  1. Notice that this is the first time we have a head or mask which attach directly to a ball via the "ball snap". You know, once in a while even an engineer can get good ideas that a designer can use My all time favorite of "smallest price point" sets. Erland Part Design.
  2. I'm sad that I couldn't spend more time with you all, but I was a bit stressed up towards the weekend. Still very nice to see you all again, and the new faces I have never met.
  3. I think I'll drop by after work thursday, seeing if some of you are around at the village. Will make a phone call to one of you, checking first.
  4. Thank you for the review. I like how you showed some of the complex sub-assemblies, and I remember how fascinated I was by those when I built the set for the first time. In my eyes this set is the best Bionicle/HF, among those I know. It's a unique set. Erland Part Design
  5. Oops, somebody used an old prototype version of that shield for the picture on the polybag. The moulds for the helmets are the same as used in 1.0. To my knowledge no HF part has ever been produced in other places than Europe and Mexico. Front part Design
  6. As the design team for Hero Factory and Super Heroes were to do (and are still doing) building events in e.g. Denmark and Germany, they needed a picture to promote the events. What better than to ask a Part Designer with a passion for photography to arrange that. On the 10th of January we walked over in front of the new 5 level parking building, decorated with studs (yes I know that Technic holes would be more appropriate). I guess that some of you fans would appreciate me posting a picture of the Design Team on my flickr account, and here too. Back, from left: Matt, Jeffrey, Brian, Simon, Christoph, Esben. Front: André, Cerim, Karsten, Jes. cheers Erland Part Design and nerd
  7. Had to test how to use live view on my new camera, to set a proper tilt action on my special camera lens. Both heads are more or less in focus. Hope you like it.
  8. The new chest shell (armor) is huge. It connects on the two outer balls on a wide torso. Hard to use on small mocs, but quite cool for large experiments. In a way it is similar to the drilldozer shell, regarding connections. I actually used it today on a moc I made at work today. It ended up covering the back of a robot kind of thing. I moved back to the HF office friday, not working on the project though, but somewhere I have to have a table It is the best office in all of the LEGO company. This also allows me to play more Gran Turismo 5 on PS3 and 55 inch screen with my friend and HF/Bionicle designer Jeffrey. I guess I don't have to tell you that I do use the handbrake a lot on in Monaco Dark lines all over the place, and a lot of power slides. Did some secret stuff and some system parts while I was away from my favorite toy line, the new building system used in e.g. HF. Erland, Part Design
  9. The video is in my opinion one of the better ones from the varies presentations of "special sets". A bit of fun added. Two very different personalities. When I first saw this set, was when a college of mine brought it to his desk. He was technical coach on the set development. I instantly jumped up from my table, ran round to his table facing mine, and started touching this huge R2D2. It just looks lovely. Erland Part Design
  10. You can actually see it in the far distance, left bottom corner of your picture. It is not underground, which would have been very nice indeed, but I think there was some problems with ground water etc. in the Billund area, preventing deep structures. Remember, while many employees at LEGO are strange, not everyone drives a submarine to work. Erland, Part Design
  11. In Billund we are building big, not just roller coasters. The new PMD building is rising fast, it's already huge, and I think we will move into it in late 2012. It is situated between the PMD main building and Techhouse. What has already been finished, is the new 5 level of parking house for the employees at LEGO in down town Billund. I would suggest a walk by these two building, which kind of give another perspective on the success of the company right now. Erland Part Design
  12. I am the part designer in PMD who would like to engineer bikes :-) Erland
  13. I think I'll join in at some time too. Marcos, maybe we could go to their "camp" at one point in the event.
  14. Thank you guys. I wanted to not use any technic parts at all in this MOC, and I kind of proved that it is possible to build only with our new (as of 2011) bone parts.
  15. Thank you. The dragon use 8 torsos: 3x 90623, Torso 11x9M 2x 90625, Torso 9x9M 3x 90626 Torso 9x7M
  16. HF 2.0 sets (and even some 3.0) went on sale, and combined with the disassembly of more or less all sets I have, I am now able to build pretty big. Only black bones and silver (colour 315, except for the eyes) shells are used. A challenge to get a sturdy structure and something that also looks like something. Picture taken 5 seconds before life is squeezed out of Bulk: Fight is over: A Moc like this is not possible without a couple of WD sets, to get the much needed 90622, beam with double ball cups. Hope you enjoy. Erland Part Design
  17. There might be a difference between what people want for the sets and what they are actually selling for.
  18. The head of xt4 features something never seen before. Erland Part Design
  19. If you want to build larger creatures, get WD. He has 10 C-type Beams 5M long in black. They are the most used part in larger mocs, and so rare in sets. Erland Part Design
  20. Cool to see that Japanese astronaut letting the minifigure float in no gravity (on legospace.xom). The atlantis suit finally made it into space Astronaut
  21. I think the left one in the upper row is a very old part with an old logo design. But not sure.
  22. I like your colour schemes for the line up of the mocs.
  23. Very nice proportions. I like big things around the shoulders. An untraditional way to use an Exo-force arm to attach the double-pegged detail parts at one peg. Kind of never thought of that idea.
  24. The problem with the internet is that most people using it, has a keyboard only hosting the letters H, A, T, and E. Erland Part Design
  25. xt4 is a "buy-multiple" set
