My goodness the minifigs look great... Except what the heck are the Vermillion supposed to be? They don't look like Samurai.

I'll make the assumption that they can only use the ToC by taking something and creating it into something else. i.e. Garmadon's Dark Fortress being turned into the Ferris Wheel, Ed adn Edna's Junkyard piles being turned into the USR. With the monastery burned down, and the likelihood of the ash already being carried into the wind, there isn't a lot there that can be 'created' back into the Monastery. Unless, you know... they just etch into the cliff face and build a new one. Writers might not think of all the details.

There is a possibility that the show's writers were unaware of the fact that the sets say they are machines. Either that or a holographic visor, as stated before.

Just so that it's clear. Lego Store Employees are either coy, or literally know nothing, so your buddy from the Lego Store isn't going to help you much. The Gamestop employee, might be on embargo though, if there is news to come about Lego Dimensions at Gamescom. That friend would be your only source, again, if they are willing to spill it.

I would be patient on these leaks. Odds are they will be revealed at Gamescom within the next day or so, if they prove to be legitimate.

There was a press event at E3 that showed new art for LBM Batman, complete with a microphone, when the developers were talking about the Lego Batman Movie Story Pack that will be releasing in 2017. Just so that it's all clear, Story Packs only include one character, so no Bruce Wayne/Robin alongside Batman (I'm perfectly fine being corrected upon the set's reveal should this not be the case). It should also be said that LBM Batman would very clearly act, and (judging by the microphone in the still) function completely different than Starter Pack Batman.

Don't know if any of you have done yourself the favor of listening to the new song produced for Nexo Knights, .I really like the song, and I'm looking forward to more music like it during the theme's run.

Keep in mind that the fanboy hate is such a small minority, too. Even if they are negative, that's not going to change the movie's success, boycotts, petitions (which almost always do nothing), or otherwise. Of course, most (not all, let me clarify) of said fanboys are too young to understand that. I do hold value in the TV show, myself, and I would not appreciate if this movie was a different take on it directly. However, the movie is its own thing, and I will consider anything and everything about it as such: it's own thing. Think of it like some TV shows that have movies based on their characters. You look at the Avengers shows, and although Iron Man or Thor may be found in the movies, they are in the shows as well, existing completely separate from their movie counterpart (if not inspired by their movie counterparts). In fact both the movies and shows (and even the comics mind you, if we continue our Avengers theme here) inspire each other to try different concepts from their other material, and make up their own. So why can't LEGO? It's understandable for someone who is devoted to this theme to feel odd seeing it changed from its original self. But to survive, the theme must evolve, grow, and branch out into something that transcends generations. That's how most of these extremely popular franchises survive, and in all honesty, we should allow Ninjago the breathing room to do so. You may never know what great things may come from it.

There's a very deceptive cliche that is present in both reading media, and the TV show that point out that Monstrux is very much important to this year's sets (2016). In fact, if the cliche is implying what it seems, we already have Monstrux in set form... I mean technically, it already has. It's based on the mold used for Geolix and Tremorox in Power Miners.

So it's just Hands of Time then? No more Day of the Departed? I mean in all honesty, the only reason to have more Day of the Departed stuff is just to get Morro, and Samukai. But seeing as, odds are, Samukai's mold was discontinued and Morro still being available in sets from 2015, it would make some sense to move on.

Not true. US Lego stores apparently no longer carry store exclusives. I was quite disappointed by this, as my August 1st visit was met with disappointment due to that fact.

We're just waiting for the likes of AmazingBricks/Sir Gareth/LegoMilk to stroll in. CM4Sci and potentially just2good might stop by to tease/be coy, but that's just part of the fun for them I'm sure.

I'm a year behind on these things, and this set is going to make me catch up, and then some. I can't wait!!

It can be the modern day and involve their parents. "Involve" does not mean this entire season is about Kai and Nya's parents, and them only. Involve means that the story will pertain some sort of information, if not an important role, for these characters, not be about them only. It's apparent that "involve" is the word being misconstrued from the SDCC information. But this discussion would be probably better kept in the TV show thread...
