  1. No problem at all. Lego's cache apparently updated again with the Ninjago Polybags again. Either that or Brickset finally decided to put them into their database.
  2. I did some research and it's mostly common in those paralyzed below the waist, but, of course like with anything, there are a few exceptions. This isn't the time to go into detail though, and in the event that it were touched upon in the show, it might confuse children who might see themselves, or know someone having this type of impairment. In all honesty that would be the dealbreaker if such a story was even thought of being told. That's why I find Ronin as the premier choice. He has no defining backstory. Certain physical features (yes they are limited) add up (even more so than Kai, should I mention), and they haven't touched on whether or not Ronin was the one who built R.E.X. or not (meaning that he's an inventor). He's also just as talkative, but, all in all, it's just speculation.
  3. Much like Aanchir, it's all based on logic. Or do you mean you want proof that those themes are coming out first? Your proof.
  4. And suddenly my adult mind has come to a deeper understanding of the truth... *ahem* Anyway... I'm curious if we are going to see any exclusive sets sometime next year. Most of the exclusives we got this year from Ninjago were absolutely phenomenal! I just hope that all of the exclusives didn't go to Nexo Knights and that the King's Mech is the only one that has some serious appeal.
  5. Not necessarily. The reason for the January release (along with Aanchir's points) is because kids actually have money at that time (Christmas money/returning stuff they don't like). Also, I don't exactly know where you got the idea that most kids' birthdays are after June. People are born all throughout the year, you know... This also goes along the fact that the US will only be getting Creator, Princesses, City, and Technic. The new Technic and Creator sets blend in with previous releases, and won't take away from sales, whereas Princesses and City (Police) haven't had a new release since last Winter (not to mention the City Fire sets who haven't had a new line in nearly three years) so something fresh is needed.
  6. Jabba's Palace was never pulled, it was stated to be taken off shelves within the year, giving the offended party a sense of victory. In the end, Jabba's Palace still lived its full life, and Lego had to do nothing about it except respond and make the money they intended. On the subject of offended parents, there are those that are just as offended with Ninjago as anyone would be about "demon-like-lava-monsters." Haunting spirits, cultists that worship snakes, and, dare I say it... *shudders* elemental magic(!!) are just a few of the hilarious cases I've seen. I'm sure Lego is familiar with such extremes from parents. Truly no one is satisfied with anything these days.
  7. Keep in mind that the Hageman brothers are working well beyond Skybound. They might be referring to Jay loving his father in the future. Regarding Cyrus Borg: His condition of being paralyzed since birth might impair him from...er...having children. This might debunk him from being Jay's dad, but that's pure speculation on my part.
  8. We were only assuming that Jay's last name is Walker based off of the credits in one of the "Rise of the Snakes" episodes where it lists Ed and Edna (not Jay) as having the last name of "Walker." It was generally assumed from that point that that was Jay's last name, although the Hageman brothers have recently stated otherwise. Keep in mind that the Jay Walker One might also be named as a pun rather than actually being named after Jay (in the show at least. I don't know if that was Lego's intention as they might have assumed the same as us initially). Also, in other news, the Hageman brothers have stated that we have already seen Jay's father in the show. Whether it's still Ed who has been leading some sort of double life (but that's taking it too far) or not who knows, but there is quite a few candidates that could apply. This includes, but is not limited to: Cyrus Borg The Mailman (This is a bit far fetched) Clouse Master Chen (who said that Skylor had to be his only child) Lou (insert above statement but replace Cole with Skylor) Wu (I would say this one is the most far fetched) But let's be honest here, who is the one character that has been developed enough in this series to merit, not only a memorable moment of light on the show, but also the chance at being the parent of one of the Ninja? Dare I say it...
  9. Looking at the final boxes... DANG these sets are great. Many of theme have changed extremely (Jay's Elemental Dragon)! The pirate crew is also fantastic. I hope that this storyline continues into the Summer, just so that we can get more sets like these.
  10. So no Lego Batman Movie CMFs? No biggie. Exciting news tho
  11. We really need a secondary lady aside from Misako (and the fact P.I.X.A.L. doesn't physically exist) now that Nya is a main character (which has been nearly 6 years in the making!)
  12. But that's just it. Quips, some odd wisdom (which is very becoming of his age and almost unfitting), or concern about his father/friends. That's not development, though. That's just dialogue to keep the show going. The only reason Lloyd gets on villains' nerves is either due to the (now passed) prophesy, or his reputation for being the center of said prophesy. That's not exactly development either.
  13. If Huw's sources are to be believed... (and we should believe them).
  14. Wait? WHAT! Where does this info come from?
  15. True. It wasn't new in 2011 with the spur, but the spur still isn't fresh from the Airjitzu wave. The Stone Army year at the earliest.
  16. YAY! Opinion time. Cole's Dragon: I'm disappointed, but also somewhat content with what we have here. Sure it's small for the character that's been notorious for being strong, but hey, it has wings, and works as a cheap entry set to Skybound. Ninja Bike Chase: Loving that Nya's getting Ninja love. Having Kai and her in the same set is pretty sweet too. I've been waiting for dark red vehicles, and the fact that Nya's vehicles also work well with her Samurai X gear makes it even better! Sky Shark: Not at all what I was expecting. It's cool though! It looks like it has a bomb dropping function. I just hope that those treasure chest aren't the "droppers." The Creative Ambush set from the Lego Movie did not handle that well as the chests would easily open when touched. If they are more weighted down, then I'm fine with it. The sleek design is great. Jay's Elemental Dragon: It's primarily blue and white, which is a color scheme that does not work well with Jay (or maybe the original Lightning Dragon attack spoiled me, not quite sure). It's about the same quality as the Master Wu Dragon, which is good. i just hope that when we finally get clearer images it will look more impressive. Raid Zeppelin: One of my favorites vehicles of this wave. I fear that the balloon portion itself isn't a complete balloon. The Technic axle appears to be connecting to an apparatus inside the balloon proper. I hope I'm wrong though. It's a floating pirate ship. How can you go wrong with this set? The little vehicle for Zane is pretty cool too. Tiger Widow Island: Day one. This set looks absolutely marvelous. It evokes a classic Pirate feel while still keeping it Ninjago. Ghost Cole is included. Dogshank (the big-fig) looks really impressive too. I'm curious about the details inside the building though. The Wu Balloon is cute. Misfortune's Keep: It's certainly a clunky looking ship. I'm hoping for more features aside from the apparent poseable propellers and monkey ship. Nadakhan is in this one, so I'm going to get eventually, but not the highest on my list. This is definitely a strong wave. Looking forward to it!
  17. I'm really liking the concept of the Ultimate sets. I'm curious, though, as the little weapon storage thingies have a set up that would be useful for some sort of game. I wonder if that's the point of the Ultimate sets. I'd also be very disappointed if these things turn out to be $10 a pop.
  18. They aren't new. Those are the same shuriken that they used since the theme's inception. I must agree that Lloyd simply isn't what he used to be thematically. Sure he was the big deal in the first two seasons, but, as the necessity of having him as the "Chosen One" has died down, he's just gotten stale. I was absolutely thrilled when he took the back seat for "Possession" and I was a bit disappointed to see that it didn't affect him very much. In Tournament of Elements, he was the only Ninja that was keeping everyone on track which detracted from whatever personality he had, and it doesn't seem that this dutiful, and semi-wise Lloyd is going to disappear. As a positive though, this has allowed the other Ninja to develop tremendously, and I couldn't be more happy about that!
  19. It's actually a year-and-a-half of availability with "normal" sets. Exclusives are primarily 2 years unless they are strong sellers (Modular Buildings). There are some sets that are excluded from this rule, especially the smaller sets as supply can often be greater than demand (many of last year's smaller Star Wars sets from January are still available).
  20. Let's keep in mind that the original Nunchuks of lightning had handles carved like dragons in most forms of media outside of the sets themselves. Whether these are the Nunchuks of Lightning remains to be seen, as Jay may be using his elemental powers to conduct electricity through ordinary nunchuks. However... I would love having the Ninja return to their roots, and would love to see the Golden Weapons again. If they truly will reforge the Golden Master's armor, than wouldn't that mean that they would forge weapons for Nya and Lloyd too? I would love to see the weapons choice should the story got that direction.
  21. Wait... so this is a reboot of a previous theme, then.
  22. It's not a hypothetical skull motif. It's there. A brand new mold for certain. It has only one spot to fit the blade into, and it looks like it has the handle for the blade molded into it as opposed to being plugged into/attached to it. The Aeroblades also have one side for a stud, by the way.
  23. None of them. Krazi would have been suggestive, but the writers used male pronouns and was played by a male in the TV show. I love the look of these villains! I love how they're sticking with Ninjago's individually named baddies, except making them FAR more unique between each other.
  24. Well Nadakhan looks great but that pales in comparison to the sound of these new sets for Summer. You had me at Ultra Sonic Raider 2.0.
  25. That's true. There is a green Anacondrai head in the next wave of Juniors sets. However, it is not an Anacondrai as both Juniors sets feature Venomari as the enemy Snake Tribe. Despite the head molds being the same, that doesn't mean that they are a part of the same tribe at all. Think of it like Chokun and Fang-Suei from 2012. They both had the exact same head design/mold, but they were in no way a part of the same tribe. This discussion belongs in either the Ninjago 2016 or Juniors 2016 thread, but seeing as it's resolved, there is no need to, and we should end the conversation here.
