  1. Heck, 300 of any currency is just too much for any Lego set. I'm certain that the Sea Cow will be the most expensive set I own for many years to come, simply because anything above that price point is just not worth it... Well until I get sufficient funds, but when is that going to happen?
  2. The UK is getting them first, again. They aren't due until August in the US. The TV show date makes sense though, but that's for a different thread.
  3. Why couldn't they have been the classic designs. They would have gone so well with the vehicles. That chibi Eagle Interceptor is the cutest.
  4. Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is for everyone. Other good choices would be: Code Geass (lush world. confusing at first, makes complete sense later on) Steins;Gate (Also confusing, excellent writing) K-ON! (Cutesy. Fun slice of life. Music is catchy even though it's Japanese, regardless of Sub or Dub) Toradora (Sweet and heartfelt. Fun characters) The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (slice of life meets sci-fi, light hearted and somewhat confusing. Watch the movie after you've finished the series) Lucky*Star (hilarious slice of life) Attack on Titan (intense story, violent, incomplete at the moment. It continues next year) Angel Beats (interesting story. Can be heart-breaking at times. Prepare for feels) The Devil is a Part Timer! (hilarious. incomplete. Will continue soon.) And this list isn't just for Peppermint M. Everyone who watches anime, should at least try each and every one of these.
  5. MY HEART! All of the little chibi vehicles. All of the cool minifigs. I think I'm gonna be collecting all of these guys. I hope they'll be available at Lego Stores. They don't seem to like carrying Lego video game related items
  6. I was thinking of how our souls, as a fanbase, would be crushed by this information, but...
  7. Fun fact for you: The Ninjago: Shadow of Ronin game's text says the name phonetically. Ronin says "Reks" as opposed to "R.E.X." when he summons the Ronin R.E.X. vehicle. I have a feeling that a proper name has yet to be decided, if there ever was one.
  8. First, I don't do MOCs anymore. I'm not much in the "MOC"-iverse. Second. I'm no Chima hater. It's my opinion. I you don't like it, express "how so" in a civilized way, like an adult, rather than calling names. Or not at all. That works just as well. I currently own every Chima set that has been available to date, mind you. I know exactly what an excellent Chima set can, and is supposed to look like (Eris' Eagle Interceptor, I'm looking at you). The Lion CHI Temple could have sacrificed the motor bike function for an actual center tower complete with all amenities needed to make it satisfactory. That didn't happen, but oh well I guess. "Best Construction Toy" means nothing to me. If critics love it, wonderful. More press for Chima when it needed it. Does that mean they made the right choice? From their criteria, yes. It is a perfect build for someone in the target range, and it's design reflects that. As an adult, I wasn't as impressed, but, yet again, I'm not the target audience. Also, I can direct you to an actual Chima hater, if that's what you're looking for. There's been plenty that have shown their faces these past three years.
  9. Uh... a six box Ninjago DVD set!?!
  10. Now if the brat would share where this info comes from... that would be great. I'm really curious if they actually moved to Spinjago. I can see Shadow of Ronin being completely non-canon by the end of this season
  11. Mad Max will NEVER happen due to that very seem reasoning
  12. Have we ruled out the possibility that Unikitty might release later than the supposed first wave, despite her pre-orders being up?
  13. Sausage of strength... ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Anyway, I really love how much each of these sets come with. Each of them seems really substantial in what they include. We also have some really cool story elements revealed in those descriptions as well. Can't wait for the new season of the show.
  14. Uhm... All 42 are the initial wave of release. This is evident as there is clearly no print on the top of the box that specifically says "Wave 2" or anything similar for that matter. What appears to be dividers between the groupings seem to be an effect caused by the editing of the top of the box to see what it listed.
  15. There is so much to be desired about the Lion Chi Temple. It really could have been a lot fuller in size. All it really is is a line (or u-shape depending on your favorite configuration) of wall with a bridge that leads to a tower made of 4 support columns... We could have had an actual throne room. An actual bunk. Something legitimate in defense, but no... For what it is, though, it's definitely satisfactory. You get the bare essentials for locations that were featured in the TV show, whether detailed or not. Sadly the Lion Chi Temple isn't the only Chima tribe base/castle that suffers from lackluster design. Heck, I can't think of one that doesn't. The Croc Swamp Hideout is so-so, but it's probably the most forgivable. Lavertus' Outland Base and Spinlyn's cavern are sparse in both features, and overall girth for their price. They are at the bottom of my list of suggested sets overall. Sir Fangar's Ice Fortress and the Mammoth Stronghold should have been one complete set. The combination of the two makes a "bad guy Lion Chi Temple" in design. You can't really have one without the other. Then there's the Flying Phoenix Fire Temple. It's not even a temple, let alone the base of operations for the Phoenix. It's a docked flying bird ship, just as it is in the show. Now if we got ourselves a mini Cavora Palace, that would have been sufficient. Just my opinions, though.
  16. I just realized, 39 looks like Sensei Wu from Ninjago. You can sort of make out the straw hat and the bo staff.
  17. Teletoon is more reputable to be honest. It certainly gets exciting when leaks start to surface. Also, in regards to the term "Downgraded" as an episode name. Have we all forgotten that Zane is a robot? Perhaps this title, if it's even remotely true, is referring to him?
  18. He is correct. The Direct 2 Consumer (D2C) list that was leaked in 2014 has been correct in regards to US' promos to a tee. The only thing we're unsure of is what type of temple it is. It could belong to the First Spinjitzu Master. It could be Ronin's private getaway. It could be remnants of what was a group of Airjitzu ninja. It could belong to the Ghost Warriors. We won't know until July/August. It will be available this August for VIP members. But those who wait until September can get an exclusive Ninjago minifigure with it.
  19. For the record. Lego has two Summer release windows now compared to the one several years ago. They are selective when it comes to the order of their release. It usually comes out to which is more popular, or what will be getting a late November/December release. For instance: Star Wars is extremely popular, so Lego tends to release the summer sets in August. However, due to the inevitable Episode VII sets that will be releasing before the movie (like the Hobbit sets), they have decided that this year's Summer sets will release in June. Last year, Ninjago got a small wave, so they began trickling out in June. This year's summer is almost worthy in scale of a Winter release, so they are holding off until August. Disclaimer: I have no official basis to this. It's more or less a trend that I've noticed. 16 years worth of experience helps as well.
  20. They will. Maybe not this month, but the new sets have a small featurette in the newest Club Magazine. June at the latest.
  21. And I second that. Anyway, I got the May/June Lego Club Magazine earlier yesterday, and Antimatter's Hideout was greatly featured in the limited space Ultra Agents had. It appears that it is a June release.
  22. Just got the May/June Lego Club Magazine. The final wave of Chima is coming to America. This magazine featured all of the upcoming releases for June: Chima Ultra Agents Technic (the newer wave that Europe already has) Star Wars Mixels City Divers Jurassic World (although the wave releases May 1st).
  23. Ooh! That Sensei is the same one on that artwork that was found a couple months ago. So glad we're getting a minifigure of him! It looks fantastic. So what exactly is the "Secret World of the Ninja" book about?
  24. Also, for the record. I never said rehashes were a bad thing. The Kai Fighter and the Storm Fighter, OverBorg Attack and the Anacondrai Crusher, and the Fire and Ice Dragons; each pair is loved equally.
