  1. HY is "Half Year" (the names say 1HY so "first half year" is the most logical. Also see below with PT) I also recall PT (as well as HY) being used in rumors last year as well, so don't jump the gun! Also, I'll reiterate what I said in the Castle thread:
  2. For those curious what is meant by "Big Bang." (Apparently) the term has been tossed around internally to describe a release of product backed by a huge media campaign similar to Ninjago's 2011 and Chima's 2013. I do think that, if it is officially called "Big Bang," then Lego's casual Big Bang Theory fans are going to be very misled.
  3. The discussion that is still over in the 2015 thread is pointing out that Ekimu is the "Mask Hunter" set. Wouldn't make more sense if it was Makuta? I mean he is hunting for the MoUP, after all. His set number that was supposedly revealed awhile back points that he'd be the size of a Titan (Tahu/Kopaka/Kulta). Wouldn't making him protector sized first make more sense?
  4. It states that, "thanks to an user on Eurobricks..." (paraphrase). Also that Vader fan-art has been in circulation for a while. I hate to burst that bubble, as I'm all for this rumor should it be true.
  5. That may have been one of the funniest and well timed moments I've seen on this show! Love this little filler pieces.
  6. Sir Von Lego has been notorious for having insider information. Also note that this IGN news post is around two months old (not to mention that it's IGN. They'll twist up what people say in order to get more people to see their work). A lot of contracts can be signed in that window of time. I guess time will tell, though.
  7. Jigglypuff was up for over two weeks online when she was restocked. She has been the lowest valued so far (not mine, sadly). Ness has been restocked in store three times already. Twice online. Greninja had nearly 100 per store. Things are certainly looking brighter with these exclusives, but Palutena was not at all the easiest. For the first five minutes, us Amiibo fans crashed Amazon. That's unheard of these days, but somehow we did it. Also, the prospects for Dark Pit have gotten a bit more grim. 20 Dark Pit minimum per store (this is basically all that small stores will get).
  8. They aren't necessarily defects... well... not all of them, at least. And for the record, this work of art is from the initial reveal.
  9. For the first time that I can remember, Toys R Us has SERIOUSLY marked up these sets. Avoid them at all costs!!
  10. This more than ever makes me want to pay the extra money for these lovelies. That photo is excellent!
  11. And that's not confirmed either, mind you. In no way was it ever brought to light that those robes would have any significance to next year. Discussion of the TV show and its materia are meant for its specific thread in the Culture and Multimedia subforum.
  12. My local Lego Store had the new Chima, Star Wars, City, and Creator sets in mid May (they were due out June 1st and were out before my Toys R Us got them). The Airjitzu flyers were also out two weeks earlier at the same Lego Store. Apparently the only dates that they stick to are those that are enforced, similar to Toys R Us (and occasionally Target for that matter).
  13. Like most new releases, they usually arrive to stores two weeks in advance. They might be put on the shelves immediately, but this depends if there's a street date for them, which for Ninjago, I wouldn't think so... I guess we'll have to see.
  14. Because every all-seeing nation needs to have some significance. Shame. I was looking forward to having water based vehicles for all of the Ninja. In the TV (this might be relevant to the sets, mind you) the ninja visited a city in the clouds called "Cloud Kingdom." The main form of transportation was flying boats, so the whole idea of sky pirates isn't very far fetched. Although we'll probably get a sky castle as well. Sky pirates make me want steampunk... Darn it, just2good, just spill us with your 2goodness already!!!
  15. To add, Super Mario Maker or Star Fox Zero will most likely be attributed to him. That or they'll release Mother 3 in honor of him, but that's a little bit far fetched. EDIT: The Amiibo Availability Chart has been updated. -Dark Pit and Palutena are now listed under "Exclusives." -Extra Sonic and Samus deleted. -Sheik, Samus, and the Inklings have been moved. -Yarn Yoshi, Chibi-Robo, Isabelle, and Digby are packaged alongside pre-orders for their respective games and are available now for pre-order.
  16. 2014 was the anomaly. Due to demand, Lego had to quickly make up some sets, and with a more limited amount of time. Also, this is more likely for one wave: - 3 - Small sets (90-220 pieces) - 2/3 - Medium sets (240-550 pieces) - 2/3 - Large sets (600-900 pieces) - 1 - Flagship set (1,000 + pieces) (this is typically a "Summer only" type of set) - 1/2 - Retailer Exclusive set (300-330 pieces) Also,as an example, here's a total of this year's sets as a whole (excludes Airjitzu Flyers, and the Temple) - 7 - Small sets (90-220 pieces) - 5 - Medium sets (240-550 pieces) - 4 - Large sets (600-900 pieces) - 1 - Flagship set (1,000 + pieces) - 4 - Retailer Exclusive set (300-330 pieces)
  17. Despite recent events we have some tragic Amiibo news as well. Dark Pit is exclusive to Best Buy. He will be available on July 31st. There will be no pre-orders. There will be none available online. They are only available in store. Limit of one per person. As an example, a distribution center in California is receiving 9,000 Dark Pits. With about 78 stores in its, each store will have at least 100. There are positives an negatives with this one. However, the exact opposite can be said about Palutena... Palutena is the first ever Amazon Exclusive. She releases on July 24th. She will only be available online. There will be no pre-orders). Her orders will be during "normal business hours" (as opposed to midnight). Limit of one per person. Amazon Gaming has specifically stated that she is the best stocked Amiibo they have received to date, but with eye defects being prominent in Palutenas, buying multiples will be impossible. There are only negatives here.
  18. Lego should have really stopped with Fusion. They are terrible with app games, and they need to stop trying to get into this market. Gimmick, after gimmick, after gimmick. When will they realize that making app games for niche computer specs doesn't help either. Such a shame too, it would have been cooler if it was some sort of small online game.
  19. *2018 The Lego Movie theme is clearly done. No new sets in two release windows.
  20. Dang... I really want the boxes to be dark blue hue. Especially since the theme is pirate (and there fore potentially ocean) themed. I'd also love to have black/gray Ninjago boxes in the future too.
  21. The Level Packs unlock one additional level according to the theme of the Level Pack.
  22. He will be remembered... directly... in our hearts. Now we undersand...
  23. Nope. Not foolish at all. I direct you to the likes of Transformers, Marvel and DC Super Heroes, and My Little Pony. All have stellar movie franchises airing simultaneously as adored (some critically acclaimed) TV series (plural) air on television. Now whether or not the show goes on hiatus until Summer of 2018 after the movie premiers (which is not what you originally stated), that's something completely different, as the show wouldn't end, but rather, take a break while the Movie takes the spotlight for a year. Transformers is such a toy series that also follows this formula when it came to movie-heavy years (not so much anymore, though).
  24. No This is a look in the future, by but by no means did they imply that this is how they will look next season. No You really processed that entire scene wrong. And, again, no. No one has ever said the TV show will end in 2016, just so that the Ninjago movie can have it's hay-day. It's foolish to not continue marketing such a successful series, especially if the movie turns out as good as The Lego Movie was. In fact, I truly believe that was an issue with the Lego Movie. They could have really marketed the heck out of it and make it extremely relevant to Lego as a whole. Just look up @tormentalous
  25. Plenty, apparently. Of course, due to recent events with his YouTube Channel, it is perfectly fine if he keeps quiet. Besides, we'll be fully informed in no-time.
