much time......

Yep. He is also doing graphics work in PS which is insane. Looks so cool.

Evo did not change colour since last year, if I rotate my head 90 degrees I'm looking at him

I just checked him, and yes, you can replace the "y-joint" ball cup with a hand But the "hand" is so hidden that maybe the designer thought that it would be a waste of a good piece, to hide it in there. Or maybe Evo lost his arm in battle, and had it replaced with a canon ?

No matter what kind of LEGO part that break or fail in any way, I strongly suggest that LEGO costumer service are contacted about the problem. You may be lucky and get replacement parts, and LEGO get the information that can be used to make future products better. Erland, Part Design

WD is a set that is doing very well sales wise. You probably can't find it in stores long into 2012. Just my 2 cents at pushing sales even further Or more honestly: get this unique set while you can (if you are going to get it anyway). At least if you ever see it on sale (which I guess every Bionicle/HF set goes at some point). I may be proven totally wrong. Front aka Erland
