  1. Actually I think you can only buy the customized sets in 27 countries. It says somewhere on the site. EDIT: ok, here it is, 23: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France(Metropolitan/French territory located in Europe), Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Poland, Portugal, United Kingdom, United States.
  2. Thank you for the explanations Aanchir, I'm downloading the new LDD version as I write. Did not even think about the hoses when I looked at your work here, but to get that to work is surely not trivial. If there's something I like it's 3D angles, so they better have it right in LDD.
  3. Nice to see you having a go at building with the new parts in LDD. How is the handling of the parts in LDD, easy ? Haven't tried it myself yet.
  4. B-models is a mandatory part of Technic models, and have always been as far as I know. Now some Bionicle sets are more or less purely Technic designs, (as a mather of fact Bionicle is considered part of Technic building system), but the vehicles of Bionicle 2008 and 2009, didn't have any B-models. As my application to join the Hero Factory Design team (just imagine if this was true), I've made this B-model of set #8996, Skopio XV-1. Creating alternative models is a tough job. You only have the parts from the original set. Put something meaningful together that differs from the original, using as many parts as possible. Well I had an idea and went for it. A tank with arms made for grabbing evil villains. Armed with the same three shooters as Skopio. Driver highly integrated into a protective cabin. Click on the pictures to view them in up to 1000 pixels width on flickr. Here a view from the front, showing the weapons, arms etc. Here the cabin (actually the entire upper part) has been tilted foreward, and the cabin lid opened, to allow the driver to exit. The driver has a tight fit inside the cabin, but can move in and out. I managed to get a fairly solid build, and nothing really falls apart even during intense playing. The upper part of the structure does flex some, if you just pull the outer end of the arms, making the double-click-joints rotate. Maybe I'm not stuck as a Part Designer Front
  5. Pictures were taken in Copenhagen by a Norwegian and "stolen" for some Russian "news". 2012 information is confidential, which is why the public haven't got it yet.
  6. Thank you very much for doing this solid review. I've only seen pictures of these early Bionicle sets, and had no idea how much they contained, or that they even had motors.
  7. Did any of you guys notice that Bricklink.com messed up the inventory of the Heroes 2.0. BL claims that 90625, the small torso with wide shoulders, is used on all six heroes. Bricklink catalog entry 90625 Can't find the part design number of the more narrow torso right now. But Stormer 2.0 use it.
  8. That's the true spirit, build something amazing, take it apart again, to build something else. What a nice truck....
  9. Yet two more pictures taken at LEGO WORLD 2011 in Copenhagen. The largest Evo 2.0 ever made:
  10. I think I saw a pussycat at LW 2011 in Copenhagen.
  11. HERO FACTORY set displayed at LEGO WORLD 2011 in Copenhagen. Check out the same photostream on flickr for pictures of HERO FACTORY designers etc.
  12. Here Morten in red shirt with his creation in front of him. Eurobricks members Kim T (center), Copmike (left) and Ras (rigth) are with him.
  13. Four pictures from the presentation of the new set at LEGO WORLD 2011 in Copenhagen: Maersk train, designer Pierre etc.
  14. Just a service update from the LEGOWORLD Copenhagen 2011 thread: LEGOWORLD 2011 thread at EB
  15. I will be "working" in the Hero Factory area saturday and sunday, together with designers from USA and UK. The building tables will feature the 2011 elements that has not been released in the Nordic countries yet. "Secret" sets will be on display. Come and build a cool action figure, please
  16. Maybe it's not fair to compare a new bone piece with a 3M axle ? Counting the number of parts makes little sense.
  17. Nürnberg is the worlds biggest toy fair. I would be very surprised if not all 2011 HF sets were displayed.
  18. Excellent. I've followed the progress on flickr.
  19. I'm one of the many running around in the background, e.g. black clothes in the end of part 3 talking to my colleague Steffen.
  20. Cerim got our nice HF t-shirt on.
  21. No, but the arced 3x3 half-width technic beam, meant that the decorated shell had to be turned up-side-down, and now it slightly overlaps the shell on the lower leg. But these double-legs can twist etc. slightly, allowing room for shells that overlap.
  22. Yes, parts with no design number on them are often given a strange number in BL. Skopio got 12, while Toa Mata Nui got 10 of these balls with through-hole. To be honest I have no control over the set designers. I constantly tell them to use new colours, or other stuff, but they shake their heads at me. You will though see a set in the future, with a lot of 53585. A hell of a lot.
  23. Yes drilldozer got these feet in black, as does Bionicle Stars set Skrall 7136. 53585 ? that does not give me anything on BL. Are you sure a part got this number ? I am not allowed to sell LEGO I buy as an employee in our store in Billund. But apart from that there are no restriction to what I can use BL for. I often use BL to find parts, even at work. It's the best tool for me. But I'm not registred on BL. Erland
  24. Here is a Technic version of Firelord thigh-beef-up, including some Bionicle-Stars feet.
  25. The leg design was adjusted today after work, and has no resemblance with future sets. Firelord is not angry at the fans. He's disappointed.
