  1. I watched FLCL. I got a couple chuckles out of it, sure, but this anime is a really mixed bag. I felt like there were things that just sort of "existed" rather than getting any actual explanation. That's outside of the fact that this anime can't decide what it's supposed to be. If anyone feels so inclined to watch it, be my guest, but I certainly wouldn't recommend it. I too loved Blood Blockade Battlefront. The cast of characters is tremendously wonderful. I can't wait for the last episode! October 3rd is the broadcasting date of the final episode in Japan. Just a couple more weeks...
  2. Having never owned an Invasion from Below set, I'm not sure how big they are, but aren't those gold/trans- colored add-ons the mini-Kaiju eggs pieces? Onua is definitely the highlight of the sets! Was it confirmed if that second group of sets found (Ekimu, Umarak the Destroyer) are part of this initial wave?
  3. The issue is that this is in the wrong forum. This thread belongs in the action themes forum now. The majority of haters are castle purists expecting something more of their cup-of-tea. Once this thread moves, there won't even be near enough negative comments. People expecting an action theme will look at it from the perspective of an action theme, rather than a Castle theme if it was there. I personally think the sets look fantastic, and the concept is genius. I'm really looking forward to what will be coming out of this theme, and that futuristic looking city/castle in the background certainly has me excited, especially if it ends up as a set! I also really love the old-school look these things have. Gives me a good nineties Lego vibe. The Ice Planet colors sweeten the deal.
  4. A grey and green Ninja you say... perhaps Cole did have some lasting effects from the previous season of the TV show... I'm really happy that Nya is in a smaller set. I'm going to hold off on really critiquing anything until we have pictures.
  5. Very excited to hear what's coming up, but I'll withhold judgement until I see pictures. I love the style of your art, Sci. Got anywhere that I can view more?
  6. As someone who wants to go into the voice acting field, I'm above ecstatic to see this featurette pop up on my feed!
  7. Lack of communication between Lego Dimensions and their retailers is the reason why pre-orders haven't been updated to the correct time windows and such (and why Laval is still listed at Gamestop). If the character is part of Wave 1 (or any other waves/release dates for that matter) it will be available on day one, regardless of store exclusivity.
  8. Lego Dimensions revealed today that the Jay and Laval Fun Packs will be exclusive to Toys R Us. This means that all pre-orders for Laval at Gamestop will be cancelled before release. I tweeted out to them regarding other exclusives, and was promptly responded to, stating that they were the only two exclusives planned at the moment.
  9. The CHI dotted question mark showed up in August of 2012. I remember the odd thought of it having to do with Chimeras, or so people led themselves to believe. Of course, nothing official aside from the name was known at that point and that it had to do with "CHI" regardless of it's form.
  10. Strolled by and thought I'd contribute to the fun! It's Phantom of the Opera If I'm right, someone else can take my turn.
  11. If any of you recall from the instruction leak from a couple months ago for the portal set (and whether those instructions are still available, I do not know) you'd notice that the 'keystones' (the purple shields around the portal set proper) are stored behind the portal, implying that you should apply them to the portal ring as you earn the functions in the game. But did you know that the keystones aren't the only parts built onto the set that you can move an repurpose? The 1x2 hinges with the HERO Factory Minifig arms on them, on both sides of the portal proper can be removed as well as the SNOT-brick/camera piece on the right side to make...
  12. This is... divine! I love how much detail you have in this build. I would have tried to make her hair wider, but for the sake of weight, I can understand why that would be an issue. I had no idea that you could fit the front airplane wheels into the small hole in the Zamor sphere pieces! Is it an NPU? I've certainly never seen it!
  13. You mean the entire Expanded Universe that Disney fully ret-conned when they bought Lucasfilm? Episodes 1-7 would not at all be out of the question, simply because, without the movies, it isn't Star Wars. Also, just because Disney is in full promotion force with Star Wars in Disney Infinity, that doesn't necessarily mean that Dimensions can't have their chance somewhere down the road. That's if they get the license all-together, of course.
  14. Got the Battle Pack yesterday. Wooo's head is unique. And oddly simplistic.
  15. So where exactly did everyone get the idea that: Umarak the Destroyer and Ekimu the Mask Maker are titans? The newly revealed "beasts" are elemental/set combinations? These are Summer sets?
  16. I just finished Kill La Kill. Over the top, that's for sure, but it was hilarious (although from the same director, it's certainly not Gurren Lagann). I was sadly spoiled some very key info regarding the endgame of the anime, so it didn't exactly leave a mark on me, but I definitely suggest it. Keep in mind that a lot of the show is NSFW.
  17. -True -Nintendo has stated that they are willing to try more third party Amiibo -Shovel Knight is not compatible with Super Mario Maker The Amiibo Availability Chart has been updated: Wave 5b has begun pre-orders. R.O.B., Duck Hunt, and Mr. Game and Watch are available in an exclusive 3-pack at Gamestop, Dr. Mario is exclusive to Target, and (if rumors are to be believed) Bowser Jr. is exclusive to Toys R Us. Classic 8-Bit Mario and Modern 8-Bit Mario will be offered at different times (possibly the same time, but the latter will be a Walmart Exclusive). Mii Fighters will only be in a 3-Pack in the US. They release November 1st. Mewtwo is scheduled for November 13th alongside the Animal Crossing Amiibo. Mega Yarn Yoshi releases that Sunday, and Falco on November 20th alongside Star Fox Zero.
  18. Regular retail stores get retailer catalogs to order what sets they do/do not want on their shelves or to see what kinds of product they should be expecting. Lego Stores don't receive retailer catalogs from Lego as they receive all of their product directly from Lego regardless of store size, product amount, type, or size. They will never have any information until about 2 weeks in advance, and by then, we'll probably know more than they do. Asking Lego Store Employees about future stuff is fruitless unless they have been following Toy Fair reveals. I've been asking for bits and pieces for years, and every effort has always been fruitless.
  19. As was said before, Hulk-Smash flipped past them. I guess we'll just have to be patient.
  20. It's a shame that it was leaked, if I had seen it with no knowledge, I would have died. I'm extremely excited. Also apparently the physical versions of the game has raised in price because they are also including the soundtrack with every purchase. Anything for Jake Kaufman to get more money is money well spent. Chibi Robo has been a serious issue when it comes to pre-orders. In the US, the Amiibo only comes in the bundle, but there are only pre-orders out there for a game without the Amiibo. I think it's odd, because we are getting really close to release, and I really, really want one. But in all seriousness, this is the Amiibo that no one can deny they want. This is literally the cutest, and best Amiibo I have ever seen. Only a Kirby Plush Amiibo could dethrone it as my favorite... Also that Limited Edition Xenoblade X bundle is mighty tempting.
  21. Are they really that slow? Hmm... I must be wary of that site in the future.
  22. Expect more Doctor Who in the future, whether Lego Dimensions or not!
  23. If we're talking about who we think will occupy the remaining 5 constraction sets from The Force Awakens, I may as well chime in with my prediction. Aside from a certain white colored infantry character, I can see Finn, Rey, Poe Dameron, Kylo Ren, and Captain Phasma being the other 5. While I'm sure that would mean fleshy heads for Finn and Rey, I can see Poe utilizing his cross shaped starfighter pilot gear. Now for Phasma, aside from looking a lot like said white colored character, the possible added cape/pauldron and possible extra parts would upgrade her to "Obi-Wan status" (regarding price, despite the character's size, much like the constraction figure of aforementioned Jedi). But let's be honest, if we aren't getting Kylo Ren, that would have been a serious marketing mistake on Lego's part. And if he truly is coming, I hope the go the "hooded" route, whether fabric or molded. I'm also holding out for a C-3PO and R2-D2 combo pack in the vein of Mask Maker vs. Skull Grinder, but at Star Wars prices, I'm not getting my hopes up. Besides, getting them separately wouldn't be much of an issue either.
  24. Now I'm even more excited...
  25. That would just make me happy on so many levels. I own both of these, and I wouldn't be disappointed for a third! I'm worried that it's just going to be a boat with a couple of the Friends Hot Air Balloon's...er... balloons stuck to it. What I'd love to see is something in the vein of the Expedition Balloon. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Elemental treasure chests with elemental themed items would be wondrous. However, getting a bunch of elemental, golden Pirate styled weapons would be just as lovely.
